I’m sorry but since they’ve posted a 30.06 sign, which prevents the carrying of conceded pistols, I do not feel safe in this establishment and will no longer do business there. I do wish them good luck in the future.

First time to this location. Food was great and had good service. Multiple staff would stop and refill my tea or chips, worked as a team. I would recommend it!

Truly a delightful experience. The food is fresh. Not your typical Tex-Mex fare. The Pechuga del Mar very good. Highly recommend.

My first experience was a hit. In the door 3 minutes an already been addressed by 2 different servers. The frozen margaritas were great, strong, but great for $ 4.50. The chips n salsa are awesome. The food was good however I don’t recommend the charro beans or the shrimp tacos(both were unseasoned). I also had a fajita chicken enchalada with green salsa, it was good and a fajita chicken taco which was ok. Overall, I’d go back again.

I don’t really like this place. Gave it two stars because the salsa i pretty good. I would describe it as fresh and chunky. Other than that… meh.

The complimentary vegetable soup when you first sit down is delicious. The beef fajitas were really good — especially the sautéed onions on the fajita platter. Very inexpensive and delicious. Good Tex Mex with 3 large flat screens for watching the game.

This place has good fajita. That’s the only thing I normally get. It’s a hole in the wall place and price is reasonable. I normally get the half/lunch portion. But one day I was craving for tres leche and the cake was not good at all. Very dry for tres leche. Even Kroger had better tres leche !

This is one of the two Fajita Flats locations in the Houston area and both serve up some comforting Tex-Mex style food. This particular Fajita Flats is a little smaller than the other location and parking may not be as wide open but it’s still worth a stop. The times I have been here are mostly at lunch time. The prices for lunch specials are reasonable and plentiful. For starters, they serve a vegetable soup that is pretty good. I like the chunks of avocado, especially. I also like to break up some tortillas and add to the soup. It’s not necessary to do but it gives it a little something extra that I like. If you’re wanting an appetizer, you can’t go wrong with the queso. Add some beef to the queso, grilled fajita or taco beef, and you have something worthy of the calories. I usually order the enchiladas, mainly cheese or fajita beef. I’ve also tried the fajitas here in both chicken and beef. The meats of all have been tender, moist and flavorful. They are generous with the grilled onions, a plus, and I love the grilled green bell peppers. I would like to see the quantity of grilled green bell peppers increased and maybe add some grilled red bell pepper. That’s just my opinion because I love bell peppers. The service is friendly and many are long time employees, just as it is at the other location. Sometimes it can be a little loud, especially on weekend nights but that’s just the kind of atmosphere it is. If you like a bar and happy hour, they have that as well as TV’s for sports and other viewing. Overall it’s a lively place to come enjoy a good meal.

Good food, good prices, friendly atmosphere, and great service. What more could you ask for. Try their free vegetable soup. It is really good. In addition you get endless chips and delicious salsa. For you sports fans they have several large flat screen hi def tv’s, which they will change to suit you.

Think of Fajita Flats as a honky tonk serving TexMex. We expected a bit of a wait as we came on a Friday evening. But we didn’t expect to be ignored at the door. No greeter. No wait list. Our start was disappointing. But, we came to eat(and drink). The margaritas were fine, but the draft beer was flat. We ordered their«special» fajitas. Mixed beef & chicken and shrimp. Portions at Fajita Flats are substantial, so they provide great value. That said, the fajitas come with your choice of beans(refried, black, boracho or charro). They are served with grilled onion,(but no grilled peppers), guacamole(pretty much all avocado), pico and rice. The beef lacked flavor and the chicken was dry. The flour tortillas didn’t strike me as fresh. We might have enjoyed our meal more if we could hear ourselves think. The jukebox was blaring all evening-hardly conducive to conversation over dinner. The only thing louder than the jukebox was the insufferable happy birthday song which is recorded. It’s one thing to have some birthday song fun — it’s another to blow out eardrums. Bottom line? Fajita Flats left us flat.

