Fabulous place for lunch with a group of friends. First of all — if you desire the taste of Europe, this is your spot, can feel romantic or casual. 1) Food is delicious, great variety of sweet & savory crepes 2) Crepes are of a very high quality and you can see how they are made pretty much right in front of you 3) Located in the heart of midtown, so other most popular bars are nearby(walking distance) 4) They have outside seating which would be great for cooler months and smaller inside area. 5) Definitely coming back and bringing all of my friends! P. S. Meditarenian crêpe is a must to try if you enjoy savory foods, it tastes like a marriage of pizza & pasta. ;)

It’s a cool little place with a shady patio, but service is incredibly lacking. I came in with some luggages because I had been traveling but am only staying in town for several hours. When I first came in, the two girls stared at me and we made eye contact for 30 seconds without them saying anything. It made me so uncomfortable. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to sit down, or order at the front. Then I ordered and told the person that I will be staying for a little while, but she just gave me an awkward, uninviting chuckle. On top of that she gave me the wrong change. When I corrected her, she just handed the correct change without an apology.(I still tipped them, what was I thinking?) Honestly, with an atmosphere like this, how could one still swallow their food for pleasure? Honestly, the food could easily be replicated with the right ingredients. Not that special. I’ve been a server my whole life, and I understand what customer service is. I honestly don’t ask for much, but I’ve never felt so uncomfortable and bothered as a customer. For a place to receive this many stars, they should at least try to match their service with their rating.

Are you a fan of crepes? This awesome place is yours. I have definitely never seen so wide variety of crepes in all my life in Houston. Different kinds for different tastes. My favorite one is Nutella! Not only the crepes, but also the drinks at this place are cool. Highly recommend Coco Crepes to everyone! Hands down!

I love the crepes, the price, the location. But I can’t help but agree with others reviews that employees could give more attention to customers. Maybe if they had a challenge, a competitor, that will wake them up.

When I came here, I hadn’t read any reviews yet, but I didn’t have any problems with the service. I came about an hour before closing on a Monday night and we got our orders pretty fast, as you would expect. S’MORESCREPE: I think this had chocolate chips, graham cracker crumbs, and melted marshmallows inside with powdered sugar, chocolate drizzle, and two lightly toasted marshmallows on top, it was a little hard to tell because of how messy it got. Now, I love s’mores/s’mores flavored foods as much as the next person, but oh wow did this have a lot of chocolate. There was chocolate syrup all over the outside and chocolate chips stuffed inside. It was too much for one girl to take. I had to drink a whole bottle of water just so that I could actually finish it. That’s not to say it wasn’t good, just be ready for chocolate overload if you decide to get this. COCO’S CREPE: this was a nice basic crêpe. It was filled with strawberries and topped with powdered sugar, chocolate drizzle, and whipped cream. It’s everything you would typically want in a crêpe.

This place, CoCos on Grey & Baldwin, amidst the hustle-bustle of downtown, this place is just CHILL…“kickback” music piped thru the overhead P.A., awesome gourmet coffee, & treats, and unlike Starbucks locations nearby, you’re NEVER hounded by the roving panhandlers(begging-for-your-change«panhandlers» looking to score crack cocaine from Texaco near Greyhound’ begging for yr Visa #, etc, whatever/etc…), because CoCos owner Dave apparently actually gives a damn about his customers experience? This place exudes class, and owner Dave is a thoroughly nice guy, with professional & classy eye-candy waitresses here also… the most reminiscent block in my view in Houston of NYC’s Manhattan, in class & appeal… (Don’t think ALL my reviews are good, either, as I just«ripped» the bike shop near Westheimer & Taft last week, for being arrogant &TOTALLY fraudulent…) — James ‘Bolio’ Hedrick

I want to like this place, but the people that work here do not try at all to show a good face to the customer. They never seem happy nor do they appreciate the $ 8 you spend on their crepes. Food is good, people and service are terrible. Word to the owner, find someone new to work the cash register. Ill keep coming, but she is putting a terrible face on your business.

