I almost gave up on Galveston real estate company. Coming from The Bay Area in California, my expectation of what a real estate agency should do was not met by most of the local real estate agency in Galveston. Their terrible practices are many. They often use the cloak and dagger tactic, post photo and listing of one property that is no longer on the market, then show you something else. Not returning call or email promptly. Replied to request with two different and contradicting responses. Agents are pushy and not sincere. Websites are not updated regularly and often posted unavailable property and difficult to use.
And then I met Dee of Better Garden and Home and browsed through BHG Gary Greene web site. What a relief and a pleasure. Their website is current and easy to use. The agent responses promptly and knows the properties. BHG Gary Greene makes me want to buy a property and more so they make me want to work with them. My advice to anyone coming to Galveston, stop wasting your time and AVOID all the other local real estate agencies. Go directly to any agent at BHG Gary Greene. She was incredibly flexible with her time, meeting with us the very next day so we could view the property, being very supportive while we pulled strings to procure the funding we needed, keeping us on track with dates and appointments through consistent communication, and getting us to closing in the right time frame. She was remarkably friendly, not pushy, and invaluably helpful throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend this branch and her services specifically to anyone in the market for buying or selling in this area.
