Went here for lunch. They obviously had some sort of hiccup in the kitchen because our food took almost an hour to come out. Food was ok, but I really think the dishes here are overpriced for what you are getting. So, minus one star for the high prices, and minus one for the hiccup in the service. I do like the sport bar aspect, and the TVs at each booth is nice. Just really wish the prices for the food were lower.

The service was awesome and they definitely went above and beyond for our family! They made so lemonade for our four year old and she loved it. I had the shrimp platter which was plenty to share with the kids. My husband had Nora’s Boy and thought it was nicely crispy with good flavor. They happily changed the channel so we could watch the soccer match and made my husband’s Father’s Day great. We ordered the truffle Mac and cheese which my daughter didn’t care for, but that’s no surprise coming from someone with a young pallet. It would be a great environment for a night with friends or a relaxed date. We went wary with our family and it was good for us also.

The shrimp and grits are off the charts, and the crawfish bread was a close second. Authentic creole Nola style. I’ll be back!

We are in Houston for a family wedding! My husband and brother in law wanted Cajun food. Found you guys with amazing reviews. The food was excellent! Our waiter Ashley was top notch! He was so well versed in the menu, food prep, and beer and wine selections. He had a fabulous ‘table side’ manner and MADE our dining experience! We left a pair of sunglasses on our table and Ashley ran out with them to meet us at our car! We came back to our hotel and ‘talked ’ your restaurant up in the lobby and hotel bar area. We live in San Antonio and Dallas and have ample restaurants to choose from. Yours ranked at the very highest! I personally work in the entertainment and tourism arena and you guys do it ALLRIGHT! We will definitely return here! AWESOME-NESS!

What a great find!!! This new, hidden, little gem boasts some of the finest flavors of NOLA!!! So delicious! Must try the po-boys or crawfish bread… the bread is to die for!!! YUM!!! Everyone is so friendly and if you want to watch your favorite sports game there are PLENTY of TVs to go round. Fun place-we’ll come back to try dessert– next time I’ll know to save room!

Upon walking there was no greeter in sight but there were just a few people in the restaurant. It was a seat yourself style establishment. I didn’t feel like I wanted to leave or run. I wanted more. The bartender served as the waiter and greeter. He was very polite. This place had high reviews and in my area. I was not disappointed. There were televisions literally everywhere even in every booth. We were just in time for the lunch special. I knew what I wanted before I sat down thanks to the Unilocaler who posted a menu pic. Unfortunately my mother wanted the same thing so I couldn’t nibble off hers. The gumbo was delicious coming from a New Orleans girl myself. A slight difference in taste than I’m used to but still good… A bit more salt than I would have liked but very edible. The shrimp poboy didn’t disappoint. I’m just sad I won’t be around this neighborhood longer to make this a regular spot. I have to come back for the drinks(specifically the«flu shot») and I have to try a dessert. So I guess I will be back.

First and for most, so not get the no way Jose. It’s bitter, tasteless, but it does have one hell of a kick. The crawfish bread was good but to all my fellow high blood pressures out there, stay away! It’s salt on top of salt and then topped off with a little more salt. There’s some cheese in there and about four crawfish tails. The fried seafood platter was also salty. Needless to say, I left out there not being able to take my rings off my fingers. I was swollen from all the salt. I’m not a health fanatic, but I also don’t like to scarf down a heart attack just because I’m hungry. The lady that seated us was extremely nice. And so was our waiter. That was about as good as it got. Cheers

Took my mom here for Mother’s Day today, both first timers to the restaurant. Decided to come here because they had a Mother’s Day brunch that was extremely reasonable and we’re from Louisiana, so we thought, why not! Erin was our waitress and she was absolutely wonderful! The food was GREAT! I definitely recommend the grits, even if ur not a grits fan — trust me they’re awesome. The chef came to our table(who I believe is also the owner) multiple times and was exceptionally nice. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be coming back — and my mom says the bread pudding is to die for!

I expected only to complain about the noise level you have to endure to enjoy the good food. Then my cold grits arrived. The shrimp were great; the grits were barely lukewarm. It took till I was almost finished before anyone asked about my my meal. Eventually a guy appeared to offer me a comped glass of cab. If anyone had asked sooner– or noticed my obvious dissatisfaction, I would be kinder.

So this place is actually super hard to find. Google maps pointed me in the wrong direction and I had to circle the place like 3 times before I found it. However, when I was there with some coworkers the service was good, and the food was pretty good too. I was surprised because it seemed like a small/new place. I wish the lighting was better there but I mean what do you expect at a sports bar. Edit: went here recently and saw that they were closed?!? It seemed like it was failure to pay for rent or something! All I have to say is whut?!? I was really confused.