I love coming here for crepes… This place is always full. If you can manage to catch a nice day or night when it’s not raining its fun to sit outside and people watch. You can also have a glass of wine or cup of coffee if crepes are not your thing. The reason for the three stars is probably because of the service. Every single time I have been in here we get the same person on the register(lady with glasses) and she seems a bit unhappy which messes up my vibe of wanting a crêpe. It makes me feel pressured to hurry up and order because I’m bothering her by being there. The rest of the staff always seems really friendly which is what balances the place out. Overall I think the place has managed to create a great reputation for the crepes the atmosphere and the quality are pretty consistent.

This is where magic happens! All the crepes I’ve ever ordered are the BEST I’ve had.(So far.) The Italian Cream Sodas are so yummy and I don’t know where else to get any but ohhh they are my favorite! The other desserts are pretty good as well the only thing that’s ever been bad was a tomato soup thing. That. Now that was gross. Oh but how I LOVE coming here. Prices are pretty good not extremely cheap but not too much. Good enough for the average college student. The friendly staff and clean restrooms is also another plus. 5⁄5 for sure!

This is definitely my go-to place for delicious crepes, for both dessert or a meal. First of all, I love the location since it’s a great part of town where young professionals tend to live and hang out. I also like the available garage parking in the area which is useful if you do not want to parallel park. I’ve been here plenty of times, and I was always satisfied each time. The savory crepes are quite large(larger than one would think?) and can fill you up for lunch. The last time I went I ordered the Breakfast Crêpe, blueberry doughnut, and the Tomato Bisque. The Breakfast Crêpe filled me up and it was basically a traditional«eggs, sausage, and cheese» omelet in crêpe-form. The Tomato Bisque is also delicious and it’s quite rich and very thick and creamy. The blueberry doughnut was also great — not too sweet and was hot and soft. If you are not craving a crêpe, they also have some paninis, waffles, gelato, and sorbet. The variety is awesome! Highly recommended!

Sunday’s at Coco’s are my favorite. I live right down the street and really enjoy my walk over for crepes and coffee. My absolute favorite is the bananas foster! If you like the classic dessert, then you will love this crêpe topped with whip cream and vanilla gelato. It really satisfies my sweet tooth. As far as savory crepes, my boyfriend always get the Mediterranean sausage, and it is also delicious! The staff is always friendly and quick. You can even see them make it right through the glass window. I usually get water or the caramel crisp coffee, it’s basically a caramel macchiato and has a great flavor.

The coffee is ok. I don’t like styrofoam cups for coffee especially when I say I want to dine here. As far as the dining, I asked what was the most popular sandwich. She said chicken and spinach with mozzarella. I did not read anything about mayonnaise on the sandwich or I would asked for something else or Change it. I mean really, mayonnaise with that combination? It’s really a Margarita pizza, on bread and when you put mayonnaise on it, it’s just gross! The flavor combo was not good. The lady was nice and helpful but the sandwich was sad. And that’s the most Popular? That hurts my brain.

There’s a reason I definitely favor another Houston crêpe counterpart over Coco’s. I usually go here purely because of location convenience. And every time I go to Coco’s, the outcome is always meh. Service is consistently lacking. They’re usually slow to get orders out and something always goes wrong with my order, whether it’s giving me the wrong crêpe or missing an extra item that I ordered. Foodwise, I think the quality and ingredients are okay. When I’m craving for a crêpe or gelato, it does the job but it is certainly not my favorite crêpe place in the city.

You can get an espresso cappuccino or Friday which is my farapi which is espresso and gelato mixed together!! oh my goodness, caramel is my favorite but there are plenty of other flavors too choose from also one of my favorite crepes is the salmon with cream cheese onions and tomatoes, slap your mama delicious! You can sit outside or inside perfect place to study! The staff has a bubbly fun personalities, that rub off on you when you leave definitely leave with a smile on your face! CoCos is definitely a go-to spot. The service is great, the ladies who work here are super friendly and bi-lingual(spanish). I’ve tried their cold brew and latte. The cold brew is pretty chronic(yes, I said chronic), seriously — this stuff will have you wired… The latte is a bit too much milk for me but if you like it wet, then its tasty enough. Coffee is from a good roaster — forget the name, but will be back for a review on the crepes. They have crêpe specials which are intriguing(I think the Moroccan sausage is there now). so be sure to try it. Ambiance is great. Go check them out!

