Clean Smart

I have gone a couple times now and have been happy with the results. I wish they had a price list that one could refer to before making the decision.
They are always quick with a 2 day turnaround.
They email you a reminder that your item is ready for pickup.
I recently just paid $ 10.21 with tax and environmental fee for a 2 piece suit.

These guys are exceptional.
I called around 10 a.m. to see if I could get 2 suits and shirts cleaned same day for an interview I had the following day. They said they could, and sure enough when I showed up at 5 p.m. they were ready for me. The suits and shirts looked great and the total bill came out to be less than $ 30 for 2 jackets, 2 pairs of pants, and 2 shirts.
The owner was great too — my car battery had died after I dropped my garments off and he came out to help me jump my car when he saw me getting my cables out. I didn’t even have to ask or get anyone’s attention!
Excellent, economical establishment, stuck to their word in getting my garments done same day, and above and beyond service to boot.

I was torn how I should rate this company. I went there for the first time to dry clean my boyfriend’s work clothes and when I went to pick up my clothes 3 days later they told me that the shirt was damaged in the machine and there was a huge rip all the way down the side. However, the owner went out and purchased a new shirt from Brooks Brothers for us within 48 hours to replace the shirt that was damaged. I think this is wonderful customer service and I really appreciate their efforts. That being said, I would not bring one of my dresses or any item of clothing that cannot be replaced to this place for dry cleaning.

You know I usually do not write Unilocal reviews but I decided to make an exception. Originally I was very satisfied with the service since it was a quick turnaround and seemed like this business had good reviews. The next day I decide to wear one of the pants I just got dry cleaned and I got two massive rashes on the sides of my lower legs. Not sure why this happened since I am usually not allergic to anything and I have gotten these pants cleaned at other places. When I approached the business regarding the issue — they were hesitant to give me a decision till they spoke to the owner. Finally, I met with the owner and he said that he did not understand why this had happened when all the products he uses are «eco friendly” — which is perfectly fine but that does not mean people won’t have an allergic reaction to it. When I asked for some form of credit because overall I was willing to overlook my rashes (see picture) if they were willing to make me feel satisfied — offer some form of credit for next time since I did spend over $ 100 on my originally bill. But the owner refused. Hence my review.

I had a pair of dress pants and a dress shirt that needed to be cleaned and picked up the next morning. The person at the front double checked and sure enough I get there at 10am the next morning and they’re ready. Awesome.

I gave this place a try after reading all of the great Unilocal reviews. I will have to say that was disappointed. As a general rule of thumb, all dry cleaners are pretty much the same and take the garments to same places to be dry cleaned. Thus the actual cleaning itself was fine, as always with most cleaners. My concerns were as follows:
I had read several reviews stating that this place was very reasonably priced, this was not my experience. I took four items to the dry cleaners, three shirts and one blazer for a grand total of $ 16. That is an average of four dollars per piece which is very very pricey in my book.
The cleaners was located somewhere with ample parking which was a plus, but it did tend to be a bit busy. One thing that I found useful is that they email you when your clothes are ready and are typically good about getting them done in a very timely manner. However the quality of the service was similar to places where I have paid at quarter of that price. I feel that overall you’re paying for the location which is located right on Washington Avenue. Nothing spectacular and certainly not worth the price.

After discovering Clean Smart, I will not go anywhere else! They have a pretty quick turn around, notify you when garments are ready to pick up via email and are all around courteous. They also do a great job of reviving some of my delicate blouses that have seen better days.

Great job on the dry cleaning! BUT 3 stars because not even 24 hrs after picking up an alteration (simple seam sew up/​repair at the bottom of a zipper on a dress) the hole is back! It’s a swing style dress and not tight, so I can’t imagine how or why this happened!

Although it’s a 15 minute drive, I don’t mind it. They take really good care of garments, unlike places I’ve been to in the past.
I love the little note cards they place letting you know they’ve taken extra care of stains or worn out clothing. On one occasion, they even replaced a button at no extra charge!
I also love that they email you much sooner than the quoted time they give you.
Love them. I don’t recommend any place else.

Always on time, easy to drop off and pick up. Have had zero issues while coming here.

