We have gone here several times and it is always great. This last trip was especially one to mention. Our waiter Charles was like our long last friend. He knew we brought our daughter because she was visiting from out of town and it ended up he lived in Tampa before so he told her places to go in Tampa. At some point the manager noticed she was not feeling good, a migraine. He stopped to see if she was ok. He brought her an ibuprofen and it helped. After dinner he brought her a beautiful box of chocolates to let her know he was thinking of her! Couldn’t ask for more!!! Oh, and did I mention food was excellent!!!

SO and I wanted to celebrate my new job(!!) so we decided to make a reservation at Fleming’s. As soon as we walked in everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, giving their congratulations and warm wishes. The hostesses also signed a congratulatory card and had it delivered to our table! It was very sweet. Our waiter was very attentive and answered all of our questions. We started off with the Seared Ahi Tuna appetizer. The spicy mustard sauce was great and the Ahi tuna was a great portion to split. While we were eating our appetizer, our waiter started decanting the Cakebread Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon for our entrees. I ended up ordering the Petite Filet Mignon with the Truffle-Poached Lobster companion. My steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and the bearnaise sauce was an excellent addition. SO and I also split a side of the sautéed mushrooms which were delicious. Everything ended up coming out perfectly and the waiter even ended up giving us a small box of congratulatory chocolates! I really enjoyed our meal at Fleming’s and definitely will be back for another celebration!

Always great! If you come here for the happy hour menu and then complain… Just get the burger and shut your pie hole.

My experience at this location was great! They have a great happy hour selection with a variety of appetizers to choose from. On this evening I only had two glasses of wine which I would have to say was divine… ofcourse wine makes anyone happy. There was a large party I had attended and I had already eaten but I am looking forward to returning for a second round. I am sure I will have to update my review but from what I could tell everyone in the party enjoyed their appetizers and dish. I loved the cozy feel of the outside patio area. They Closed It Off and turned on the heater which made It that much more inviting and warm. A great place to have a birthday dinner or any other special occasion.

Nothing to write home about here. We wanted to try something different from our go-to places like Eddie V’s and Del Frisco’s. The ambiance and décor are elegant and romantic, with dim lighting. Nice to have an iPad for looking at the wine selection in an organized fashion. For appetizers, we got the PEI mussels, which were excellent. The Fleming’s salad was great too. I had ordered the Alaskan King crab legs, and even though I tried to eat them quietly without any fuss, my fiancé realized I wasn’t enjoying myself. We both agreed they seemed old and/or frozen beforehand. Tasted like watered down rubber. I’m not one to complain, but the waiter even noticed from afar. They comped the meal for me and replaced it with their salmon dish, which was good. The side of mushrooms were tasteless. Their Mac n cheese is awesome! The service is on par. Their manager came over several times to check and recheck if we were happy. We ordered their chocolate lava cake and couldn’t finish it because it had an overwhelmingly salty taste. I’m hoping this was just a «miss», so I’ll try again one day to see if I can get a «hit».

Definitely one of my favorite happy hours in Houston — came for Halloween and both the HH menus were excellent — my favorites being the burger and pork belly! Service very good and a really nice ambiance. Can’t wait to come back. Would strongly recommend!

Food: I ordered Short Braised Rib which was not good. Not seasoned piece of meat and it was laying in a bowl of watery spinach. The menu said arugula not spinach. I would definitely not order this again. Friend ordered the filet which was satisfying. Drinks: I ordered Bourbon peach martini. First drink was delicious. I requested a second and I received a completely different tasting drink. I sent it back and that when I was informed they ran out of the original ingredients for the drink and substituted with another option. Very disappointed that instead of telling me upfront about the change, they were hoping I didn’t notice the substitution. Service: The service was great from our waitress. The floor manager/help on the other hand got too comfortable at our table and was saying some offensive inappropriate things about how a certain ethnic background always orders well done instead of medium, rare, etc. and anytime he seats a table with them he jokingly tells the staff to get ready to cook a burnt steak.

I tend to stop in to Flemings often since I live around the corner. Whether I have gone solo or taken friends or family, my experience at the bar and also in the restaurant never disappoints. The management team and servers are always extremely friendly and happy to help make your evening a good one. Their happy hour never fails to disappoint either!

Very warm and relaxing environment. The wait staff are very helpful and top notch. The wine options are superb. I ordered a shrimp bisque. It came with a cheesy bread topping — very base; the kind you have to eat slowly to take in all the flavor. Very yummy. I also ordered the pork chop — great flavor, juicy, lightly drizzled with a flavorful sauce. For a side, I tried the mac and cheese. The manager stopped by twice to check in on us. Excellent experience.

