I spilled a large cup of steaming hot coffee on my macbook pro. I first went in to get the data backed up because Apple would have cost a pretty penny to do it there. After $ 300 Data Recovery finished backing up my laptop. The guy gave me a rough estimate on how much my laptop would have cost to get it fixed there but I was curious how how much Apple would have cost if I got it fixed with them instead. I returned it to Apple and when I got my quote back I it basically would have cost me the SAME amount as buying a brand new laptop. Forget that!
