Called to schedule an appointment but no one answered. Their sign and Unilocal say they are open

First time there. Very low key but, owner Gilbert is great! Been cutting hair since 1963. Been at that location for 28 years. Got the best high and tight! If your in a rush, relax and wait. Gilbert takes his time to please his customers. Hair cut is $ 15. He does take cards but, machine he has doesn’t have tip line. Bring cash for tip… or just bring cash. I will definitely be back!

One of the few places left that does a straight razor shave. Gil is the owner and barber. I actually enjoy the hour it takes to shave and cut my hair. He hasn’t cut me which is a good thing. I feel like a new man after my straight shave. All together it cost me $ 24. Not too bad. Closed Sunday and Monday like any self respected barber.

Awesome service. Gil, the owner and barber, is a true professional. His shop has odd hours(closed Mondays) and he only takes walk ins to my knowledge. I have been looking everywhere for an old fashioned place like this for a long time. Just sit back, enjoy the barber chair small talk, and don’t flinch when the straight razor comes out! Best $ 15 you’ll spend!

Classic style barber shop. My hands were broken so I couldn’t shave myself. What a treat. The owner, Barber has mad skills for a shave. He even slapped after shave on my face old school style. It was like in the movies except he didn’t slice my throat!

When the razor, Sweeney Todd style, comes out to trim the neck you know that you have a seasoned veteran who knows what he’s doing on your hands! The place doesn’t look like somewhere where you would want to get a hair cut but take it from a guy who’s picky about whatever hair is left on his head, this is the oh to place. Don’t be fooled by the shabby old look both the place and the old man have…

I’ve recently been in the market for a traditional, non-pretentious, barbershop experience. That’s exactly what I got here. No fuss, no frills, no snooty receptionist giving you«the look». The place is pretty much a hole in the wall, with the striped and spinning barber shop pole outside. It was pretty empty on a Saturday afternoon, but the chair was comfy, and the barber took his time while I watched tv. I also received a beard trim to compliment my haircut as well. What surprised me the most by my first barbershop experience was that I didn’t see myself in the mirror till I was done, I was turned towards the tv the whole time. But when I did, I felt like a new man. I’ve received haircuts from all types of salons, to the $ 5 Asian places, to the high end celebrity style full service salons and this place is definitely worth the $ 17. I will return in two weeks!

Good place, good haircuts, good price($ 14 for a standard haircut), takes credit cards, not too busy on a Tuesday at lunch, was in and out in thirty minutes. Good, old-fashioned chit-chat while an Arnold Schwarzenegger marathon played on AMC. I’ll go back.

Old school at it’s best. It was a great throwback to what a great haircut should feel like. On top of that he is very skilled. Very refreshing from the«what number do you want question ?» at the cookie cutter saloons. Highly recommended.

Gilbert has been a barber for decades. Haircuts are consistent from visit to visit. An old fashioned shop… nothing fancy.

Oldschool at it’s finest. This tiny barbershop has been here forever and you are transported back in time when you walk in the door. There are three or four chairs, the TV tuned to sports, and a spinning candycane pole by the door. Even an old fashioned hat rack. The owner, and usually only barber, Gil, is slow and methodical. This is his passion. Men who can’t stand salons frequent this place, and it shows. There are no walls of hair care products, just one row of chairs, and a small seating area. Prices are cheap.