Good price. Salty crawfish. Poor communication. We called in advance to make sure that they had boiled crawfish because that is what we were looking for, and they did so we went. We went to the restaurant via gps. It had poor signage and dark Windows. You definitely could not tell that it was a restaurant there behind the Firestone. We asked the waitress what came with the boiled crawfish, since it was not on the menu and there were no «special» signs and she told us corn and potatoes. Three of us ordered 4 lbs of the crawfish and fixings, one ordered the fried shrimp platter and our 8 yo ordered a burger. The burger came on a Poboy bun so the 8 yo did not eat the bun but ate the beef patty and fries. The fried shrimp platter was good and came with abundant amount of fries. Noticed that the chef was sitting out at the table with friends when we placed our order. There were about 10 customers average in the restaurant the entire time we were there. The boiled crawfish came out in a beer bucket. They were a bit overly salty. I had heard the person next to our table sending their dish back due to the saltiness. We asked about the potatoes and corn and the waitress went to check. She came back and said the owner’s mom was going to the store to buy corn and potatoes were«on the way.» We continued to eat the crawfish and eventually realized that there was no corn and potatoes coming. The wait staff politely acted like the corn and potatoes did not exist when asking us if everything was okay. We got to the bottom of the bucket with no corn/potatoes, above average but salty crawfish and then we started picking the pieces of cooked pasta out of the crawfish. Didn’t order any dessert. Bill took forever. Gave a 20% tip because you never know what is going on in the BOH but can’t screw people because of their management. Going to pick up some crawfish, take them home and do them right after this.

This place is awesome! Best oyster Po-boy I’ve had in a long, long time. The portions are huge… Actually too huge for me to finish(but I wanted too) I’m going to come back to try their boiled crawfish. The atmosphere is very nice as well. The staff were attentive and they have tons of TVs for sporting events. They also have a wide variety of specialty cocktails which reminded me of New Orleans. I couldn’t partake though because I was on a lunch break but I know I will invite my friends for some after work fun soon. Oh and they also have a 10 percent discount for people who work at Johnson Space Center!

Ok my Unilocal friends, this place is legit. I saw it was called Crecent City Connection, unless you are from New Orleans you understand the meaning behind the name. This is the name of the twin bridges between West Bank to bridge the gap to New Orleans. This same meaning behind the restaurant’s name the owner Eric is putting into his food. He is bridging that gap from Houston to New Orleans. Now many know how picky and serious I am about my seafood. I will be eating here again. Tonight I ordered crawfish — and let me tell you I was very pleased. Of course I asked a bunch of questions before I ordered(which in hindsight– the waitstaff was prepared to answer any native Louisiana skepticism) I told my waiter Stephen, I like mine spicy! He said I will be sure to put in your order that I want it spicy. There was a wait(because of my special order), but when you go to a crawfish boil you are there to visit drink and socialize while the crawfish are cooking right? My crawfish were to my spicy tasting, that right spicy to burn the lips and taste the crawfish. You know I only ordered enough for an appetizer and wished I ordered more than 3lbs. I then ordered oysters on the half-shell. Very tasty and on the mark. Pricing is what you would expect from fresh seafood done right. I did not taste the other items on the menu, however my fellow New Orleans friends, he worked for Brennan’s and you know only quality comes from that long tradition of cooking.

Yep! Louisiana-Crescent City to be exact, Done Right!!! No let’s say it’s Crescent City, let’s say it’s Louisiana to get people in then pull a switch!!! Nope!!! Now it’s not a place to frequent every night, well why not come every night because the Peach Belini’s are Awesome!!! Kids loved everything my 5 year old said it’s Narley & AhhhMazing President Obama &Michelle should be here LOL! Both kids said the cup of seafood gumbo taste just like their great aunts gumbo & we Love Aunt Hattie’s Gumbo! Burgers and seafood were like New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood(Clearview) Meets Copeland’s-Parran’s-Houstons(you know the Veterans locations… RIP Houstons) We ordered hamburgers which are served on French poboy bread, shrimp platter, cup of gumbo, dessert and the price was fair!!! The waitress said they will get beignets soon! Awesome! This is actually my 1st time ever ordering gumbo in a restaurant outside of New Orleans EVER in my life and it served up just like it was home! I wish I worked in this area I would be at lunch and or happy hour here but thanks to Houston traffic once I get to this side I’ve missed all the fun so I’ll be back when their boiled crawfish returns and just to relax my mind one Saturday or Friday evening because I could certainly have ordered another Peach Belini, but I have the kids and it’s only Wednesday so : —( Yes visit you will not be disappointed! Thank you Unilocal Elite Danna G!!! Follow her, her reviews have all been on point!

