Amazing crawfish, ok service, could have been better but server took to long to come back with drinks had to ask other server to tell my waiter what I was missing to get it. Will come back to a follow up review to see if it was just my waiter

Love, love, love this place! Every single item I’ve ordered and eaten here has been delicious! Hands down, best crawfish, best crabs! Check out the peak times because the wait can be long, but definitely worth it!

This place has a lot of recognition for being one of the tastier crawfdaddies in town(Chinatown) mostly due to Andrew Zimmern’s influence when he had did a section on Cajun food for his TV show. I used to come here a lot but I think over the years, quality & quantity suffered. I was here maybe a few days ago for crawfish but I wasn’t satisfied. I left dinner still feeling hungry so I drove down the street and grabbed a Big Mac! haha no joke! CRAWFISH — if you’re looking for jumbo baby lobster size crawfish then this would be the place! However, with that said. crawfish was lacking in a flavor. Yes, all seasonings on the outside of the crawfish that was tossed in a garlic butter sauce was on point but the inside of the crawfish was really bland. you’ll have to dip it back in the sauce it comes with for more flavor. SALT/PEPPER BLUECRABS — this is the ONLY reason why I came here for but I was left so disappointed! It used to be so fulfilling but now it’s so lack luster. Crab had barely any meat. Portion size was minimal. barely any seasonings on it at all! I used to love coming here for this but this time it did not hit the spot. OYSTERS — ordered ½ raw & ½ grilled. both made me hangrier! the raw oysters tasted like they had been soaked in water all day so the brininess of the oysters were lacking. tasted too clean? lol if that made sense. grilled oysters weren’t a crowd pleaser for me bc it had ginger and scallions on top. I just don’t like the taste of ginger. tasted too herbal for my seafood. COMCHIENBOLUCLAC — literally the plate was all garlic chunks and a few pieces of meat. rice was packed down so it was nicely presented but super dry. Felt like I was eating a salad more so than a rice dish since ¾ of the plate was covered with lettuce. no bueno. Service was not too shabby. Food came out accordingly. I just didn’t like the fact that they kept switching my bowls out every 5 mins when I had my crawfish tails taken away from me each time. lol ooh and worse part was when they did, they would hover over me to do so. by the 5th time, a few crawfish guts dropped on my handbag. not a big deal cause I could wipe it off but I think they should be more cautious. Yeah so you can see why I left hungry. portion sizes decreased but prices remain higher than most crawfish places. I’m not saying I’ll never coming back but I’ll plan a 2nd location to snack afterwards.

I absolutely love LOVE Love this restaurant. I have been going here for YEARS, even at the previous location. Trong and his staff are awesome, and are always nice and efficient. It makes a difference when you walk in a restaurant, as busy as they are, and they remember you, give you a hug. I’ve had about everything on the menu and I’ve never been disappointed. The menu is a perfect mixture between Cajun and Vietnamese cuisine. My favorite item to order is the crawfish. The heavy garlic butter magical sauce is heavenly and addictive. I find myself dipping my potatoes back into the sauce. They can also accommodate large groups which is a plus. A lot of the restaurants that are similar, usually are too small. You will not be disappointed going here. And don’t be afraid to try new things on the menu.

First and foremost, I love that my Unilocal friends are the most recent reviewers. I came here with a friend of mine I met through Unilocal.Kashif and I have met in different states for a meal, and plan to continue this trend. It’s a fantastic bromance. So Kashif named this place as a spot he wanted to check out while in town. So we did. I’ve been before, loved it then, loved it now. We went with the crawfish Fried Rice. We went with hot, for the spice level. It was fantastic. It wasn’t so hot that I needed to out out a fire, but hot enough to get a little rise out of my sweat glands. Good quantity, good presentation, quick service. We also got the blue crab, with salt and pepper seasoning. This was so damn good! I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of this dish. The season g was sweet with salt and pepper. It was very good. The staff was very attentive, and courteous. My water was never empty. In addition, as mentioned by my Unilocal sistas, this place is so freaking clean for a crawfish joint. And it smelled good too. Very good place! I’ll be back for the basil fried rice and turkey neck. Both of which seem to make the highlights list for a lot of hungry folks.

