I had a great experience. Dropped off my dress at 7:30am and it was ready by 5pm(even though I wasn’t supposed to swing by until 6pm). Staff was courteous and helpful. Cost $ 8.65 for that one dress, which seemed a bit pricy, but I haven’t compared much else here in the inner loop.

Another outpost of the Eco-Cleaners franchise. It’s located near Westheimer and Edloe, in the same shopping center as River Oaks Coffee Shop, and has a drive-thru on one side of the building. As I’d been pretty happy with the Eco-Cleaners service on Shepherd but don’t really care to be run over on the No Turn Traffic Zone of Death at Westheimer and Shepherd, I was looking forward to trying this location out. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a lot of luck. On top of the fact that the desk clerk was snickering at me when I pulled my wrinkled, be-cat-haired clothing out of a trash bag(seriously, YOU think of something better), skirts and pants are $ 5 apiece, and blouses are around the same. Dresses are even more expensive. This is not good. Anyone who knows me understands I have a LOT of dresses. I like feeling good about helping the environment, but truth be told, I like saving money even better. I’m on the hunt for more affordable cleaning establishments because I can’t afford to drop $ 50 every time I need to launder my work trousers, skirts and dresses. And not being laughed at is a plus!
