Man, I have had some good Chinese food, but this triumphs them all. The pork eggrolls are OMG… GOOD I had the General Tso Chicken and house special fried rice… All was great and on top of that. the service is impeccable… quick, good and great friendly customer service… I usually wait until after the second visit to leave a review to see if they are consistent each time. but I can say, this will be my go to place.

I’m down to eating at only 2 Chinese restaurants in Houston I trust and truly enjoy. One of which is Emperor Café(delivery only so far). We’ve been ordering delivery from this little place now for about a year and I have to say it is pretty good. The quality of the meats are well above average for Houston Chinese restaurants in my opinion. Sauces are delicious too. Food is fresh and it’s delivered! So it would make sense that it must be even better brought to your table at their place. I’ll have to test that theory soon and repost. I’ve had the Chicken, Shrimp and Beef dinners and they’re all tasty. Awesome pork egg rolls and cheese puffs as appetizers. Oh yeah, they also have a really great website and phone app for ordering too, makes it very painless. I gave 4 out of 5 stars just because it’s not life changing, but a definite contender for what it is in this city. Go check it out.

We just had some food delivered. Too expensvie for the amount of food you get. We ordered seafood delight, the menu said lobster… it was actually fake lobster made from some kind of fish, There was far more veggies than meat in both of our dishes. The veggies in the seafood delight were hard and pretty much not cooked. Fried rice was the worst I ever had no flavor.(1.00 extra Too) Also ordered Mongolian beef that had a ton of veggies. I order this at lunch at another restaurant and it has plenty of meat and just a little green and white onions in it. And delivery one and half hour. We are new to the area and will NOT be ordering from here again!

The food was hot and fresh. I had the General Joe lunch combo. It came with rice soup and a egg roll for $ 6.95. I would definitely try them again for lunch sometimes. Today I really wanted Chinese so I Unilocaled! I found this place and they even offered online ordering through Unilocal and Eat24. I placed my order through Unilocal and picked up in 15 min paid cash upon arrival. It was easy and convenient. I was on lunch and didn’t have much time to waste.

Their dinner combo is great value. 8 bucks for main course, fried rice, soup and egg roll. The portion size is big enough for 2 people to share, or to save half for lunch the next day. Everything tasted great too.

I have always liked this little spot nestled in a small plaza along with other intriguing businesses. I have always ordered to go and have never been disappointed. Their food is always great and fresh. The restaurant itself has a flare of art that you can enjoy while munching on your favorite dish. Very clean, organized and with great service. This spot always seems to be the place where I come on a rainy day for the convenience. If I lived closer or worked closer I would definitely be a regular. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. :)

Glad I found this place. 15 minutes from order to delivery was amazing, but I do live very close by. Food portions are large. Very delicious Chinese food! General Tsos is very tasty — better than I usually have on Bellaire! I am sure I will be a regular.

I’m not quite as enamored as the other reviewers. We, too, ordered delivery. Our meal got off to a great start arriving promptly and seemingly quite hot. The hot and sour soup was as good as I’ve ever had. Full, rich flavor in the broth. Spicy without being overly hot. Two egg roll were included. Not too greasy, a flaky dough and good flavor. The cheese Rangoon was the best I’ve ever eaten. More of a filo dough than typical fried skin, and filled with a serious load of cheese. Just excellent. The meal broke down on the main courses. My wife could not recall her order. A beef and broccoli dish was bland. The broccoli was overdone and the meat was greasy to the point of almost being mushy. The mixed plate of chicken, shrimp and beef was similarly uninspiring. The chicken had a peculiar odor, the beef again a bit slimey as well as the relatively small shrimp. I had hoped for better. 3 stars and another chance.

Every Sunday they jam a menu in my door, so I finally decided to try them. I’m so glad that i did! I ordered the hot and sour soup, pork egg rolls and the beef with garlic sauce. Everything arrived piping hot and fresh. The best part? The steamed rice WASNOT scorched. I would have liked more garlic in my sauce but it had a very good flavor. All in all a good value for the money.

YummY!!! Delivery(pre-ordered through Eat 24 at 10:39, it was delivered by 11:27(they opened at 11am) so yay! Super hot and well packaged) Ordered: Pan fried Pork Dumplings, General Tso’s Chicken medium spicy with Wonton Soup, Cheese Puff, Spring Roll. Pan fried Pork Dumplings: Dipping Sauce was good, dumplings not horrible but will not order again. I don’t really see these as pan fried. No crisp, no crunch, no hard shell outside… seemed very doughy and WAY too much dough for small amount of meat. Good flavor in meat. General Tso’s Chicken: YUM!!! I was very impressed with the flavor, not the spice. I have been craving some good General Tso’s. Tried a place yesterday and it was a flop… I work next the Chinatown, come on really no good General Tso’s?! Well now I have one. Great sauce with some crunchyness and not overcooked. Wonton Soup: Good Flavor not too strong, kinda light. I like it and do not typically finish the wonton soup and I drank every bit of juice. Spring Roll: Super yummy and fresh, did not seem to be frozen fried at all. Cheese Puff’: Crunchy, Yummy, Sweet, Full! OHMYGOSH! So yummy. Will definitely be ordering again. Portion size had me SOOOOO full, and very well priced.

I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and it did not come with vegetables. Just chicken and peanuts only. When he brought it to the table I asked about the vegetables since that was what I wanted and what most chinese restaurants have in their Kung Pao Chicken. The man told me that’s just how they make it. He did not offer to fix the dish. Very poor service. Next time I’ll just send back the dish and leave the restaurant.

This is a little gem hidden in a strip center along Westheimer Road. Do you long for unpretentious Chinese food. Just simple Chicken and Broccoli or Garlic Beef, this is the place. And lunch is the traditional egg roll, soup and entrée. Don’t miss the egg drop soup, the best I have had in years. My egg roll was fresh out of the fire, light and crispy, full of fresh cabbage. Next time, skip the Panda Express and drive down to Westheimer near Dairy Ashford, you will not regret it.

I love their chicken wings, dumplings, crab puffs, chicken lo mein, and sweet and sour pork! They have amazing food, and know they have been in business for over 20 years in Houston. They were originally located on Memorial Dr. for many years and branched out.
