How can I give less than one star? After eating a chili cheese dog here this afternoon, my 9 year old has vomitted twice and now has diarrhea. He’s miserable and I put all the blame on this hole. Keep your ingredients fresh. If your food is questionable then dispose of it. Don’t guess. I will absolutely tell any one I can to avoid food poisoning at your establishment. My son is in misery. You are horrible.

Good service. Cheeseburger I order was good(typical burger). I would return again. Recommend trying for yourself to see.

I was mourning a break up and my good friend Ally was coming over to hang out and cheer me up and offered to stop for food. Neither if us had heard of burger house but she looked it up and it had pretty good reviews so she stopped there. I had a med rare burger with mushrooms and swiss and it was amazing. I’m finding myself sitting here craving another as I write this. I would definitely recommend this place. The meat was cooked it perfection, juicy and just awesome they didn’t skimp on the toppings or the fries and the price was reasonable. I’ll definitely be a returning customer

I don’t give out 4 and 5 star reviews willy nilly. This place earned it. 4 adults had their lunch special which consisted of a 1⁄3rd pound burger, side, and drink for $ 6 and change. The bun is delicious and is even better than Fuddruckers(which I think is great). It’s baked fresh in their restaraunt. The meat is patty’d fresh each day. It was fresh for sure. I prefer a little more flavor which is why they didn’t get 5 stars. The side options were impressive with very good tater tots(better executed than Sonic), fries were ok(AKA, get the tots), fried mushrooms, jalapeño poppers, and others. The toppings bar was impeccably clean and every single topping was fresh. Nothing tasted like it had sat out at all. There were the usual suspects — lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, jalapenos and a delicious pico de gallo with a kick. They had a house dressing that kinda tasted like big mac sauce along with other condiments to make your burger the way you liked. The place was clean, the food was fresh, and the service was excellent! We will return!

Been there twice and both times they got my order wrong. I’m going there on my lunch break and when I called them to let them know all they can tell me that there is mother they can do. Horrible service. If you want to get food you don’t order than this is they place to go.

Tough decision on how many stars. Three stars for«A-OK» or four stars for«Yay! I’m a fan?» I decided to go with the 3 stars(see last paragraph). This burger joint has several framed western pictures of longhorn cattle and one of John Wayne. It has an open concept and is very clean. There are two tvs. One tv you can watch the midday game shows with sound. The other you can watch the news and all the world troubles. So pick your table based on your tv preference. Restrooms are towards the kitchen to your left and were very clean as well. Where you order is kinda squared off by the register and soda station. Behind all of the counter clutter you will find a young girl busily texting on her cell phone. We walked up to the counter and up popped the young girl. Friendly smile, but that’s about all you’ll get which is all we require. We ordered the lunch special. 1⁄3 burger with a side and drink. They call your number when your order is ready which wasn’t easy since the Asian accent was difficult to understand. There wasn’t a lot of people eating, but when a number was called all of us looked at each other. Funny. Burger House has a fixin’ bar for your burgers. When we were there all the veggies looked fresh. Lettuce was green and fresh, tomatoes were red and not soggy, and the onions were crisp. The flame grilled burger itself tasted pretty good and didn’t have any of the tough gristle some burgers have. The patties are cooked to order and are not stationed under a heat lamp as one poster suggested. The meat did lack flavor, but who needs a lot of spices on a burger? We’re not salt fans, but they do have that and pepper on the table. They also have the asian hot sauce on the fixin’ bar if you want to kick it up. They say the bun is homemade and tasted like it was. We saw one employee in the kitchen slicing the bun in half after taking it off a baking sheet. I love it when they toast the bun and give it a crispy edge. Few places do this. I had the onion rings as a side. Not bad, but not the best I’ve had. My wife had the tater tots and they were good. My daughter had the fried mushrooms and they weren’t worth the money for 6 bland mushrooms with a soggy crust. I decided to change my ranking to four stars. The burger was good, but not the best I’ve had. It’s probably better than most in the area and if we’re heading up that way on Hwy. 6 we’d probably stop here again. The sides? Well, I suggest one stick to the standard fries or the tater tots.

This is the best burger place in town. The cashier is pleasant and workers all do a good job. It seems to be a family business. The burgers rock! They let you dress your burger and i love to add extra pickles, its just awesome. It doesn’t get really busy though. I think because its name is just too plain.

I love the burgers here. I almost always get the 1⁄3 pound with avocado and cheese. You can put whatever kind of fresh toppings on it you want for free. The bun is what tops off the burger for me. It is like a great home made burger with a better bun than I know how to do. The fries kind of suck to me but the tater tots are very good. Some one was complaining about the shrimp on the menu. All I can say is try them. No it is not a pretty restaurant. I am guessing that they put everything they had into the place so they could open it. So it does not bother me at all. If you like Fuddruckers this is a better burger but with crapy fries. BTW a ½ pound burger will kick this 200lb fireman’s ass.

