Not good. My friend and I met here for lunch today, and we both ordered the signature Mesquite Grilled Burger Basket, which includes a burger and«spicy» fries. Imagine the lowest quality meat you could call«burger,» and then store it in a freezer for over 18 months. Take it out, cook it wrong and serve it up. Horrible. I could not finish it. It is likely that I should have ordered the Jumbo size(½ lb), as that was what the cashier was trying to push on me. After receiving the burger I ordered – the cheese was cold and laid on top as an afterthought – I went to the«salad bar» to add toppings. These were fresh and generous in size, although the rings of onion were not very flavorful, possibly having sat out for some time. There were other institutional-size pump toppings such as mayo, mustard, ketchup and«barbecue,» which this latter was watered-down and extremely sweet version of something that was once«Kansas-style» sauce. Awful. The seasoned fries were not that spicy or flavorful, although they were cooked nicely, with a satisfying crunch, but not too much. Since they were kind of bland, I didn’t finish the large quantity I received as part of the basket order. To speak to the rest of the menu, there are buffalo burgers, turkey burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches. Off to the side is a little rotisserie, with accompanying hutch, where you can pick up rotisserie-style chicken. This seemed oddly placed, as there were no sides available to go with the chicken. I didn’t investigate this too closely, so it is possible there was some other food gimmick going on. Don’t go here to eat until they have a new owner. There were only a smattering of people occasioning in for lunch, despite the location in one of the busiest sectors of the Houston workplace. Food quality of what I ate would probably be unacceptable in today’s high school lunchroom. The people who work there seemed nice enough, and the restaurant was generally very clean, with the restrooms needing an update.

I tried one of their burger specials and to me the burger was bland, tasted like a frozen patty. Not much flavor. I was glad that I was able to dress it up at the condiment bar.

Counter service and delivery. Self-service and unlimited drinks. Dress your own hamburger at produce and condiment bar. Great tasting seasoned fries, distinctive mesquite-flavored hamburgers and buffalo burgers. Downside: restroom condition is below average.

I give them an extra star for trying. I used to eat here frequently for lunch as it is closed to my work. Recently, I returned and was totally surprised at the quality of the salad bar. The vegetables are fresher, the salad bar kept clean, and the soups are no longer salty. Their rotisserie chicken are really good too. I look forward to having healthy lunches here again.

You can have the salad bar, rotisserie chicken bar or made to order from the grill items. Get fat or eat healthy! Finding something for any dietary restriction or craving is easy here. Top it all off with the delicious blueberry bread!

Simple. Affordable. Delicious. I did get the offer for 8.95 that came with a half pounder burger, seasoned fries and a drink + cheese. After the Easter holiday I am going through a beef and meat consumption phase and today was a juicy burger. The location is a little questionable because #1 it is in Greenspoint, #2 right next to a 2-time out-of-business strip club #3 the place looks completely outdated. Once I saw their hours of operation it did make sense that this place like most reatuarants are just strictly opened to add more variety to corporate workers in the area since they are opened 10:30−2pm Monday– Friday.(Sorry Foodies) The burger looked very simple, nothing fancy on it but bun, beef patty, and cheese however their fresh condiment bar with a variety of add-on’s that include jalapenos, lettuce, pickles and even pico de gallo just to name a few to add that extra«pizzazz» onto your burger and/or BBQ meal. Once I added my veggies on my burger it was time to eat! Took the first bite and all I could taste is that delicious truly«Mesquite» charbroiled taste and that’s when I understood the simplicity of their burger. I was never asked how I wanted my meat and coincidentally it was Medium which was simply perfect! it is very unfortunate that I will never be able to bring friends and family to try it out since it is out of the ways but again due to the surrounding area that it is located I guess I can understand why they operate to please your 9−5ers.