As a supporter of small businesses, I have tried many mom-​and-​pop cleaners throughout Houston, before finally giving up and trying this national chain. I must say, I couldn’t be happier! Despite it’s super convenient location and high number of patrons, I almost never have to wait to drop off or pick up any items. Upon request, they will take special care of cuffs and collars on white dress shirts, press creases wherever needed (including military uniforms), and pay special attention to removing prior stitch marks after alterations or removing patches, etc.
Secondly, their prices are unbeatable in this neighborhood! While this may hurt the profit margin of the small businesses, as a consumer I believe in competitive pricing. And boy, are they competitive! I had 2 business suits and 5 dress shirts cleaned for under $ 20. And on top of that, their standard turnaround is only 2 days. Other cleaners would charge an additional fee for such a quick turnaround.
Lastly, the staff is always friendly and attentive to my requests. It also doesn’t hurt that they have several bowls full of my favorite candies on the counters. I will certainly be a repeat customer.

Clean Smart always took out stains that I pointed out, and occasionally pointed out and took out ones that I didn’t even notice. They’ve always followed my request, and do a consistently good job. Detail oriented, follows instructions, and performs consistently well at a reasonable price. What else do you want?

If you have a classic 9 – 5 job, it’s inevitable you have dry-​clean only clothing. I try not to stank up my clothing too much, but when they need cleaning, I bring them to Clean Smart.
The service is rather quick, and they do a good job. I once had a same-​day turnaround time which surprised me. All my suits look brand new and my dresses fresh. They even press all the belted fabrics and hang them separately.
I wish Clean Smart opened on Sundays. I once forgot that fact and did not get a chance to pack some clothing I wanted to take on a trip. Other than that, I have recommended Clean Smart to friends in the area, especially my 9 – 5’ers.

Quick, clean, friendly. Automated process with legitimate receipts. Brought clothes after work yesterday and received them next day at 5pm. What more can you ask for in a cleaning service. 4 stars is fair.

…But seriously, having never owned anything nice enough to bother dry cleaning prior to graduating college, I hadn’t set foot inside a dry cleaner since I was eight and they were giving out those lollipops with the little cardboard loops on the bottom (anybody? anybody?).
I dropped off three suits and a dress at 8 am, and by 4pm I received an email notifying me that they were ready for pickup. Pickup and dropoff was painless and quick. My white dress came back spotless — proof that the dry cleaner did not just stick a plastic cover on it and spray it with Febreze! And the suits… seemed cleaner.
I paid $ 9 per suit, $ 7 per dress. I got the pricing up front and it was honored.

Total scam, stay away .
I took my sheep wool rug to be cleaned long time ago and they charged me $ 60. I took the same one yesterday and they asked for $ 130 ??? After I told them that it’s more than double what you charged me before, they made up a story that the first time it was a «new customer» discount .
Finally I told them you just made this shit up and I am never coming back again. Shady people with no prices list.

I have been coming to this convenient drycleaners for a while, and I have been very pleased with the service. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I have never had a complaint with how my clothes turned out.
When you drop something off it is always ready by 3PM the next day. They even text you when things are ready, and sometimes things are ready early. I have always been very pleased with how my garments came back to me.
The prices are reasonable, and while the parking lot is a busy one there is always ample parking. The even have free coffee if you are so inclined.

I brought in my nicole miller wedding dress for dry cleaning and minor sewing (some of the seams were coming apart). It only cost me like $ 11 or $ 12 doll hairs ;)

I docked a star bc they told me it would probably take about a week but they would call and let me know when it was done. They never called :(so i called 3 weeks after bc thats when I actually realized it had been 3 weeks lol

These guys have done a great job cleaning clothes for me. They call when complete &/​or send email to phone to remind you as well. Cleaned and pressed a suit for me on short notice. Also held up closing to pick up said suit because I got caught in traffic. Prices are quite reasonable as well.
My previous cleaner had misplaced some of my items a couple times, and their prices kept increasing. So when I needed a morning dropoff for a rush job, they did great and I haven’t gone back to the old place.

I’ve taken multiple items to Clean Smart and each time has been a breeze! The people working there are friendly, helpful and they happily get you in and out the door so you can continue on with your day. I called them for a quote on a comforter and ended up paying less!
They do have same day service if you bring in your items early enough and sometimes they will notify you via phone/​email. They will continue to get my business!
