Circa Lighting

I had a negative experience with Circa Lighting in Houston and feel I should share it with prospective buyers. I went to Circa to get large gas lanterns for the front of my house. They handed me a catalog from which I was to choose. The lanterns were to be custom made and about $ 2,500 each, but we decided to splurge and ordered two, to be made exactly as shown in the catalog. The vendor required full payment up front.
Three months later, the lanterns came — in the wrong color. I complained to Circa, fully expecting that they would be horrified and proposing solutions. A day later, they emailed me to say that the lanterns are the RIGHT COLOR. What? That would be like saying red and black are the same color — they are just NOT. They also said that the manufacturer offered to refinish the items — to the color shown in the catalog that I ordered in the first place — IF I ship them at my own expense, over $ 1,000. Through all this the people at Circa acted like none of this was their problem and I should not be bothering them with it. I found Circa to be totally unhelpful, unprofessional and unwilling to stand by the product they sell. I am certainly never going back.