The girl cashier with glasses is always on her phone and she is clueless. I have ordered Crème Brulee with no chocolate sauce but instead I want caramel… she tells me «NO you can’t do it, it is better the way it is.» I had to argue with this girl that I have always done this. And when my food comes out she overload it with caramel. The cook saw I was not having it and she made me another one with no problem. Overall love this place.

Who knew!!! This place is so cool and the crepes are delicious. They have free wifi and window seats for people watchers like me. The staff is friendly and I enjoyed my Coco Crêpe(#7). It’s a chilly evening so I got a cup of coffee too. They serve Katz coffee, which is a plus. I can’t wait to come back when it’s warmer and try the gelato. There’s also an outdoor patio for when the weather is warmer, but for now I’ve grabbed a seat near the bar where I can watch them make the crepes right next to me. Pretty cool!

This place is meh. I’ve heard great things about Coco’s crepes but I guess everyone’s talking about the other location. I think my favorite part is that the location is tucked in a very cute part of town near the«before I die…» wall and such, but that’s it. The food and service were mediocre. The girl at the counter looked extremely bored. My friend and I were craving smoothies to go along with our crepes but the smoothies had like NOSUGAR what so ever. It tasted like straight ice with a hint of fruit. After the girl made our smoothies I noticed on the menu that when customers order custom smoothies they have a choice on ingredients like milk/juice or yogurt to be put in it. The girl didn’t even bother to ask. If you’re going to order a smoothie make sure to be specific because they obv don’t know how to make simple smoothies. Ok whatever. Then they managed to knock over a giant jug of Nutella onto the griddle thing and the plastic started melting. This could’ve easily been avoided if they weren’t standing around being inattentive and looking unbothered. Our crepes were okay. I had pretty high expectations that weren’t met. Wouldn’t come back to this location.

Perfect crepes! With a huge craving for crepes I indulged in a savory La Gallette and a sweet Raspberry crêpe. Both were incredibly scrumptious and satiated my craving perfectly. I was impressed with how fresh the mushrooms, spinach, raspberries and strawberries were and neither was too salty or too sweet. Just my style :-)

Cute little café in midtown. My friends were looking for a place to grab a dessert after going to discovery green. Place and it’s surroundings are nice. Parallel parking outside. Staff wasn’t bad, nice ladies actually. Not too shabby at all. Both the sweet and savory crepes were on point. I really enjoyed my breakfast crêpe. Coffee was good, too. Although, the 16 oz is HUGE. At least when you’re getting it «for here.» The mug seemed really big. But I drank it all anyway because I’m a degenerate coffee addict. I sipped it all down even after my hand started twitching then scooped up the coffee sludge with my finger and rubbed it on my gums. Addiction, baby!

Mediocre compared to the rice village location. The employees are hella cool but I got the Roasted almond Nutella crepes with strawberries and banana with vanilla gelato on top and it lacked Nutella which made it very dry and it didn’t even have powdered sugar sprinkled and chocolate syrup which I had to go up and ask for to be done. I don’t like it when I know more about how the food should be cooked than the chef themselves. I tipped well and even before that the cashier was a really cool guy and knew the menu inside out.

To be honest, we are pretty disappointed with the shop. The lady who was taking orders was the least bit interested. When I asked her if there was any coffee with gelato(my favorite), she said no. But moments later I noticed one on the menu and then she said«Oh yes, I forgot»! She also didn’t seem particularly interested in suggesting things and describing the dishes. When I asked her to warm up the brownie, she said«We serve it cold». In this age of microwave ovens, that doesn’t even count as an excuse. Coming to the food, the brownie was ordinary, crème brûlée crêpe was overflowing with strawberries and hardly much crème brûlée. The saving grace was the Moroccan sausage panini, the only thing that might induce us to give the shop one more chance.

Didn’t put my order in so I had to wait extra long. The crêpe presentation is horrible. I asked if I could get whip and the worker said it would be $ 1. If i’m in midtown, this is the place I am going to no matter what! The crepes are sooo good! The service is alright, but the good crepes make up for it. It is always crowded and busy so if you do decide to go to crepes I suggest you take the first seat you see available since it is better than nothing. If it’s your first time I recommend the Nutella crêpe with strawberries, that is my favorite.

