It’s basically a Panera. And I would rate panera better. I originally ordered the Cuban but they were out. I changed my order to the steak and cheese. From the description It sounded like a French dip. It said in the menu it comes with dipping sauce. It came with a sweet salsa type thing? My kids got Mac n cheese. Which they liked but they’re 6 and 4 what do they care. I tried the Mac and cheese myself though and it was the most watery flavorless Mac and cheese ever. Meh. Wouldn’t come back, but my dear grandmother loves it so I imagine I’ll be back.

This was out so we either worst food ever. I ordered East taken cheese sandwich and my wife order the Anaheim panini. We went here because we wanted the café express with coffee. There coffee machine were broken so all that was left was regular coffee. These taken cheese came out to me cold so I had to send it back. When they brought it I ate it and it was distasteful. My wife’s panini only came with a half a bowl of fruit would she was told it was a full cup. The panini self was quite small as well. He customer service was pretty good, as she did bring out a new sandwich. The way of front was also very polite and the cook actually came back and apologize for the sandwich being cold. Although I appreciate the customer service I was very just please with the actual food. Also I would like to add the that my food when it came out was not just cold it was almost freezer cold by they forgot to heat it up.

I love this place. It’s simple. Service is quick. Can order for pick up. Lunch for 2 was 21.50. Love the variety in pastries. Makes desert a lot more fun. The food isn’t anything extraordinary but it’s good. The place is clean and outdoor seating is a plus when I have my pup.

I usually go to the one on Yale St but was in the area when I visited this one. I actually went to this store twice in one day. The first time I went was for breakfast. I got the breakfast meal that came with pancakes, eggs, & bacon. It was delicious. The eggs were fluffy and the pancakes were sweet. The next time I went was for dinner and I ordered their pesto pasta and my boyfriend ordered the steak and cheese sandwich. Both were delicious. I was very pleased with my experience. If you go you MUST try their cinnamon crumb muffin or one of their cookies. The only thing had a problem with was that the employees were playing around and being loud in the dining area which I thought was unprofessional. Other than that the food was a delight.

This wasn’t bad. Basically a poor mans Panera. Smoothie wasn’t the best but it wasn’t too bad either(all berry). I got the Mac n Cheese with Bacon and bread crumbs, THAT was good. I would go here again. Doesn’t need to be THAT pricey.

It’s been a while since I’ve been in here and now I remember why… They keep the restaurant so cold! I wished I had gloves and a coat on to eat my salad and forget about getting any work done– it’s too cold to write or type. Today, I asked the server if they could possibly adjust the A/C, as I could feel the cold air blasting. My request was met with a chorus of «yes, please» from the other people sitting in the section, but they did nothing. It’s a shame. The location is perfect for meetings and the food is good, but I don’t want to spend an entire lunch shivering.

Terrible place. I went there and ordered the caprese panini sandwich. It said it comes with two sandwiches and chips. Needless to say the lady brought one folded panini sandwich and chips. Wth? So I went back at the counter and showed her the menu. They said fine and it was going to be a few minutes. Both paninis were folded-barely grilled. There was tomatoes, slight dressing, mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and basil. There was barely any effort put into it. Some tomatoes were really chopped and some were not. Last time I checked paninis were cut and not folded. I paid $ 7.99 for this??? My mom ordered the gobbler which the bread was straight out of the fridge and therefore ice cold. Her sandwich looked really dry. I would not go back if you paid me. Quality and execution=1 star.

