Had one the worst experiences in midtown last night here. In between bar hops my friends and I decided to stop by here for a drink. There was no line and we paid a $ 2 cover. We sat at the bar for 20 minutes on a non-crowded night waiting for drinks. When we were finally served my friend asked for a cup of water for our DD. the bartender said«for her? Two dollars bottled water and regular water.» I could only assume he was talking about our straight friend who was with her boyfriend. After attempting for another 20 minute wait period to get another round of drinks we gave up. The bartenders were not welcoming and did not seem keen on serving us. I don’t believe we were being obnoxious or disrespectful, but looking to find a good drink and some two stepping. I don’t believe that we will be going back to this place again. This was my first time and last time I will ever step foot here.

Hands down the best«G» bar in Houston. Bring your hat and your dancing boots because you’re in for a good time. Great music at a place where everyone is welcome. See Tommy for your mug of Mandarin and Soda. He won’t disappoint. If casual conversation and libation is what you seek look no more. The side bar is just for you. If you’ve wanted to learn to line dance check out the website of dates and times. Frequent dance lesson abound. But caution, drunken line dancing makes for great You Tube video and even greater Facebook posts!

Well where do you go if you are gay cowboy/cowgirl? HERE of course. Also hit the free lessons on Thursdays– line dance at 8:30 and couples at 9:30– can’t beat the free price! Make new friends. Friendly staff, very reasonable priced drinks. DJ with a KILLER music selection– just request your favorite song– and don’t be a butthead– tip your bartenders and DJ! Fun, friendly clientele. Much better than just hanging around those other bars drinking– get your dance on!

I have been going out in Midtown for years, before Midtown was Midtown in fact. usually after stumbling to my friends apartment at 2222 Smith after a late night at Red Door, I would always see good looking men coming in and out of the place next door. A friend had mentioned that it was a gay bar, but it didn’t look like the usual crowd that I would see running around JR’s or South Beach. After being ushered there on Saturday night for a friends birthday party, I came face to face with BRB. I didn’t get there until at least 1130 on Saturday night, but the place was JAMMING with a vast array of men! Lots and lots of MEN! Old, young, hot, not so hot, tall, short, some with strong cologne, rugged, fem, and in all races, backgrounds, and ages. The one thing they all had in common, is that they like country music, and wanted to shake their groove thing. Another thing they had in common is that they liked my scarf, and purse(as I received many compliments!) I loved this place! The place is HUGE inside,(I couldn’t believe how much real estate was back there once I walked in) and has different areas, including a smoking outside area(hence minus the one star) I immediately walked in and was bought a drink(always a good sign) and the bartender proceeded to tell me about their signature and most popular drink which was the TANG. It can be made with Orange soda, Red bull and vodka. The drink is served in a mug with a shot of vodka dropped in. It’s actually quite tasty! Everyone was super friendly, there was line dancing, and 90% of the people in there were well dressed. What more can you ask for for a Saturday night? If I was a gay man, I would without a doubt come check this place out.(if you like country music!)

They owner and staff of this bar could not have been more friendly and accomodating to the conference group that I was with. They allowed a caterer to deliver and set up a full BBQ dinner for us. We even had a line dancing class. The bartenders were great, too. Highly recommended!

My first experience went like this: Me, whispering into girlfriend’s ear, «He’s tooootally into you.» Friend: «Farrah, do you know where we’re at?» «Huh?» I look around to scope out the bar filled with a few men wearing plaid buttonups. «We’re at a gay country bar.» «Oooh.» BRB is a gay country western bar complete with a dance floor, jukebox, multiple bars… they even offer dance classes there on certain nights(see posters on bathroom stalls for details). I’ve had a few memorable moments here, once being asked if my friend Jody and I were a couple, followed by, «are you men?» Same night, different guy, we met a fun fella who bought us a round of drinks, then went on to tell us how he didn’t mind a finger up his bum every now and then. «TMI,» I told him… Good music, laid-back crowd(unless you go on a weekend), cheap beer, somewhat good service – except for the one time the bartender/owner reached into my mom’s purse to grab her water bottle, chunked it into the trashcan and screamed, «no outside bottles!» Ass hole.

A gay country club. And not even a pretty one. The place was empty on Sat night at 11. The wood planks that made up the floor moved when I walked over, almost tripping me. The occupants consisted of gay cowboys and some pretty butchy cowgirls scooting around the dance floor to some old country songs. The outdoor patio looked more like an unkept backyard than somewhere I would want to hang out. And the boys’ bathroom had posters of naked men on the walls. I didn’t see this personally, one guy in our group had to go use the facilities, we told him to be careful lol
