Eats is a greasy burger joint with plenty of different lunch options available and a nice toppings bar. A step up from fast food. I noticed past reviews mentioned the smell. The first thing I noticed when walking in was the mesquite logs placed outside the restaurant and the smell of mesquite smoke inside. Smelled good to me! One of the specials was a turkey burger, so I thought I would give it a try. The special came with fries and a drink. I substituted sweet potato fries for an additional dollar. Fountain drinks are self-serve. I was given a number on the receipt, and only had to wait about 10 minutes before my number was called on the speaker. The turkey patty was ok… it was the same type of rubbery texture I have had with Costco turkey patties. Could be better. The sweet potato fries were tasty. Great substitution. I like the toppings bar on the side on the salad bar. I was able to get some tomato slices, lettuce, jalapeños, and barbecue sauce. Another thing I like about Eats is that they toast the sandwich buns. Eats is completely self-service. Overall, I would rank Eats a little above 3 stars, but it’s not quite there for a 4 star rating.

Classic burgers. Mesquite grilled. Highly recommend if you want a juicy, well cooked hamburger on an old fashioned but tasty bun. You can load up on as many free extras as you want. I logged on to Unilocal expecting to see tons of great reviews and expecting there’d be no point in writing a review. I can’t believe there’s so much bad press on here. It’s an older restaurant with a classic small town feel to it. But, the facility was still about a hundred times better than the downtown hubcap grill location which people rave about despite getting well documented rude service and a weird burger selection(peanut butter burger? No thanks, I’ll pass). Here, service was friendly and the burgers were classic and well done. It was $ 8.50 after tax for a HALFPOUND burger with fries, unlimited drink and unlimited pickles, tomatoes and onions. I’ll take that any day I’m looking for a quick lunch hamburger. Oh yeah, and the burgers come out super quick to give you plenty of time to enjoy it over your lunch break.

I have been here many times. The burger basket combo is a good choice. If the cook does not over cook the patty, it’s on. Sometimes the meat is a little dry, but most of the time it’s good. Not a bad place to grab a quick burger when in a hurry.

I’m reviewing for my dad as I don’t eat burgers. But his review is not so great. He says the burgers are decent, he had an ok rib eye sandwich and fries. The onion rings are greasy but the condiments bar is a plus. However he was most appalled by the men’s room so I will post the photo!

Had the 1⁄3 pound Buffalo burger today. Not very good. A bit greasy for what is supposed to be buffalo. The fries were very dark, which I suspect is from being cooked in very old oil. You can do much better downtown.

Good sandwiches. The burgers are grossly greasy, but they’re big and taste ok. I like that they have a little set-up to help yourself to condiments and stuff(like jalapeños!) that can be added to your food. I haven’t seen any roaches or anything while dining in, so maybe that problem was eradicated last year. One final comment; the inside is very ‘funky’ like, not what you would expect. I didn’t anyway, haha. A few pieces of art are displayed and very cool looking lamps are suspended from the ceiling.

Have a lifeless grey frozen patty, and enjoy the parade of roaches as you eat. So disgusting it’s actually funny.

Went with two co-workers today. We each ordered a burger, but when we got back to the office only two of us actually had burgers. The third person got a fully dressed bun but no meat. How does that happen? How can you assemble a burger and forget the ½ pound patty? Wouldn’t you notice the difference in the weight of the bag? The two of us that actually got meat on our burgers were underwhelmed. Patty was tasteless and dry. They give you the option of grilled onions which is nice, but then they also put on regular onions. I don’t need both! They sell a lot more than burgers so maybe something else would be better.