I usually root for the small guy but today the small guy let me down. The Burger House you ask? Well, let’s start by forgiving them. I can forgive them for the awful décor, a John Wayne western style poster next to an ultra modern Audrey Hepburn poster?!? Check! Unfinished chair rail moulding is forgiven, Check! I forgive the farmhouse style chalkboard menu, Check! Gee I even forgive them for having shrimp on the menu, Check. but… with a name like Burger House I’m expecting an all-star patty oozing with juices to blow me away. A patty worthy of competing in the ‘Best of Houston’ category Well, this just wasnt the case and for this, they will not be forgiven. The first word which comes to mind is drab, followed by uninspired, to describe the ½ lb. piece of meat sitting lifelessly atop the just as lifeless bun. For it not the char providing the only oomph to an otherwise boring patty, this burger would be on par with the kind you find drying out beneath a heat lamp at your local truck stop. I give this place 2 Stars! Only because the burger tasted slightly better than the one from my old high school cafeteria.

Looks better than it taste honestly. Got a 1/3lb burger with cheese, mushrooms and avocado. Had lots of mushrooms and avocados where most other burger places lack. The burger patty didn’t have any flavor to me though, very blah. Also got some chili & cheese tater tots which were really good. Staff was really friendly and informative. Might go back to try something different but definitely don’t recommend the burger.

Great atmosphere and staff was very friendly, the pricing was a little high for the quality of food that you get. The food was simply mediocre, and I was still hungry when I left.

Really nice place! Everything is homemade and fresh. The restaurant is owned by Vietnamese people so I think that’s cool considering I myself am Vietnamese. I love their fries! Perfectly friend and seasoned. The wait is a bit long, but be patient because they’re cooking up some mean stuff in there.

Everything from the bread used for the buns(Check out the Wheat Bun!), to the burger patties is excellent! If you are on a low fat kick, try the turkey burger. I have had had turkey burgers all around the world and attempted to make some myself, but nothing competes with the Burger House’s Turkey Burger. It doesn’t have the regular turkey taste. but rather a well seasoned patty that taste like your average burger.

Family owned fast casual burger place. I’ve had the 1⁄3 lb cheeseburger and the grilled chicken salad here as prompted by their signs on their windows convincing me to do so. The burger seems like its from a frozen patty, which i don’t mind and actually prefer because its well cooked/seasoned and stays together; more importantly it wasn’t greasy. The toasted bun is something to rave about because its soft and toasty and i have an easier time believing that is actually homemade. I’d have to feel particularly adventurous to try some of their other menu offerings, but i’ll get to it eventually since i live 5 mins from the place. Other pros: awesome self serve fresh toppings bar for your lettuce, tomatoes, condiments etc. Very fresh salads. Cons: they charge for other kinds of fixings a burger needs like bacon, cheese, chili, grilled onions etc.

I called the Hwy 6 location of «Burger House» near Sugar Land and was told that there was no «online» menu except for the facebook page for the 45 North location which when I looked it up did not have any prices. So I called back to confirm the price and was told that there was a Burger House page on the internet at (they must have looked it up), but once I went there and subscribed to the site to get the«ONE($ 1)» dollar off coupon, it did not print. I called the location to let them know there was something wrong with the website and see if they would honor the coupon anyway, they stated that they’re «not really» affiliated with that website and they don’t accept the coupons anyway. So, as many burger places as there are in Houston, you would think that a small franchise location of a Dallas based company would be more receptive to their customers requests,(apparently not) especially if the companies only claim to fame is there famous«Seasoned Salt»(per the website). I’ve had the burgers at this particular location before and it was convenient but that’s it, but then again McDonald’s or Wendy’s is convenient since they’re right down the street, but I was expecting more from a place which should be trying to establish their businesses name in this area, as they’re certainly not a major franchise like Carl’s Junior, which I have not been to. Forget these guys, when I ask for medium on a burger, I expect«medium» on a burger patty. Not practically raw.

Ok, first off im not too big on hamburgers. More of a burrito guy. But this place, burger house, has some pretty good burgers. The menu is huge with lots of variety and the past two times i came, i sure wasn’t disappointed. I got the ½ burger the first time and the grilled chicken sandwich the second. The bread is freshly made and the meat is cooked just right and tastes really juice and nice. As for the fries, the seasoning is on point and is unique. Quite zesty and thats what i desire. Oh and cant forget about the jalepeno poppers. It is made from really fresh jalapenos and is fried just enough that you get a good taste of the spiciness as well. All in all i havent been disappointed and based off other reviews, the other items on the menu are also tasty. Will give it five stars and try it again whenever im in that area!

I came here over the weekend with some friends, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the freshness of the food. Their menu is quite extensive, but I was surprised to see that you had to pay for add ons and that the prices were quite high in comparison to other places. I ordered a kids meal, which was a ¼ pound burger with fries, and I added Swiss cheese and mushrooms. It was so, SO good! They have an extensive topping bar, and everything was extremely fresh and clean. I was definitely impressed with the House sauce as well, which was a nice combo of different flavors and went really well with the burger. The bun was one of the best I’ve ever had — soft, warm, the absolute perfect texture. The burger was juicy and the toppings were so fresh! Fries were seasoned with a great splash of spices, and everything was visually appealing and delicious. Great service and sweet employees as well, so that’s a plus. I’m not much of a burger eater on the norm, but I’d definitely come back again to try more items on their menu. Yum!
