El Norteño

It was just another taco run I thought,. .. but check it. I get to my regularly scheduled taco truck and it’s not there! Kudos to them for having an event, but way to crush my dreams for that day. Kinda not cool, but yeah. .. I’m glad their hype has grown.
Languidly, I cruised down the street looking for a replacement truck and that’s when i remembered the chicken bus. El Norteño’s blue buses have long mocked me with their great smell and awesome meal on wheel aesthetic. A blue chicken bus is just plain brilliant and it’s really a marvel I haven’t stopped here sooner.
So yeah.. . they have other stuff on the menu, but a chicken is really what I was craving at this point and have in fact been back for since – a lot! Half a chicken for six dollars or whole for eleven. That’s a steal in my book.
So, yes grab your chicken in a bag and go home. Tortillas are plentiful with the order, onions, charro beans and jalapeño also roasted. Biting into this chicken makes me remember what real chicken tastes like. It’s just really a beautiful experience and it’s really easy to eat a whole chicken if not careful. I was careful my first few timesl, but I make no promises next time.
