I’ve frequented this location multiple times and my experience has always been pleasant. Last Friday my friend and I came for dinner. We both ordered the beef enchiladas, as we have in the past. When the food arrived it was terrible! The tortillas were very stale and tough as if they had been sitting out. The rice and beans were cold and the meat was not seasoned well.

I only come here for the margaritas. They are amazing! The food is not bad either, but what won’t allow this restaurant to be more than 3 stars is their customer service. The staff is not rude, just slow. Very slow.

This was my first time going to Cyclone Anaya’s for brunch. Not sure why I have not tried this place for brunch before but the 40 minute wait time to be seated did not upset me at all! The food was what you would expect. The drinks kept coming after the first hiccup of them looking lost as to why my mimosa wasn’t brought out when I had an empty glass. I had the migas and I have never liked them before but at least over here I was able to eat about 2⁄5 of my plate. The service was great once the drinks started coming. One of us had asked them if they carried green tomatillo salsa and the waiter said yes, and was told us that he was going to bring it to us as soon as he gets a chance. Well, we were there for a little over an hour and we were having a great time with just the regular chips and salsa and by the time we were done with our brunch, the server never remembered to bring the salsa verde. Which is fine but if you didn’t wanna bring it, you could have at least done the courtesy of saying we don’t carry it or something along those lines. Next time though, I think I am going to stick to their regular menu as their brunch menu did not really amaze me.

I’ve been here a couple of times. The first time was a couple of years ago to eat before Cinco De Mayo drinking madness. The last time was for lunch before Sunday Funday. My experience both times were just okay. The last time I was here, there was no wait to sit inside but a short wait to sit out in the patio. It was sunny but the weather was kind of cool. They couldn’t get the patio heater by us to work. The fire kept dying — I’m guessing they were out of propane or something. No no. After we were seated, nobody approached us to offer drinks or anything. We sat there for a good 10 minutes before we asked the hostess if we could move to a different table in the patio(to get a better view of the TV — Broncos/Steelers playoff game was on). After we moved, it was another five minutes before my friend finally decided to flag someone down to take our order. Seriously though, why you be ignoring your customers? Ordered the queso to start and I decided to get the Carne Asada while my friend ordered the Tacos Al Carbon. Steak was okay, a little bit overcooked, I though(I wanted medium). My friend said his tacos were good but I didn’t have a taste so I can’t comment. I’ll probably be back here to eat before I go binge drinking again. Maybe.

The food was okay, the service not so good. We waited forever to get our food and by the time it arrived the food was cold. I don’t think I will be coming back.

The restaurant has the best crab nachos! They are highly seasoned and a Must Try! Happy hour is from 3 – 6! So make sure to come try them!

Generic Chex Mex Restaurant Ordered the steak Fajita’s — Meat was good, tender — very generous portion — complimentary chips w/salsa delicious, do not eat too much as they can fill you up. The place is DARK. It has a club vibe to it. Seeing that it is mid town looks like this is one of those places that turns into a club/bar after hours. Waiter was very nice, filled us up on chips and salsa. Ordered food, came out in about 10 minutes, very fast. I would eat here again, reminds me of Chevy’s or Chilis if you need a comparison.

Coming from CA I was expecting at least equivalent quality of Mexican food, but this was not the case. Two of the people from my party didn’t even eat half of their entrée… some type of crappy looking enchilada with overcooked ground beef. If you are nostalgic for Taco Bell, then you are going to feel right at home. Since I arrived late, I decided to hedge my bet on a salmon salad, which also turned out to be a disappointment. On the bright side, the drinks looked amazing and were probably good? I’m guessing they are counting on you being inebriated by the time they serve their food? Overrated and not worth the money.

Come here for a Margarita. chose raspberry on ice no salt(Texan size) «mucho grande» .it totally hit the spot. nacho and dip was great too. The dude next to use at the bar was«too» friendly and by friendly I mean annoying. poor thing was drunk. he spilled his drink, not quite on me, but in my vicinity so I took the opportunity to ask him if perhaps he thought he’d had enough to drink?! He apologize endless times and mentioned he was having issues with his wife. talk about TMI. shortly after he paid his tap and left after apologizing once again. I guess we have all been there… well not quite there but it sure didn’t ruin my time out with my girls. The Bartender come around and cleaned it all up quickly. the atmosphere was chill. and being a Sunday evening the out door sitting area was full. The wait to sit outside was not bad, but we started to crave sushi and left after our drinks.

Their enchiladas are the best!!! I seriously love this place. I usually go to the one in city centre but I tried this one the only complaint I have is their service it took 20 minutes for someone to greet and get our drinks. It took 15 minutes for them to bring us the drinks and the food took over 25 minutes and the restaurant was not busy! If it was busy I would understand… But no :( Brunch is really good here they have bottomless mimosas and for a really good price. Their chips and salsa is good but their guac is very average and bland. They have a great happy hour menu. Make sure you do valet otherwise parking isn’t so good. Also, this restaurant gets very packed at night. Attire– during the day dress casual but at night a cute black dress and some heels is the way to go ladies.

I went here for the second time on a Sunday and it was ridiculously loud. I couldn’t have a conversation a foot away from me. It wasn’t even the people. The music was playing so loud it felt like I was at a carnival. Drinks are good. But not worth the exaggerated prices. Food is mediocre. I got a steak and it was unpleasant. I don’t recommend this place unless you come by yourself sit at the bar and drink.

