This is an alright option if you [a] have a lot of time to kill. [b] don’t want your smartphone to receive service for an extended period of time, [c] you want to wait in line for a long long time, [d] then sit at a dirty table(they all are — no worries!), [e] then wait a long long time at your table for food. So yeah, that is their idea of a perfect customer — someone willing to put up with allllllllllllllllllll of that. The food carries a price tag that is somewhat shocking for what you actually receive — derivative of the stuff you find at the airport where you sincerely cannot do any better for yourself and you become resigned to pay the troll toll just to eat food right then and there. But unlike at the airport where you get your food out from a heat lamp and start going to town on it with pepperoni flying everywhere, here you just have more of a wait for your food after you have already endured the long long line to order. Wendy’s: quicker, but less friendly employees(hey, sometimes the little things do matter) and you don’t lose smartphone network coverage McAlister’s: same price, much better food quality at McAlister’s and you don’t lose smartphone network coverage Murphy’s: quicker, quieter space if you need to work/study and you don’t lose smartphone network coverage

I’m not sure if you can even call this a chili’s. I’ve been twice and it hasn’t changed. You order upfront from a very limited menu and sit down with a number. The food itself is very sub par compared to a regular chilies. I previously ordered a chicken sandwich. The sandwich itself was quite greasy and sloppily put together. The vegetables included tasted how it looked, bad. They looked like were cooked in a microwave… If your looking for a place to eat on campus, try mcalisters or something else.

My first experience at «Chili’s Too» was the original in the LAX airport in Los Angeles. Pretty much stand up order at the counter food where no tip is required, which is nice. But… The food. I knew better but friends wanted to go here and I, being a compliant sympathetic at times when people seem to think they know better, went along. I spent more money on water for the rest of the day, trying to wash all of this massive load of sodium out of my body. For the love of the sweet little virgin mother of jesus, how much salt can be added to food? Please do not keep supporting this insanity. I don’t want to see more Chili’s Too’s anymore than I want to see a TGI Fridays Too or an Applebees Too. Please.

Chili’s Too is located at the University Center on the campus of the University of Houston. There’s no waiter service, so there’s no need to leave tips. The menu is taken straight from the regular Chili’s Bar & Grill menu, but is more limited. There is also a bar there, but it’s mainly margaritas and beer. Overall, it’s a good alternative to the fast food that’s abundantly located around campus, and isn’t much more expensive. The UC Games Room is across the way, so it’s nice to head there with friends, have a few beers, and shoot some pool or something. The hours were probably some of the most convenient on-campus, as it was usually always open when most other places to eat around campus are closed. Thus, it was great for residents, but now it’s practically always closed. I walked by the other day, and noted a sign on the door that claimed they were closing for good this month(May 2011). For some reason it says that there will be a Taco Cabana opening in August 2012 at the newly-built Robertson Stadium Parking Garage…