I have been waiting on this right here! Real Louisiana food in Clear Lake. I have been here three times in one week; needless to say I enjoy the place. The food is fresh and flavorful! The $ 11 lunch special(poboy and gumbo) is a steal! Happy hour specials are on point. $ 6 Shrimp quesadillas! Huge fresh Gulf shrimp with cheese oozing out! The gumbo has the perfect roux, color, flavor! While I’m not a fan of frog legs, my son thoroughly enjoyed them while I ordered the Red Snapper Royale! The snapper was cooked to perfection! My only complaint is the fired catfish platter, the fish was cut too thick for my likening. Amy & Adrian are excellent bartenders! Always attentive and personal! Check em out! You just may see me there!

Ok, my fellow Unilocalers pretty much hyped this place up with all the great reviews. They just opened, and it seems like they are doing well. New Orleans is a great food city, and to name your restaurant after it absolutely added to my excitement! Unfortunately, I may have expected a little too much. They just opened, so they don’t have a big sign outside yet and its easy to miss because it is at the end of a strip mall. The hostess that sat us was nice, and the waiter arrived to get our drinks shortly thereafter. The dining area was clean and spacious, and there is a bar that is easily accesible in the center. The décor of the place was definitely NOLA-ish(and almost reminded me of my drunken nights walking around Bourbon street. haha jk). There are TV’s at every booth and all over the place which is very convenient when trying to catch a game. Our server was great, he was attentive and tried to answer all of our questions. We were given water in a nice glass bottle that you could see at other fancy restaurants and that made me hyped up for the meal evern more. NOWTOTHE3STARPART: I started off with the truffle mac n cheese, and also had the NOLA boy po-boy. The Mac n cheese was served in a cast iron plate. It looked good but it was a little too salty! I rarely tell my server about my food being not that great, but this time I had to tell them. The waiter said he will inform the kitchen, but did not get a feedback from the kithcen. The po-boy was OK, although it was big. Overall the food was just meh. I know they just opened, and maybe this was just a miss for me. I will try again and see if I get a better experience!

They have happy hours specials M-F, staff was nice & friendly. Amy the bartender is awesome, creative & got some skills. Come one. Come all. #support your local small business owners

I have a confession my fellow Unilocalers… I have been out, and not fulfilling my responsibility to the Unilocal community to review. Shocker I know, but I haven’t been wowed or even disappointed just really meh experiences… Until now! Me and my husbands last trip was to New Orleans and of course like everybody else does we fell in love with their food. I especially did at this one spot that I went THREE days in a row to get a shrimp Po’Boy…it was just that good. Crescent City Connection transported me back to that trip. Hello and Thank You! The shrimp Po’Boy was SO delicious! Husband almost lost a finger cause we shared, and I might have stolen a shrimp when he wasn’t looking … Shhhh! Next time I get one I will ask for a little extra sauce, cause I’m just saucy like that! We also got crab cakes which I swear crab cakes are my fav fav fav and these did not disappoint, again with the sauce I wanted to lick the plate… no I’m not joking. To really put the icing on the cake they had our favorite beer on tap Karbachs Hopadillo on draft. As far as the atmosphere goes it is a very cool, relaxed vibe with multiple televisions everywhere including in the booths. Our service was good, and he came back to make sure we where happy with our food as well as made suggestions when we where on the fence with our order. There was also someone else walking around and«touching» each table to make sure they where satisfied with their experience. I even saw the bartender personally bring a drink to a couple sitting beside us to make sure it was exactly what he wanted. Right now they do have a banner up as the sign, and not a lighted sign for anyone that drives by. Its at the end of the strip opposite from Mr. Gattis. Crossing my fingers that this stays consistent because next time that i want to be transported back to New Orleans this will be where we go — of course unless we are actually in New orleans *wink

Just left having lunch and I’m so full I could take a nap! Apparently, this place just opened this past weekend. The food is ONPOINT! My husband and I ordered a cup of gumbo up front. I had the sausage and chicken and he had the seafood. Mine was delicious. It did have a little more rice and not as much soup as I like. Very filling. My husband’s seafood gumbo was something to write home about. Very tasty and the perfect soup/rice ratio! Flavor was delish! I will definitely get that when I return. For our lunch entrée I had the fried catfish poboy and he had the grilled catfish poboy. Both were great and the bread was so fresh! It came with french fries which were cooked perfectly. The manager and the chef/owner came out to talk with us. They were very curious about our opinion because they just opened and I really appreciate that! It looks like they offer a full bar and nice beer selection. Apparently they have daily happy hour specials. The place is RIGHT outside my neighborhood and down the street from work so we’ll definitely be back! Go and try them out!
