I used to love coming here for lunch after my classes. I frequently ordered the grilled chicken wrap as a healthy and quick snack. The chicken fried rice is so yummy! I’ve had the burgers also and they are very good. The staff is friendly and the woman behind the counter is so sweet and always recognized me from my many visits :)

Great little place in Midtown for a quick bite. The décor isn’t great but that’s ok. The burgers are cheap and tray. They come plain and you add whatever you want at the condiment bar. This isn’t a top of the line place and it’s hot as hell in there but the food is decent and decently priced plus there’s parking right in front of the door. Perfect when parking isn’t too great in Midtown. I’m sure I’ll be back. 2 people can get cheeseburger combos and eat for $ 12

Super sweet workers there that tend to whatever your needs are. Very good cheap food my favorite so far is shrimp fried rice that comes with a cute small side salad and I got a strawberry boba drink and it was so delish and cheaper than any other place that sells boba drinks will come back again to keep exploring the menu because I really liked how they try to get to know you and send you off nicely

I only get ONETHINGHERE! That is the CHICKENFRIEDRICE! That thing is friggin delicious! Everything else is mediocre, but it’ll do since HCC is right down the street. I used to attend HCC campus and come here for the fried rice only. This location mostly caters to those in school, hence its only open during those times. Make sure you call before coming if your driving out. It’s not somewhere you would drive across town for. But if you are around and want some fried rice why not! Inside the lady and her husband are super nice! Siracha and lettuce and pickles available on the side of the place. They also have tapioca, which taste alright! It’s not like Bellaire boba zone or tea house though! So moral of the story is get the CHICKENFRIEDRICE! Okay? Bye!

I drove here to try the beverages, since their name implies sweet drinks! Thus I admit I have not tried their burgers or other entries yet. Apparently I had a complicated order. Peach green tea– I was charged extra because they have a peach slush, a tea drink, but not both together. However, despite my special request, the service was just fine. I did not experience anything crazy or belligerent at all.

The Cost Co. crinkle cut fries and Sysco preformed frozen hamburger patty were not to my liking. How is this place still in business? I guess fools like me that make the mistake of wandering in.

Lady was very friendly. I saw no discrimination. Food is decent, you get what you paid for. I’ll come back, it’s convienant

Me and my friend went here during break from class and it is very close by HCC so that’s a plus. We can just walk down the block. There are some ‘vegan’ choices like what I ordered which was onion rings. I’m not sure if they add eggs or not. Otherwise it would be vegetarian. If you’re trying to avoid the sugar and milk in their drinks then you can go with the appetizers which all I remember are french fries and onion rings. It’s not just boba, there’s hamburgers.

Greasy burgers and fries. Why is it called a boba café if they do not have a variety of boba drinks nor are they good at making the few that they offer? Been there once and never again. Sad.

This is a fast food spot I’ve been to twice when i found myself in the museum district. It’s a nice place located in a shopping plaza right in front of an HCC so there will always be a couple of students. Both times I’ve had the philly cheese steak, and I have to say they didn’t disappoint! It was really tasty(especially the mushrooms mm mm good), What I didn’t find so good were the french fries. They were kind of weird tasting so i decided to stay away from those. I am a big fan of milk tea, but I haven’t had a chance to try it here. People were ok, kind of stand-offish but everyone seemed friendly enough. Will be back when I find myself in this area.

HEYPEOPLETAKEITEASY!!! To be honest, I really like Boba Café. The owners are nice, and the food is pretty good for the price and the location. You got to understand how come is that cheap and the food doesn’t have the quality that other formal and fancy places have. ITIS A FASTFOODRESTURANT! What you expect to get with what you pay! Slush with tapioca is an very asian thing, or I should to say very Taiwanese or Mandarin. the Tapioca ISNOTFISHEGG!!! ! It’s just rice ball! They call it pearl or boba!!!

One of my favorite places to eat after class, their green tea slushy with tapioca seeds are awesome. I’m not a big fan of their burgers but, their Philly cheese steak is really good.

No frills corner joint where you can get fried things(fish, burger, onion rings, eggrolls, chicken nuggets, anything), and oddly enough boba tea. I have no opinion on fried food, but the prices were cheap so I suspect its like fast food. Sigh. For my boba I got honeydew w/tapioca. There seemed to be some honeydew in it, but there was obviously syrup/sugar added. It honestly reminded me of a movie theatre Icee. I drank about maybe half of it before I was thouroughly meh’d and threw it out. Ambiance: None. Like I said, no frills. This never factors into my score though. Parking: Usual Midtown scene. No problem during lunch. Maybe more diffilcult during evening. Price: $ 3.40 for the tea. Cheapest I’ve found. Summary: It’s edible, but I wouldn’t bother going again especially considering the other dining options around.

So myself and friend were on our way to Tacos A Go Go [per usual] and we spotted it: Hamburgers, Shrimps & Slush sitting so unassuming as the end cap of an old Midtownish strip center. We’re culinary adventurers so we u-turned it and got rockstar parking. I did not regret it. It’s about the full experience — this is not a fine dining experience. This is cheap [how’d I end up at $ 10], fast, Asian restaurant with your choice of Burgers [veggie, cheese, bacon, chicken], shrimp, fish and various and asundy sammiches. I had the bacon, cheese burger & onion rings. Deep six the onion rings … my colleague had the tots. Go for the tots for sure. My burger was GINORMOUS! It sent me into a food coma. And, of course, they has all the essential condiments; Sriracha. Now for the Boba [aka slush]. Its not real fruit [or maybe it’s frozen with a lil’ imitation added in], but it was mighty, tasty. I even gobbled up those little fish eggs with a giggle. p. s. what is tapioca, exactly? OVerall, for those of us trying to find an alternative to the daily Tacos A Go Go, I like me some Boba Café & I will return but I will also continue my culinary adventures thru that shady area between Midtown and Museum District.