Visited Flemming’s for the first time last night on a celebratory occasion and left rather underwhelmed. I’ve heard great things in the past but unfortunately the experience did not match up to both my expectations, and the other prime steakhouses in town. Hostess and greeting was fine, but as soon as our server greeted us it started to go downhill. He was essentially inattentive and seemed distracted throughout the service. He forgot the specials(«ahhh… what are they again… look like baby heads of lettuce?» «you mean Brussel Sprouts?!»), we had to ask to be attended to, and had to have our bus boy serve us wine when our glasses were empty for a good 5 – 10 minutes. No mention of any dessert menu or anything other than the chocolate lava cake. The food was good, but not great. Steak seemed a little less flavorful than I would have liked(Had the 12oz filet) and the Flemmings potatoes and mac n cheese were both worth sides, but nothing truly amazing. Overall, not a terrible experience, but as the rating stars suggest«meh, I’ve experienced better» and for the $$$ values on the place, I would definitely recommend Vic & Anthony’s, Pappas Bros Steakhouse or Morton’s for a much better overall experience in both food and service.

I was invited here for a friends Birthday dinner during restaurant week. I’m not sure what I was thinking coming to a restaurant that specializes in steak and ordering chicken, but did and I regret it. The meal was off of the Restaurant week menu and it was suppose to be crusted chicken. However, it was thin, too crispy and difficult to chew. I ordered carrot cake as my third course and was pleased with it. If I ever return I’ll be sure to order steak next time, as everyone who was in my party that did was pleased.

Finished off last nights 2nd Anniversary dinner with a Chocolate Molten Lava Cake! From the time we walked in to the moment we left the whole experience was seamless! We were sat immediately upon entering(with a reservation) and welcomed with«A Happy Anniversary» by the hostess and our waitress. Also sitting on the table was a Happy Anniversary card from the restaurant. The waitress had wonderful drink recommendations and my cocktail(Farmers Daughter) was delicious! I had the braised shorts ribs and couldn’t have asked for a better cook on the dish. We left with a $ 25 gift card for future use and a box of chocolates provided by Flemings. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

The Thai calamari was to die for. The chipotle Mac and cheese is in the running for best macaroni I’ve ever had(no jokes here!) I didn’t get a steak, but the crab cakes on the appetizer menu was enough for a meal with a side and dessert and comes out to about $ 40. The crab cakes came 2 on a plate, 3oz each(pretty crabby!) and delicious. Give this place a try. The ambience is very elegant.

I’ve been to this location plenty of times, and most times, the service was impeccable and the food was consistent with the Fleming’s brand. The last time I was here, however, was a huge disappointment. Although the food was still good, the service was just sub par. It was Houston Restaurant Weeks and my sister who recently moved to Houston for college really wanted to try Fleming’s since they don’t have on in Dallas. Fine, I though. I made a reservation for a Wednesday night and stated that I wanted HRW menu. I came here right after work and picking up my sister. So no, I wasn’t dressed up in suit and tie. However, I wasn’t in a torn shirt and jeans either. I was dressed in a polo shirt with a pair of premium jeans. My experience started pretty good. The hostess was nice and friendly. However, once I got to our table, that’s when everything went downhill. When our waitress came, she didn’t bother to introduce herself to us. No «Hi! My name is XXX and I will be serving you today!» Instead, she came by, she dropped off the menus(both full and HRW menus) and told us that she’d be with some bread and water. Well, the water and bread did come out, but not from her. The next time I saw here, she asked if I wanted something to drink other than water. I asked for the cocktain/wine list because I know they have that iPad list. But instead, she just pointed to the full menu and instructed me to look in there. Oh well. I decided to get a French 75. And she proceeded to ask, «do you guys already know what you want?» Nope, she didn’t try to tell us what specials they had at the time, nor she asked us if we had any questions, or anything like that. Her attitude was as if she had pulled the short straw and she had the inconvenience of having to wait on a couple of people who only came to Fleming’s for the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. Although I ended up not ordering from the HRW menu but instead the filet and lobster special that I had to ask about(I heard about it from the Fleming’s snail mail). I don’t want to rant too long, so I’ll leave this here. — Most of the people who came to check on us and asked if everything was okay was NOT our waitress. — Just like any other Fleming’s location, the manager also came by to check on us. — Our waitress did not ask me if I wanted to order the chocolate lava cake(I did) because normally I’d be asked this question halfway through my meal due to the long prep time. My whole experience was UNDERWHELMING. Honestly, if this is the kind of service that Fleming’s has to offer, I would rather go eat at Longhorn or just do steak night at some bar. I would give my experience a two-star rating. However, since I’ve been here plenty of times and most times the service and food were excellent so I’ll assume that this was an isolated incident and I’ll bump my rating up. I’m hoping this doesn’t happen again in the future. It shouldn’t matter whether or not I order from a special menu such as the HRW menu. I’m still a paying customer.