This place was load, seedy, and not all that… We were a table of 3 and had one entrée each and a pitcher of Margaritas… the bill was $ 120.00… The Margaritas were very tart and it was pretty much a beer pitcher full of Margarita mix… Little to no tequila at all… No ma’am…Vamanos and never come back…

Food was decent ! Service is wonderful. You don’t have your own service but instead about 6 servers go around the restaurant and make sure every client is pleased and well take care of. Definitely coming back and recommend it if you’re in the area

Good food & service but slow getting it to the table. It took almost 30 min to get our food and it wasn’t no special order either

Extremely unimpressed. Their food has gone from ok to crap. Seriously, go to chachos or taco c. Their margaritas suck and taste like a limeade not an actual margarita. I ordered a flauta and a beef fajita… the flauta had not 1 but 2 toothpicks in it and the beef fajita meat was overly fatty and tasted like they warmed it up in the microwave. I wasn’t planning on saying anything about how disgusting my food was but my boyfriend mentioned to our waiter that he knows the owner(which he does) and they he would be disappointed in our food quality. Guess what we got for our crappy food!!! 2DISGUSTING, HOT tequila shots. Gross. Seriously? It had to be the crappiest tequila I’ve ever had. I will not go back!

Been here many times but tonight suxed. Waited to be seated. As a matter of fact a customer greeted us. Typically they bring you soup, we had to ask several times. Not a full house. I guess service is not priority. Oh the food needs a little more seasoning.

After dining here at least 4 times since my first time last summer, I have decided this is my fave mexican restaurant in town. First of all the complimentary vegetable soup is one of the main reasons I love this place. What other mexican restaurant does that? And on top of that the soup is very good. Then the chips and salsa are first rate and among my favorites. My favorite dish are the fajitas. They come with great tasting sweet onions with the meat and 5 flour tortillas(they don’t skimp on the number like others do). Finally, everytime I have eaten here the service was excellent. The atmosphere of this restaurant is of a festive one. I will admit that on a Friday or Saturday night it can be a little noisy with the juke box going and there seeming to be a party at almost every table. That includes their funny birthday party/tradition where the celebrant rides a stick pony around the restaurant wearing a sombrero while the Happy Birthday song is playing. This is a restaurant where you come to have a great meal and a great time while doing it. I highly recommend!

Came for a work lunch on a Friday with co-workers, and it was pretty empty when we walked in. Some highlights below. Pluses: I liked the seemingly unlimited chips and salsa they brought out to the table. The vegetable soup they brought out at the beginning was decent as well. Price was cheap and the service wasn’t lacking. Minuses: Décor and overall look of the restaurant felt date and dingy. Summary: I chose the fajita(chicken) for lunch and while it was good, there really wasn’t anything that stood out and impressed me. I was also annoyed that you couldn’t get cheese or sour cream with the fajita, you have to pick only 2 toppings to accompany the fajita. Overall, it is a cheap and decent place for lunch. Haven’t yet tried the margaritas or anything. Maybe that will change my mind a bit?

I love this place. For happy hour, it is so much fun. The waiters are amazing, always refilling our chips and salsas and making sure we always have a margarita in front of us. The price of margaritas during happy hour is good too. The queso dip is one of my favorite. Totally addicting! The food is fresh, authentic, and cheap! You can’t go wrong. And did I say the waiters are great? Friendly and funny! Btw, don’t expect fancy. This is a small, family friendly joint that is not pretentious at all. Very casual. More reason to love it!

There are a few elements that make this place a reason to come: Great margaritas, good service, and if you go in the evenings it turns into a party! We frequent this place and enjoy ourselves here. They have recently rennovated and now it is a place to come to watch sports. There are flat screens for any seat in the house. They usually have specials during such events and if you get on their email list, they will send you coupons as well. Fairly priced Tex Mex food and a great atmosphere. I always order the fajitas with melted garlic butter! Great Dish. The complimentary vegetable soup has avocados in it and is tasty. My favorite part is the margaritas, they are good and not too tart. The main reason to come if you are in the mood to drink. They have a juke box that plays good alternative, rock, and country and is always setting the mood. This is also family friendly place, so kids are welcome and the staff are good with them. The owner is usually there with his family, which adds to it’s homely warm atmosphere. The style of service is unique because you usually don’t have one singular server. All of them serve you! Even the owner will stop by and check if you need anything. The service is superb! The chicken flautas, pork chops, and queso are other good items on the menu. They recently updated their menu along with the rennovation and now serve breakfast items. I haven’t tried them, but I am curious. A good hole in the wall, and a must dining experience.