We were so excited to come here after reading all the great reviews but after eating there it wasn’t the BEST crawfish place we have been too. In fact it wasn’t even spicy or juicy. I’m not sure why people say it’s the best and on top of that, it’s way over priced!!! Never paying $ 10/lb for crawfish that wasn’t even all that great. The staff isn’t that friendly nor came to our table to check on us. First and last visit ever!!! There’s way better crawfish places around.

We sampled a few different dishes, all of which were great. The honey chicken wings were sublime. Seriously amazing, crunchy sweet and hot. The sales blue crabs were amazing. They have an extremely crunchy external shell. If you love blue crabs I’d highly recommend it. Lastly the crawfish were plump and full and covered in a delicious garlic sauce. These crawfish are much more aromatic compared to its Cajun counterpart and has a much more subtle burn. One of the biggest differences seems to be there is very little saltiness in Vietnamese crawfish. This place was definitely a treat but the prices are a little absurd. When I went, medium large select live crawfish could be bought for $ 1.69 lb in bags and they charge 9 $ lb. in my opinion that’s a bit ridiculous and is going to prevent me from going there at any frequency. Overall I’d recommend it but they seriously need to consider moving there prices with the market. Crawfish aren’t an inelastic good.

Finally tried this place out. Had to make sure we try it before the season is over. So ofc we found out that it was $ 9/lb. They only have 1 house special flavor. Went for the SPICYYASSSSS went with their Mon-thurs special and got that extra 6th lb for free. Also ordered an order of seafood mi xao and a tiger beer. The food took a bit to come out even for a humpday. When it finally came out we knew it was gonna be worth the wait. The size of the crawfish was HUGE or decently big. Peeling back the shells you end up so much crawfish meat. Idk where they get their crawfish but every single one of them were meaty! I love ittttt. The mi xao was super delicious. You gotta make sure to pour the sauce they have on the side and stir/mix it well before eating. Overall an amazing first time experience here. Everything look clean including the restroom. The servers were nice and made sure to keep our shell bowls ‘unfill’. The only mishap ofc we have is their price of crawfish is a little overpriced versus other places. So beware of that! Oh yes pls try their tiger beer! It’s one of my favorite Asian imported beer.

One of the tastiest calamari and crawfish that I’ve had in Houston! I definitely recommend this place if you are a crawfish fanatic like me. I do recommend you be prepared to wait to be seated. We came around 5p on a weekend and it was packed! The staff is friendly but, they are pretty busy. They do their best to come around and check up on you.

My family and I always eat out after church on Sundays, and this place was one we had to come back to because of the crawfish. It’s crawfish season so why not! We ordered their combination fried rice, which was delicious. It had two quail eggs and Chinese sausage which I love. Since I am writing this review a couple of weeks after we went, I don’t quite remember the names. We ordered a bowl of mildly flavored crawfish and a bowl of spicy flavored crawfish. Both were really flavorful. Next, we ordered some Sweet asian honey flavored wings(I’m not sure what it was called… but I’m trying to be close), and bbq flavored wings. The bbq wasn’t anything special, but the Asian honey flavored one was great. Their wings are a little on the small side though. Overall, I think this place is a good place to eat crawfish.

I came here after watching Andrew Zimmern’s Bizarre Foods episode when he lavished praise on their crawfish and blue crab. I ordered both — first, let me say that the crawfish was fresh, well sized and the spicy sauce very flavorful. It’s not Cajun but still very good, a bit of a sweet spicy Vietnamese style. Also, I ordered a side of butter for .75 cents which arrived with our drinks. By the time the food was at the table, the melted butter has congealed back to solid form. Now onto the blue crab… two words, no meat! Being from New England, I tend to be very hard on my seafood reviews and this is one instance where the experience was less than perfect. The crab is seasoned with a sweetish pepper/onion mixture, battered and then fried. While the flavor was good the frying process makes it extremely difficult to get any meat from the crab because it’s dried out or heated onto the shell. Sorry, Andrew, this is NOT the best blue crab in the south! Finally, on the bill. When I ordered, I asked what the market price was for the blue crab and was told $ 11/lb. I placed my order for 1 lb of blue crab and 2 lbs of crawfish; the waiter took my order without comment. My meal arrived, and when I received my check I was stunned to see a $ 22 charge for the blue crab. I inquired, thinking they must have charged me for 2 lbs instead of the 1 lb I ordered. Indeed they did. But, and this is where I am most upset, the hostess tells me that it’s ONLY sold in 2 lbs, not 1. That’s all well and good IF you tell the customer when they place their order, which they did not. She refused to correct the waiters error. Poor grades overall for no customer service. The extras will get you in the pocket, they charge for everything, butter, extra sauce, even gloves!!! There are plenty of restaurants that serve fantastic crawfish and blue crab in Houston and that offer better prices and know what customer service looks like. As for me, I will personally never darken this restaurants doorway again.