Never been for the regular menu, BUT… their happy hour burger is so simple that it’s crave-able. Get a decently cooked burger with no fancy shmancy stuff on it, just cheese and bacon. Lettuce and red onions too. Comes with a side of fries and all under 10 bucks. Can’t beat that deal. Pair it with a happy hour beer and you’re still sitting pretty at less than $ 15.

My birthday falls during HRW and my sister always takes us to the most fabulous restaurants. This year it was Fleming’s and it did not disappoint. My first course was the soup du jour which melted in my mouth. I should have written which one it was. But, can tell you it was a yummy bisque that had crab meat and a spicy black bean topping. Next was the koba rubbed filet mignon. Yeah, that melted in my mouth too. We got the chipotle mac and cheese along with the creamed spinach for the table. Those were such big hits, we ordered more mac and cheese. Others at the table ordered the Scottish salmon filet and the pork rib chop. Everyone loved their dinner. Staci Stephenson made my birthday extra special by bringing my cheesecake out with a single lit candle. She also heard that my aunt had celebrated her birthday several days before mine and brought her dessert with a candle too. I cannot say enough about Staci. She made the entire dinning experience wonderful. She checked on us several times, recommended wonderful cocktails and just made the evening great. Did I mention the box of truffles, birthday card and $ 25 gift card I received as a gift from the restaurant?

This is hands down my favorite steak house. I love the atmosphere and service is always so wonderful. I usually order the filet medium rare and it melts in your mouth like butter. I make reservations here for Mother’s and Father’s day, every birthdays, and even date nights with my 13 yr old son. Great now my mouth is watering now just thinking about it!!! The wedge salad has lots of blue cheese, strips of bacon and a creamy decadent blue cheese dressing. It can almost fill you up. All the sides are cooked to perfection and if you don’t like it they will happily replace with a new dish. I love the lemon drop martini. It is so smooth I forget I am drinking vodka. Usually the happy hour special is the blueberry lemon drop. Greatest Happy Hour specials in town. A prime bacon cheeseburger is so amazing and served with double cut fries is only $ 7. Fleming’s locations have great specials and a great place for a special evening. Book your dinner now!

Fleming’s is a classy establishment but I just don’t think you get enough bang for your buck when there are so many good steakhouses in Houston. First off, it’s very loud and difficult to have a conversation without yelling. They had a special 3-course meal going on for $ 44 which was a great deal. You start off with either a wedge salad or French onion soup. I went with the soup and it was delicious but was served to me scalding hot. I burned my mouth and blame the waiter/kitchen for bringing it out too quickly. Second course was one scallop with grits which was also tasty. You then finish things off with an eight ounce filet mignon and 8 ounce lobster tail. The lobster was great and was served with a warm butter sauce like it should be. The steak was good but a little fatty(we’re talking filet mignon here so it shouldn’t be) and just wasn’t as tasty as a steak you can get at Killen’s or other establishments. Not a bad restaurant by any means but if I’m going to throw down this amount of money I expect less mistakes and better quality. With that being said, our waiter was terrific. Personable and funny, he did everything right minus bringing the soup out too early which was probably the kitchen’s fault anyway.

Visited Fleming’s last night for their 3-course Prime Rib Dinner special for $ 35/person. Parking seemed to be a little scarce where this location is. The seater and waiter were both very friendly and accommodating. The first course was a salad, you could choose from any on the menu. I ordered the house salad and it came with walnut and cranberries with a vinaigrette dressing. Second course was prime rib. The prime ribs came out just as we ordered them along with 3 sauces. My favorite will always be au jus, I just love original flavor. For sides, we ordered creamed spinach & garlic mashed potatoes. The creamed spinach was delicious! The mashed potatoes were good but didn’t stand out too much. Third course was dessert. The chocolate lava cake comes included with the dinner. However, the waiter told us since there were 2 of us, one could select another dessert for more variety. We chose the cheesecake with blueberries. All in all, my boyfriend and I had a great dinner. It was my second time dining at a Fleming’s and it’s definitely somewhere we’d visit again.

My boyfriend and I always have a good experience when we dine here. We frequently celebrate special occasions here because we always enjoy the foods and great service. Everyone always takes the time to congratulate us on whatever the occasion is and make us feel welcome. We both love prime ribeyes, especially the way that they prepare it at Fleming’s. Always seasoned and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend particularly loves their dry aged prime ribeyes. In addition, wine pairing suggestions by the servers are always complementary with our steaks. Service is never short of amazing at each visit. Everyone is very attentive and pleasant. I highly recommend!
