Always honest and reliable. My family has been using Demo’s for over 40 years, and when I moved away I was never able to find quality, trustworthy repair shops like this one. The guys here have found and fixed things that other shops missed, and always give me information about what repairs might need without pressure to upsell. When I say I need a «75 000 mile checkup or whatever» they actually check everything. I pay what I expect to pay without regret.
I don’t have much experience with the body shop side so I can’t comment on that.

Customer service is ok. They cannot get the color of my paint right. No matter how they try. I had them do it twice which took 2 weeks and a ton of stress with the insurance company and the car rental company. It’s not fun. Anyway my car is still not the right color but I don’t have time for this. They can’t make my car look the way it did prior to the wreck. Worthless.

I will leave my previous comments and review below to make sure that you know I’m not just being picky — I really wanted to like these guys: /​— I picked my car up late in the evening and after getting a chance to look at it in the light I discovered they did a HORRIBLE job painting the hood and used what looks to be a faded, scratched, and heavily weathered junkyard reclaimed grill — this is a 2010 Nissan that’s paid for and I regret taking it there — a note to all the Mercedes and BMW owners in West U… I wouldn’t take a nice car there — looks like Southwest Houston chop shop work… I will complain to Geico and the BBB.
When I called to complain they put me on the phone with «Demo Jr.» And when I asked «Who am I speaking with?» He responded «Well who did you call?» And I replied «I called Demos and I’m really unhappy with my car» and he rudely replied «This is Demos»
I heard about Demos from a friend who I dropped there when they were having a car repaired so when I got in a wreck in West U I figured what the hell… Have it towed there. Glad I did! They worked with the adjuster and got the car fixed quickly and I was happy with the work.
I have one positive and one negative about this experience:
On a very POSITIVE note!!! I believe these people are honest. I had lost a Rolex a few months back and had no clue where it was. When they repaired my car they also detailed it before I picked it up. When unpicked up my car and got it to drive away there was my watch, in the console that I had emptied before I had the car towed. Whoever detailed the car found my Rolex in between the seats or in the floor somewhere and put it there! When picking a place to have work done honesty is a big deal — these people obviously have honest employees and I bet they got that way by running an honest business!
The negative — «Julio» is like trying to communicate with a door stop. I called him a number of times to discuss the status of my car and he was basically useless — told me a number of times that he would call me back and never did. I was even asking him to quote other damage not related to the accident (some stuff I did all by myself in a parking garage) and he never bothered to call me back and when I called the THIRD time about it he acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about. A tip for Mr. Demos, train that guy in some customer service because I would have had the damage fixed while it was there if he had followed up: /

I used Demo’s body shop for the first time this year, after having used Demo’s repair and service center for the past ten years. Demo’s body shop is just as honest, straight forward and decent as the repair shop. Demo Jr. connected directly with the insurance adjuster and did the work for the exact amount estimated by the appraiser. When Demo Jr. found addition work that needed to be done, he called the appraiser directly, coordinated with the appraiser, and then gave me notice that he had found more work that needed to be done, had the work approved by the appraiser, and was going to proceed to do the work on my okay. The entire experience was hassle and surprise free.

Today we had a last-​minute emergency on the way to take my daughter for her first driver’s test. Leaving home, we discovered the back left taillight was out! Knowing it wouldn’t pass the pre-​test inspection, we called Demos to see if they could do a really-​quick turnaround. We also know that TX DPS will cancel your test appointment if you’re not there an hour ahead! When we got to Demo’s, we explained the situation, they took the car right back, and had it back to us in about 10 minutes. We made it to TX DPS with minutes to spare. And she passed! Thanks to Demo’s for going the extra mile today.

I have been taking my car to Demos since 2002. They do great work, have honest prices, and I never have to bring it back for re-​work. I just picked up my car today and I am very happy with how it looks. Highly recommended! Thank you Demos.

Finally an honest service provider. These guys do a great job — for a reasonable price. Try them — you will be happy.

Never Again.
I had work done here about 6 times. You’d think that they’d value a return customer. My last time, I told them 4 things that needed fixing, and they kept my car forever (4 – 5 days) and only fixed two of them. Later I noticed they «fixed» the missing collar on my front door handle (it joins the handle area to the upholstery) … by taking the same part from my back door and putting it on the front door. (!!!) How unbelievably ghetto is that? I mean, really… did you think that such a contemptible attitude would result in a positive online review? It doesn’t take more than one incident like that to insure I will NEVER walk through Demo’s door again.
If this still doesn’t convince you to avoid this place, be sure to write your problems down and hand them a list, because most of the assistants write nothing down; and they’re certainly not any good at remembering them.

It’s hard to find a mechanic that is honest, does good work, and gives it to you straight if you’re on a budget and need to limit work to only the mandatory items. Demo’s fits the description and I would recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.
On a recent visit to Demo’s for A/​C work I drove away with it working fine (after surviving a year in Houston without it!). The next day the system seemed to have lost about half of its cooling power and I took it back. My ’91 truck is getting a bit old now, and it turned out to be a seal gone bad in a part of the system that had tested okay when they fixed it and it also wasn’t a part of the system that had been worked on. They fixed it for no charge while I waited and I was back on my way.
Not the least expensive mechanic I’ve ever used, but they don’t gouge me and I’ve had bad luck with cheap places in the past. I can also fix most problems myself, and Demo’s doesn’t have any problem with me bringing them in on the stuff for which I don’t have time, tools or skills, and then finishing off the rest myself. Some shops get attitude in that situation.