We don’t usually eat at chains and this is a Café Express /Panera type clone with sandwiches, soups, salads, pasta, sweets, and coffee, but it was not bad, just forgettable. It’s telling that I had already forgotten the name of this place 4 hours after lunch and had find the menu in my purse to write this review. We both liked our sandwiches very much, although they are no bargain at around 8 bucks each. My California Grille, a toasted veggie panini, was filled with zuccini, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, pesto, spinach and provolone. Bread makes any sandwich and the Whole Grain Harvest was crunchy and delicious. Hubby got an Uptown Turkey on Harvest Toast piled high with sliced turkey that tasted almost like it was freshly-carved, applewood smoked bacon, and avocado. Both were very tasty and filling. Sandwiches come with chips and a pickle spear, but we both opted for a side of Caesar Salad, which was a mistake, especially at 1.49 extra. The romaine was tired and limp and some of mine had brown edges. I suspect that the dressing had been put on waaayyy before the lunch rush. This happens everywhere at some point, but one of our«clean» knives was sticky with syrup and had a piece of dried food on it. We didn’t mention it. Will we go back? Maybe, but it won’t be because either one of us wakes up on a Saturday and says, «Hey Honey! Let’s go to Corner Bakery Café! Must. Have. Now.» My 3 stars should really be a 2.5.

I usually love eating here. It wasn’t a pleasant experience tonight. I don’t want to bad mouth corner bakery because I normally love eating here. Hopefully tonight was just a off night that will not happen again.

Could be much better… This is a casual breakfast and lunch venue. It is rather quiet and peaceful in the morning but the pace and noise level really increases during the lunchtime rush. There is a large display case next to the register with loads of yummy baked goods. There is also a decent coffee bar for patrons who need a caffeine fix. Today I placed a «to go» order. Although I normally get a tuna salad combo, this time I ordered a chicken pomodori panini combo because I was tempted by an email I’d received as a result of being on the mailing list. I should have stuck with my old favorite! The combo came with half of a sandwich, a cup of soup(I got chicken tortilla), a bag of chips and a pickle. The portion was good but I was overall not too impressed. When I opened the box at first glance I thought maybe they’d given me the wrong sandwich by mistake. I thought it was a grilled cheese sandwich because it was SOTHIN! I opened the bread to see 3 – 4 pieces of chicken, a smear of some type of sauce and a few pieces of spinach. Oh, there was also something that resembled sun dried tomatoes on it too but it was so few that I barely noticed the taste. The tortilla soup was spicy as always but this time if was extremely oily. I could see the grease floating on top. Needless to say, I stopped eating it about half way through. Thank goodness I had a $ 3.00 off coupon because if I didn’t, I would have been truly upset. I’ve been a patron of this place in the past and know that they can do better. I know that quality can dip during peak hours but I was the only person in line. There was simply no excuse for this poor quality food.

Pretty overpriced for what you get. I just don’t see the appeal of this place. My food wasn’t bad but I wish I could’ve changed a lot about it. I was here on a weekday for lunch and it was pretty crowded.

I had a wonderful experience dining here for lunch. From the counter ordering the worker made good suggestions was very polite and offered me a sample of the broccoli and cheese which I ordered. I had the Uptown Turkey and broccoli & cheese. Our food came out within 5 minutes of sitting down. It was pretty quick which was cool. I was very pleased with the presentation, timing of food delivery and the quality of the food. I asked for fruit instead of the chips and the worker places his tub on the floor and dashed to the back like superman to brought it right out. I thought it was nice there was a sense of urgency. Right as we finished eating a worker came to collect our plates. Literally as we finished no delay in dirty plates on the table. The manager even asked us how is everything going. It’s always great to see management interact with customers and be a part of their experience. I will be back.

I was weary of coming to this location based on the recent reviews, but they did well with my order this evening. My husband and I came in and ordered a Parmesan-Crusted Chicken and the Cuban Press. The portion and presentation of my Parm Chicken was perfect. This isn’t Maggiano’s Little Italy or anything, but the flavors were delicious. My husband was less than impressed with the presentation of his Cuban Press, but at first bite he immediately changed his tune. Again, the«simple» sandwich had great flavor. Post dinner drinks included Large Chai lattes and baked goods. We got a slice of cinnamon cream cake and a baby chocolate bundt cake. The Chais were hot and the cakes were so moist and not too sweet. As mentioned in other reviews, each booth and the majority of seating areas feature outlets and there ISWIFI. and it ISFREE. I’ll definitely be back.