I don’t know where to get begin about this place. However I know as soon as you walk in you should order a margarita as they are the best on planet earth. And if you so happen to ask for Miguel, he’ll treat you like the Queen you are, I love this man. By your third visit he’ll know exactly the way you want your drinks if you are very particularly like me. The crab omelet is my favorite meal for breakfast/brunch. For dinner the crab enchiladas with Chardonnay cream sauce will change your life forever. There’s no way one person can eat all of their meal, the portions here are large and so worth the money. Happy hour is prettyyyy amazing too. Mondays and Tuesdays are no big deal but the last two days of the week are packed for happy hour in there. Get there early to get a seat at the bar OR you’ll be standing. Valet your car and sit back and have a really good meal… enjoy!!!

The lobster enchiladas($ 25) with Mexican white cheese, chardonnay cream sauce, and toasted pine nuts were my favorite out of the things we tried. What’s not to love about chunks of lobster under layers of cheese and cream? The seafood ceviche($ 14 + $ 7 for jumbo lump crab meat) and fish tacos($ 13.50) were good too. The guacamole($ 8) was a bit bland, but it did come with salt and pepper on the side to season to taste. The regular-sized skinny margarita($ 12) was huge. I imagine the jumbo would have been bigger than my bladder. It was a bit sweet for my taste. Service was great. As soon as I finished my water, someone would appear to swap out the empty cup with a full cup.

Happy hour here is the best! Everything is pretty much $ 5. My best friend and I took a vacation day together and decided to start our happy hour here! The smaller margaritas are $ 5 during happy hour, queso $ 5& guacamole $ 5. We ordered 2 of everything, we were so hungry. It hits the spot! The queso comes with meat in it so if you are a vegan watch out! It’s so yummy!

If I could give this place a .5, I would. First off they sat us at a table where the air conditioning was leaking all over the table. Then instead of moving us, someone was sent out with some makeshift broom to mop up the water right above our food. Then after the water wouldn’t stop, we asked to be moved, only to be placed in an enclosed area with no ventilation. Needless to say, it was uncomfortably hot. If I wanted to partake in the houston heat, I would have sat outside. In any case, we asked for a manager(MARTIN), and when he came he said he would move us. He completely forgot about us, and we just continued to eat what we had, and decided to not order anything further. This place is decent, but the manager sucked big time. Because of him, I won’t be back. The salsa was quite good. But, it will be a cold day in hell before I spend another dollar here. Update: by the end of the night, it took about 45 mins to get our check. Worst service in life.

Great Mexican in great part of town. Top of the action with great views of downtown. I usually sit outside or at the bar. I’ve been to the Washington, Woodway and Town & Country locations n Midtown is the best. Friendly staff, helpful bartenders, valet parking at night. Dress code but it’s casual during the day, at night I usually wear big boy pants. Other location it’s the carne asada, here the Spinach Enchiladas are to die for. spinach, mushrooms, pine nuts with a champagne white cheese sauce is just killer. All the other locations are dry n I’ve talked to them about it. Other selections leave me wishing I’d ordered this.

So first of all, let me say that I love this place! If you want to get some good people watching in along with a little mixing and mingling with other young professionals(especially during happy hour), then this is the spot! I’ve only been here a couple of times, but this time around was around 7:30 and right after a lot of the on a Thursday night happy hour crowd had trickled out and the dinner crowd was coming in. So not packed with people, but still a good amount were there. Before I get to the important part– the food– remember that you will need to use your outdoor voice here because it is loud! Now the good stuff: My friend had the blue ocean margarita, she said it was not sweet enough. So she sent that back and got a Sangria instead. She loved it! I had the mango mojito and it was DEELISH! No complaints here! For dinner she had the brisket tacos and I had the lobster tacos. Both were spicy, but oh so good! That was my first time having lobster tacos and I must say that they were light, yet very filling(or maybe I had one too many chips, lol). Again, another great time at Cyclone Anaya’s!

Last week I took my brunch adventure to Cyclone Anaya’s in Midtown. Its a very nice place but I feel the quality of food does not match the décor. I ordered an omelette that came with rice and beans and a side of fruit. The omelette was pretty good, just slightly over cooked. I wish the omelette had been a little hotter. I could tell it probably sat under the heat lamp for a little while, but the omelette was still decent. Cyclones Omelette and Bottomless Mimosas The kicker for this place is their deal on the almighty mimosas! They have an «all you can drink» mimosa deal from 11−3(which is how long their brunch runs on weekends) You pay $ 10.50 for plus a penny refill for mimosas and poinsettias. Thats right… ONECENTREFILLS! So you can basically drink till your heart is happy(or stomach full). So basically they offer bottomless mimosas for $ 10.50. The mimosas themselves were served out of a pitcher since I sat at the bar. If they were freshly made they would have been much better. Yet, they still did the job. The mimosas combined with the food help to give Cyclones a 4 out of 5. So if you’re looking for some okay food and slight turn up. This is the place. I highly recommend for a Sunday Funday Sidenote: Those mimosas are sleepers. Be Ready… For More Brunch Info:

I’ve been going to Cyclone Anya’s for years. I can never get enough of their nachos. Who am I fooling? I go for the big ass margaritas. This location is located on the corner of West Gray and Bagby in midtown. The area tends to get crowded, but there is street parking, paid garage parking, and valet. They have a cute patio area that sits next to the sidewalk if you want to hang out with friends and people watch. The bar is always a happening spot, at least every time I’ve gone. Check this spot out if you’re in midtown.

Joined a group of friends here for brunch on Sunday. It was very busy so the service was very slow. Our server was very kind and patient, but I could tell she was swamped. My girlfriend and I ordered the $ 10 bottomless mimosas and split the full order of beef nachos. It’s one of our favorite items on the menu. I also enjoy the chicken enchiladas or the salmon salad(the avocado lime dressing is to die for). Although our waitress was busy, she did a good job of keeping our glasses full and checking in on us when she could. It took a long time to get our bills, but other than that everything went smoothly. Parking here is not the best, but valet is available. The margaritas here are strong, so I’ll be back to enjoy them sometime this summer.