This place is not far from my job so I come here for lunch every now and then. I almost always get the burger which is not the best but it’s big and a little above average. They have a petty good size selection of mostly fried food to choose from. The menu is in the front and you have to order from the cashier and pay her. They will give you a member and call it once your food is ready. Pros: Food generally comes out pretty fast, within 5 to 10 minutes. Lots of seating. You won’t have any trouble finding a place to sit Friendly staff. Cons: Not the cleanest looking place. Lunch will run you $ 10-$ 13 Overall not a bad place for lunch.

Fresh, delicious and affordable. What more could you ask for in Greenspoint?

It’s an ok place. The burgers were average and so was the chicken sandwich. Nothing great, but nothing bad. Probably won’t frequent very often considering the amount of restaurants available off of nearby I-45

Good place for burgers! The beef patties actually have a distinct and smokey mesquite flavor to them which is awesome(hence the restaurant name!). I ordered the beef burger with Swiss cheese and regular fries for a total of $ 8.05. Condiments are available at the condiment bar which includes all your basic sub assemblies such as tomatoes, lettuce, pico de gallo, raw onions, jalapenos, pickles, mustard, ketchup, and mayo. Some of the lettuce and salsa didn’t look super fresh, but they were still good to eat. My only gripe about the burger was that the button bun was cut thin and allowed some of the natural juices from the burger or condiments to soak through, but no big deal. Overall, it was a good burger and a nice change from the usual Fuddruckers. Wait time wasn’t long as one other review mentioned. The food was ready in approximately ten minutes after ordering for our party of three and came out hot. There isn’t much to say about the interior. Not a place to admire but they have clean tables and chairs which is all I need. This place is only open during lunch time Monday — Friday. Don’t try to come here for dinner or the weekends.

Good food and good prices. Great soup & salad bar, turkey burgers & rotisserie chicken(& sweet tea). This place can be confusing if its your first visit. One side is soup/salad, the other side is burgers and more. While the rotisserie chicken station is in the middle. The room is divided and there are two different pay stations to make it more convenient. The staff is very friendly. Definitely a greenspoint go to lunch spot.

We went here based on the high rating and good reviews. I cannot, for the life of me, understand how the rating is so high. The place is run-down and somewhat dirty. It took a ridiculously long time to get our food, despite the fact that there was no one in line in front of us.(A long line formed right after us, but that shouldn’t affect how long it took to get our order.) The food is bland and tasteless. Couldn’t find a single speck of seasoning on their«seasoned» French fries. They were easily the most tasteless fries I’ve ever had in my life. My husband got a mesquite buffalo burger. It looked and tasted disappointing. I had the red beans & rice — my first bite was salty, but somehow still bland. After that initial bite, it was all bland and flavorless. It was also too rice-heavy for good red beans & rice. The sausage on the plate was salty and added the only semi-flavor to the entire dish. But, I guess you need to be in Louisiana/New Orleans for good red beans & rice. I’d give only one star, based on the taste, but I’m adding an additional star because the service was friendly and it was clear that they used real ingredients(I found part of a bay leaf in my red beans). They just don’t seem to understand how to develop flavoring or how to use any seasoning other than salt.

This place is great. I think the girls in my office and I eat here about once a month. Sometimes we eat in and others we just hit the salad bar. I’ve had the burger, the rotisserie cart and the salad bar. Yum, YUM and Yum. The prices are decent, I highly recommend this place for lunch during the week.

Great place for lunch — it’s not a real fancy place but they got good food and big portions. It’s split into two halves, the Mesquite Grill with the burgers & fried food & stuff, and the salad bar & soups. But, in between the two halves there’s this little cart that serves rotisserie chicken along with some sides(mashed potatoes, green beans, rice, etc). While the other stuff is pretty good, what keeps me coming back is this chicken plate.

One of my fav lunch spots, because of the mesquite flavored burgers and fish, and the variety of food, such as CFSteak and gyros. There is even a large adjoining salad bar place. Oh,… did I mention they have tator tots? And, there is a condiment bar with good pico de gallo. There is no table service, so you save $ on tips. There are daily specials on the whiteboard, such as red beans and rice. I like the mesquite-grilled catfish, and … well, everything I’ve had here has been very good.