Ehh I’ve actually bumped this up from what I think is really 2 and ½ stars… food is just mediocre and in small portions. Their paninis are, make no mistake about it, good, but have nothing that make it special. Although portions are small, they’re still pretty filling. My friend ordered the egg, spinach, and avocado flatbread and it did not live up to her expectations. She said it was so so bland and kept pouring salt and pepper to add some flavor. I recommend the Anaheim panini or if you want to be healthier, the scrambled version of that. I think this place is maybe a small notch higher than a Denny’s or Egg and I (Really liked the hibiscus lemonade but a tad too sweet!)

2 stars… Meh. I’ve experience better. Great food, wonderful presentation, slow service, ATROCIOUS execution! If you are ordering for a business meeting I would strongly suggest another restaurant. My office staff is hooked on this place so I’m stuck with it. Every single solitary time I’ve placed a lunch order here, something has been wrong with it. Which amazes me because I order on-line. How hard is it to read a damn screen!!! A few more examples… Their uncut sandwiches are probably 6″ in width yet they delivered the small saucer plates that are about 4″ across. See the problem? We ended up using unfolded napkins as plates. I usually pick up our orders to avoid the delivery fee(we’re pretty close). Once I picked up an order and the bottom of the bag was wet. I didn’t realize it until I made it back to my office. Almost lost the entire order in the parking lot! No spills inside the bag. Apparently it was staged on a wet counter top. I stood at the ‘On-line orders’ pick up counter and waited for someone to approach. Finally, one of the employees acknowledges me and tells me the register is closed. I had to get in line with the walk ins. Ummmm the reason I place order on-line is so that I don’t have to get in-line. Grrrrr! When you place order on-line, you must specify a pick up time. Choose a time 15 minutes earlier than you actually need it. It’s the only way it will be ready on time. Ordering lunch should be the easiest part of a persons work day right? Not if you’re ordering here.

I’ll start by saying that I’m kind of addicted to Corner Bakery. BLAKE is our favorite at this location. Just tried a new salad today at his recommendation, although I usually go for the Uptown Turkey. Oh… And be sure to try your next sandwich on a pretzel roll! Dessert: my faves are the monster cookie and the lemon bar! BONUS: great place for quick meetings. As an entrepreneur I love that friends can meet us here for coffee and meetings at our«corner office» as we like to call it.

Oh my word, this was the slowest and worst Corner Bakery I have ever been to. I went with a girlfriend for dinner and while the place was clean, cheery, and bright, the service was agonizingly slow from order to table. It took forever to place our orders with the one slow-moving cashier on staff. I was also handed the wrong meal until I reminded them I’d only ordered a half sandwich and soup combo. We then wanted to swap out our chips for bread(which was our choice initially) and that took another 5 – 10 minutes. It seemed every customer had some sort of need /an order to be fixed, and they were simply short staffed. I also had to send back my sandwich, which only came with meat and cheese(leaving off the bacon?). The man next to me sent back a salad for not having(or having?) cheese. It just felt like forever from the time we walked in to when we actually received the correct orders. They were corrected courteously, and the food was delicious, though. I just shudder to think of how this place operates during a workweek lunch…

This bakery is full of great food options, from sandwiches, to pastries, to cakes, to salads and whatever you may be craving. I tried their Cali Panini and oh my was I surprised. You know how much I love artichokes so this was perfect for me. You wouldn’t think it would go well but you have to try this sandwich it was perfect. It had melted cheese w squash and other ingredients. Take my word for it. it’s so good it will leave you wanting to come back. They also have a great variety of pastries and coffee drinks which is great if you need a pick me up after a long day. Great location around the Memorial area, friendly staff and plenty of seating inside.