What to order here: Salt and Pepper Crab! For $ 22 you get tons of delicious cooked crab. Their seasoning is so good and crabs are always pretty fresh. My roommate and I order this for takeout almost once a week. We’ve tried the tamarind flavor as well and I liked it but my roommate said she’s had better elsewhere. Their boiled seafood(crawfish, blue crab, shrimp, etc) is all slightly overpriced compared to other crawfish places in the area. It’s mid season and they’re still charging $ 10/lb. They also have this rule about a minimum 2lbs if you’re ordering boiled seafood which I really dislike. However, their flavor is pretty decent. They have one standard flavor and you can choose the spiciness level. Come here for the crab!

The name of the restaurant is Crawfish and Noodles, so naturally I order crawfish since it is in season and a noodle dish since you’d think it be good but it was just aites. However, the crawfish was quite delicious and their blue crab is a must! I went Saturday afternoon and was surprised there wasn’t much of a wait, and our food actually came out in a timely manner, so I guess I lucked out compared to other Unilocalers. However, they do have lots of TV’s to keep ya entertained, but I was just having fun people watching and noticing how in its former life Crawfish and Noodles was probably a buffet. Crawfish-3 lbs ordered at Medium spice and sadly this wasn’t spicy at all but man was the flavor delicious! This is definitely Vietnamese style crawfish so super garlicky with lots of spices including some lemongrass and maybe ginger with a butt ton of butter! The mudbugs were decently sized with a few runts as expected but overall not bad. The crawfish was cooked super tender and most of the meat was fairly easy to obtain. The only thing I wish was for the actual meat to be more flavorful, but honestly if you just drench it with the sauce you won’t be able to stop! Noodles-We ordered the top one, the one with the longest title and most expensive, also known as stir-fry noodles with seafood, beef, or vegetables. This was an impulsive add on at the suggestion of our waitress. Honestly, she mumbled a bit so didn’t know of our choice in protein but we were able to figure out that she asked for our preference of noodles, egg or rice. We ended up with egg noodles with the seafood variation which provided a decent amount of shrimp and squid, but the squid was a bit rubbery. The noodles are a bit bland, but the side of black sweet soy sauce mixture made it a lot better, and helped cut the saltyness of the crawfish. Salt and Pepper Stir-fry Blue Crab-Hands down the best and definitely worth the price, an order was $ 22 bucks and there was A LOT. I loved how each crab was so thoroughly battered and fried that you could eat the whole thing! The batter was super flavorful with a balance of sweet, salty, and spicy! If you don’t like crawfish then just this dish is worth the trip! Overall, I thought the crawfish was tender and came with a tasty sauce, but steep cost, ~$ 9 – 10 a pound and just a half ear of corn… The noodles are bland but may be appreciated if you are drinking the crawfish sauce. The salt and pepper blue crabs were best bang for the buck! Oh, and service was pretty attentive.

The Crawfish is amazing! You might have to wait a while if you come on the weekends but it’s well worth it. I recommend medium or spicy. in not a fan of just the regular boiled crawfish so the sauce they disk t inn is music to my ears. Also get the cajun fries! Next best thing after boiling crab closed.

