Trivia on Monday nights at 8pm is a blast! Third place winners get free shots! Fun and welcoming crowd of regulars, food is sufficient enough but wouldn’t go for a true Mediterranean experience.

My husband and I stopped in on a whim. We read a couple of reviews while sitting in the parking lot. I was initially reluctant because we are not your basic hookah-bar types. I think that is outside. We never saw it. We just wanted a casual dinner. We were not disappointed! Our waiter had great suggestions. We started with pita and a cheese mixture — I forgot the name — but it included feta. We ordered Moscow Mules and split a Pastitsio dinner. Everything was delicious! We would definitely go back!

It is hard to beat the laid back bar, good drink specials and open patio. For the weekend, it is a great place to start with dinner and drinks or a great place for the last drink before turning in. This is a great place to have long conversations with friends.

I ordered takeout in the Unilocal app and it worked! My vegetarian platter was ready and paid for when I picked it up. The spanakopita and feta bites were amazing, the vegetables were fresh, and the dolmas were superb. I’m in Houston for a conference and this solved my problem of being tired, in a strange city, and not wanting to eat near the conference hotel.

Horribly overpriced and tasteless and badly cooked food accompanied by extremely rude and obnoxious and notorious staff offering the most indecent and impolite customer service ever experienced! Food so stale and uncooked that when you bring it to their notice they say SUE us. Yes in caps again. SUE us! Overhyped place and disappointed with every aspect of it. Been to tons of greek places but the worst amongst the lot.

The atmosphere is very chill and I enjoyed eating outside in the courtyard. The food and hookah are good. However, my waiter wasn’t the best we kept having to re ask for things because he would forget to bring them.

Yum yum yummy! If you love soccer and want a slight feel of Greece, in Houston. You will not be alone! I had the gyro steak plate, quite satisfying for 2 people. P.S: if you do get their coffee it could be a little heavy on the alcohol side. Not that it’s a problem. Just a word of caution maybe Recommended!

The atmosphere was awesome, quiet night outside the patio. There are only basic flavors for hookah and the food was bleh…

My husband and I decided to come by after having a few cocktails to get a nice cup of coffee before we ended our evening. Parking was easy on the side of the business and we almost had the place all to ourselves. There were only two other couples there that evening. We sat outside in the small balcony where we ordered two cups of delicious coffee, a chocolate mousse cake and we also decided to do some Hookah(strawberry Mint combo). It was quiet and our server was very attentive and fast. Only thing I didn’t like was the kitty cat roaming around looking for scraps. They let it roam freely near the tables but I felt it was somewhat unsanitary. Aside from the kitty cat being nosey, our evening ended well with our coffees and dessert. The last few times we were here we had wonderful martinis and other hookah combos. We will return and its a nice hang out spot.

I came here a couple of times late in the night for a quick coffee with a friend. They have a cool and fun atmosphere on both their patio and inside. They have a great selection of coffees and adult drinks as well as a nice menu to choose Greek food from. Great location and easy to find parking.

Byzantio is a quaint spot on the edge of Mid-town that has classic and comforting Greek fare. They have great specials throughout the week and great happy hour deals as well. I often come here after work to meet friends for a quick and delicious dinner. Everything is freshly prepared and house made. You cannot go wrong with the Greek Fondue and Gyro plate. They also have a wide selection of wines and a full bar. It is a welcoming atmosphere and reminds me of pub in Europe, the type of place you want to come and stay a while at.

I found this place through Unilocal and I’m glad we gave it a try. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the owner. He was really nice and made us feel welcome. The hookah was very smooth and clean. Also, the baklava is homemade and delicious. The place has an upscale feel to it compared to other hookah places in Houston. It was quiet and very relaxing. I really enjoyed this place and I will definitely go back. Recommendable!

One of my favorite casual restaurants in town! I’m not crazy about greek food normally but I’m crazy about Byzantio greek food. If you want a true greek experience, this is the place to go! It’s owned by a couple from Greece and they’ve made the entire menu. They even still make some of the items themselves everyday like hummus and baklava(which are both must haves!) I’ve been here too many times to count and tried a few things but my go to items are the chicken soup(winter or summer I LOVE their chicken soup with a squeeze of lemon!), the hummus and kafteri(you won’t find this anywhere else), the gyros and the pizzas. Try your pizza with the kafteri for an extra tasty kick. I also like their frozen drinks which are only $ 3 on the weekends. They have a brunch menu that look delicious but I haven’t ventured out into yet(haven’t been before 3 for it). Also, they have a wonderful coffee list for anyone who really like to mix it up. If you like to smoke hookah, they’ve got a nice patio for that. Basically, they have everything you would need! I’ve studied and worked from here. If you want authentic mom and pop greek food, this is where you need to go!

This is my absolute favorite place in houston. I come every month and I’m always treated the best kindness here. The owner is super friendly and always takes care of his customers. This place was drinks, cheap happy hour, steak night. Belly dancers, and hookah. And OMGTRYTHEBAKLAVA! It is homemade and the best anyone could ever try. You will NOT regret it, trust me.

The food was great, service was eh. But it’s family owned so that’s expected with a very small staff. It’s a large place. The server wasn’t very knowledgeable on beer, he told me that had drafts and IPA’s. They have neither. Which was fine lol but I figured he should know those things. I’ll be back for a healthy lunch after my runs!

Came here with the fam on Friday night hoping for a refreshing and lite meal and strong drink. Between 4 of us we split the veggie sliders, veggie pizza, and veggie platter(we’re all vegetarian if you couldn’t tell). I also got a margarita. My margarita was disgusting. I did ask for it to not be too sweet, but it ended up being straight tequila and so hard to drink with my meal. $ 10 for that yikes. The veggie pizza was my favorite as it was thin crust and«well done» how I like it. Veggie sliders were forgettable. And the veggie platter had all the usuals like dolmas, hummus, and spanakopita. Nothing stood out like crazy, and it was decent. The services was soo awkward. I think our server was new bc when we asked some questions about the menu, he was unsure. My sister in law asked to turn off one of the fans because it was FREEzing inside and he asked if she had OCD. Like wtf. On top of the so-so food and weird service, the prices are way too high for the quality. The veggie platter was $ 16!

I was looking for a place to grab a bit for dinner with a friend one night and Unilocal lead us here. They have a nice sized free private lot, so parking was very simple. The ‘old house’ shell with a cute front porch made it feel very inviting and casual. The interior was very dark with lots of wood and reminded me of a pub really with a big bar. The night we ate there, they also had trivia which gave it even more of a bar like feel. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. She brought us glasses of a crisp Greek white wine which was very refreshing since it was hot as Hades outside. For dinner we shared the Dolmades, Trio Combo Dip and Greek Salad. I enjoyed the grape leaves and really liked the Kafteri dip(fire feta dip). The salad was a typical Greek salad, but very fresh. All the food was fine and I’d eat it again, but I wasn’t blown away by anything here. The feel of it all was very homey and I can see why people would come hang out for hours here. I’d give it a 3.5 stars if I could.