Bananas with warm caramel topped with a nice scoop of vanilla gelato makes the perfect combination for a super yummy sweet crêpe. Each and every bite brings heaven to your mouth. I usually go here when ever I crave me some sweet Crepes. I have tried their chicken and spinach but I wouldn’t order it again. I guess for me Crepes are meant to be sweet. Oh their gelato/ice creams are awesome too. They don’t have much seating inside but when weather permits outside seating is awesome. They are open late so good place to hangout during weekends. Ooh forgot to mention here the coffee is good but don’t order anything with flavor coz mostly they use bottled syrups(like most places I guess). Four stars mostly for their sweet Crepes. Service wise please don’t expect much just go here if you have a sweet tooth like me.

CoCo Crepes is a pretty cute little café in Midtown. Parking is pretty easy here since there is a garage nearby and street parking. Other positive aspects are the free wifi and the delicious coffee. On this particular visit, I had the nutella crêpe here, and it was so tasty. The crêpe was perfectly sweet and soft with generous amounts of nutella. I’m already looking forward to trying the savory crepes in the future!

I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews, but I could not make myself finish the crepes here. I tried the chicken/spinach and Moroccan sausage. The texture is way too thick, and it almost feels like your eating a soggy tortilla. The sauce that they use also doesn’t look very appealing. Maybe the sweet crepes are better, but I don’t think I would gamble on this place again.

Ayyyyy I’m in love with a CoCo… Hahahaha cheesy and only a few will get it. But anyways, I came here after dinner around 9:45 ish. We came a bit on time before they has to close up shop. Parking is very limited. I mean, it is midtown. So street parking is always difficult. There is garage parking and I think it’s free after a certain time. From what I can remember, my friend and I came pretty late, so we parked for free in the garage. The store itself is pretty small with a couple tables inside and plenty of seating on the outside patio. Occasionally if the weather is good to us Houstonians, I’ll sit outside to enjoy the weather. When I looked at the menu, I scanned all the flavors and immediately stopped at cheesecake crêpe. YUUUMMMMM! And to top it off, I got it with strawberries. It was so good! You can also see them make it inside as well. Cool stuff. Staff is very friendly and they bring out the food to you with smiles.

The cocos crêpe, raspberry crêpe, & ever popular hazelnut crêpe are amazing! I’ve had a couple others the past couple years and these are the best. The Nutella is my fave, sometimes if I’m feeling like fruit, I’ll add in bananas, or strawberries inside. If I want a raspberry favor I ask for raspberries on top which are previously frozen and it looks like a chunky raspberry sauce on top! Awesome if u really like raspberries. It makes the crêpe soggy, but I love it! The chocolate and raspberry is such an amazing combo. The caramel crisp latte is to die for and they make all their caffeine drink decaf! What?! Hell yeah cause I hit this place up for midnight cravings! The cortado drink is a strong Moroccan drink and is super delish also! Byob. Great, fun atmosphere and good music! I would definitely bring someone I like here! Oh and they started selling proseco and champagne! And some beautiful angel placed OJ next to their cute mini bottle of bubbly in the display case and it made me make mimosas on a Thursday at 3pm. Hell yeah!

It’s always sad to update a review with a worse one. But after many years, coming back and eating here, it just wasn’t the same. The crepes were thicker — I think the crêpe stove is hotter than they used to make it to speed up the orders, but as a result the crepes don’t taste as good. It’s kind of chewy and eggy. Also, the attitude of the workers here is ridiculous. Worthy of miss congeniality’s Sandra Bullock except less endearing. Anyway, just kind of disappointing.

Woke up this morning craving crepes so I grabbed my girlfriend and headed out for Coco’s. We were there in no time and street parking was readily available. Casual atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating available. Service was attentive and food came out quick! Today I was craving sweet crepes so I ordered the #1, #7 and #10 off the sweet side of the menu. #7 was underwhelming but my gf took the honors of killing it. #1 was the pb&j which I loved and #10 sweet crêpe was just AMAZING… Overall a pleasant experience… will be coming back for a savory crêpe kick later for sure!!!