Crawfish and Noodles is now my go to place for Vietnamese Style Crawfish. The restaurant is huge and looked quite busy when we arrived. Our hostess was very cordial and seated us within fifteen minutes. They do expect you to share tables if you are a small party. Since we were a party of two, we were essentially seated at a table for 6 with another couple at the other end and the middle two seats empty. This wasn’t an issue for us but maybe for some, so be sure to mention this to the host. We ordered crawfish fried rice, which was okay. The craw fish didn’t seem to have a lot of flavor and felt like shrimp. We also ordered two pounds of crawfish(more than enough for two) which arrived quickly. The crawfish was well seasoned(we ordered moderate) and the garlic butter was addictive. They also provided extra seasoning which made it extra spicy. I’m definitely a fan and will be coming back here again.

This is my boyfriend and I’s favorite crawfish spot. He comes for the crawfish and I come for the noodles… well, Asian food. I’ve never been a fan of crawfish, it looks like miniature lobsters and taste very seafoody. I can’t get into it but my boyfriend loves it. When crawfish season rolls around, I use to reluctantly go with him, nibble on some corn and call it day. However… his favorite crawfish place is now crawfish and noodles and I’m loving all the delicious non-crawfish options. Besides crawfish, these are the items you should definitely try and add to your order: — Cajun Fries — spicy and so good — Fish Sauce Chicken Wings — sweet and salty, one-of-a-kind flavor — Com Bo Luc Lac — one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, and C&N does it right — Salt & Pepper Blue Crab — ugh, so good! But I’ll pass sometimes because — cue Rihanna — it’s so much work work work work work work to crack shells and get meat. I’m lazy. I don’t like working so hard for food. As for the crawfish… all I know is that it is really good and really spicy. I watch him sweat bullets and work work work work work work for the tiny pieces of meat while I sit back enjoying my chicken wings… poor bf, ain’t a thang but a chicken wang.

This is my second visit at Crawfish and Noodles, and though I can say I enjoyed my order more this time, I can’t really say it’s excellent, but a little better than average. The crawfish took forever to come out, but then by the time it came, all is forgiven. I think the crawfish is definitely huge in size, and the meat is more plump, but the garlic butter sauce isn’t that memorable to me, although it was a good taste. I also ordered cajun wings, and although I did like it as it was marinated well, I felt it was more sweet in flavor which I didn’t expect, and it wasn’t the same cajun flavor seasonings I tasted at other places in the past. I did like how they clear our trash/waste a couple of times, so our table was relatively clean. Oh, and I had ordered extra butter on the size, and they forgot to give it. Boo.

Food 4 stars Service 2 stars ***Tips before you start — if you’re having crawfish, ask for gloves and a bib. Game changer. Remember these are Asian crawfish so they have oil and sauce that will end up all over you. Don’t wear white, which I did like a dummy. The gloves save your hands from smelling like butt, keeps your nails intact and clean, and easy to dispose of at the end. The fried rice is delicious. Really very good. You can get a big bowl of it for the table, some side plates, and treat it as an appetizer. You come here for crawfish, after all. The shrimp can be your second course. You really want to share everything here except the crawfish. You can then turn greedy. The shrimp comes unpeeled so it retains all the flavor. You can have it cooked the same way as your crawfish. Definitely order the shrimp. Feb is still a bit early for crawfish. They were on the smaller side, but they should be. They taste amazing though. Asian style crawfish is maybe my favorite, TBD, but it’s also packing on more calories because of the oil and sauce the crawfish are cooked in. Enjoy your piece of corn too. I’d say get 3lbs per person. You get your own bowl of them so you get exactly your quantity. This is ideal for the slower peelers at your table. They won’t leave hungry. I didn’t want to start with the service because the food is worth being ignored for your entire visit. We did have a specific waiter, but he visited us less than about 3 other people that worked there. If you think about the food — it’s messy and on the saltier side — you’ll need more napkins, more to drink, your plates cleared frequently, etc. Everything you want you have to ask for when you can get someone to stop. Don’t come here to be wowed by service. Come patient, hungry, and ready to eat. The crawfish is killer.

Crawfish and Noodles just missed the mark… honestly with the warm beer and $ 10 a pound for the crawfish I almost gave it 2 stars. However the crawfish were cocked perfectly ! Now if they just offered different flavors, colder beer, a couple buck cheaper(more what others charge) and more than 1 corn per 4 lbs they would have a 4 star or better. I am a huge fan of crawfish so I do get a little picky but that’s just how it is.
