You get a tiny ass scoop of ice cream for $ 4.50? Nah, fam. Just go to heb and grab a full pint.

Ice cream was tasty, but service was not there… There was a sign that said«2 samples for each item purchased», and after my 2nd sample, the scooper proceeded to tell me «You know you can only get 2 samples right?» I thought that was really annoying. The samples were also really tiny. But besides that, I enjoyed my cone, but only because it was free for my birthday! Otherwise, I think you can get much better ice cream for that price.

I would steer clear of this place. In a recent visit my wife ordered a small and got a nano(poor portion size). The other person who handled my order missed the mark entirely. I ordered an ice cream cone and a I dough I dough, only to get a different come & vanilla ice cream. Not that complicated folks. With so many other great choices around(I.e. Amy’s etc). I would get better ice cream, better portions, & better service else where.

Because I want to spend 6 dollars on frezer-burned ice-cream when you can get a pint for 7. If you want good icecream, to enjoy with a friend go to anywhere else, just not here. blech.

Honestly I’m not sure why this place only has one $ because I got a TINY scoop of ice cream and it cost $ 5 — that is much more deserving of three $$$ signs if you ask me! You could buy one of those pint jars of Ben & Jerry’s at the store for that much — and the flavors are exactly the same, so there’s no reason why you should go here and pay exponentially more for just a tiny cup full. It’s not even a good place to hang out — the patio is nice but most of the outdoor seating is right up next to the cars in the parking lot, and the inside is tiny with awkwardly placed tables so you wouldn’t really want to sit in there to eat your ice cream. The ice cream itself is admittedly really good and the flavors are super unique, which is why I’m giving it a full 3 stars. But the price for what you get is enough to frustrate me to not come back. I love ice cream — slightly ashamed to admit it but I probably eat about a tub a week — so I’ve been to a lot of the ice cream places in Houston and the only reason I’d come back to Ben & Jerry’s is for the free cone day.

After years of not coming to eat here, I must say I was really disappointed by my last experience. The store itself I would say is generally welcoming and clean, and the service was average. What really bothered me was the lackluster ice cream and the portions. I ordered one scoop of Phish Food in a plain waffle cone. As soon as the cone was handed to me, I could see the scoop of ice cream sink deeper into the cone. You can imagine my disappointment. There was about a centimeter of cone that could be seen after the ice cream had settled. I think for the price($ 4.60 + $ 1.00 for the cone) I expected so much more.

The ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s the shop, tastes pretty much like normal Ben and Jerry’s bought at your local supermarket. I’m a fan of their ice cream and I know there’s novelty in seeing your ice cream scooped into a fresh waffle cone, but I wouldn’t pay so much for such a small difference. Save your money and buy a carton at the grocery store!

The ice cream here is amazing but honestly, it is pricy for what you get.($ 4+ for a tiny cone) So many different flavorzzzzz. I would recommend just going to a store and sharing a pint with someone!

Free cone day y’all! One scoop of your favorite flavor on national ice cream day, thank you Ben & Jerry’s. I’ve always been a fan of the variety and interesting combinations Ben & Jerry’s offers even though I prefer Amy’s Ice Cream or Cloud 10 Creamery. Pros of free cone day: free ice cream duh, add another scoop for only $ 1, free ice cream… need I say more? Cons of free cone day: 15 minute wait around 2 P.M., ice cream came in shitty cones like you get from McDonald’s instead of waffle cones, the amount of ice cream is less than I expected. But hey, it’s free ice cream! Let the kid in you out and make your way over.

I love Ben & Jerry’s! I had the coconut seven layer bar flavor and it was amazing. They had free cone day yesterday and the place was packed but the line moved quickly. The workers are nice and the place is great. I love all their flavors!

I should start this off by saying that it was free cone day and that’s what led me to Ben & Jerry’s in the first place. Even for free I was not that impressed with the ice cream. Maybe it was the cheap cone or small scoop, but I think that i’m just not a big fan of their ice cream.

My friends and I came here on free cone day. It was really exciting and there was a line out the door. Definitely worth the wait. I would recommend people come here every year on free cone day and regularly on non-free cone days. It’s just your basic cute ice cream shop that sells Ben and Jerry’s most popular and basic flavors of ice cream. I’ve always been a Ben and Jerry’s fan and have had almost every flavor of their ice cream, so needless to say I planned my whole month around free cone day. The official Ben and Jerry’s twitter account also tweeted at me and let me know a website that tells you which flavors of their ice cream are sold where, which is very helpful when you’re new to a city. The workers here were super nice and they let you get back in line for seconds on free cone day. If you’re in the mood for ice cream, especially Ben and Jerry’s I’d say go here. There are also a lot of nice shopping places right down the street.

Why not. Just like it should be. All the flavored. Friendly service pretty awesome. This chain is all about dairy desserts. And they are good at it.

May 8th is free cone day! And that’s when I went. I don’t think I would ever go here on any other day except if I was one of the first in line for a free cone. There is absolutely NOPARKING in the area on a good day. I can only imagine what it is like when it’s busy. The employees don’t really seem to know what is going on, especially on free cone day. They were very disorganized, but hey, I got my free scoop of coffee ice cream and was on my way. I’ll be back next year if I can get there when they open.

If you want mediocre ice cream handed over to you by disgruntled workers, this is the place to go. Unfortunately, that’s not my thing… so I don’t like coming here. The times that I’ve been here with friends, the service has been pretty bad. Rice students are supposed to have half price scoops on Friday nights, but the workers here always seem reluctant to give us the discount. They’re also not very nice about giving out samples :(. The ice cream here is okay but super overpriced. A small is probably around $ 4-$ 5. I would much rather go to Amy’s Ice Cream, where the ice cream is cheaper, more unique, and the service is way better!

Ate here(as B&J’s) only twice. Not a bad place to go for ice cream, esp the Ben&Jerry flavors. Eating here, I have an expectation that this should be like Amy’s or Chocolate Bar. Instead, the vibe here is more like Marble Slab or Baskin Robbins. Ice cream isn’t bad. But I don’t get the warm fuzzy feeling that I should eat here. Even when this place was Dolce&Freddo back in the day, I got the same feeling. Bad feng shui? Nothing wrong with the ice cream here at all, I think it’s just me? Either way, I see myself rushing to Amy’s or even Baskin Robbins than coming back here.

This is the best Ben & Jerry’s in Houston! Why? Because it’s the only location in Houston! I’ve always eaten their product that they sell in the grocery store in the little pint size containers but eating it at their location is a different experience. I ordered the banana split with flavors: LATENIGHTSNACK5⁄5 COFFEE, COFFEE, BUZZBUZZBUZZ! 3⁄5 MILK&COOKIES5⁄5 Coated the whole thing with nuts and caramel/chocolate syrup! 5⁄5 If you wanted to you can utilize this place as a study spot as well. If you plan to bring on charging anything like a laptop or a phone, outlets are located in the ceiling??? EXCELLENTCUSTOMERSERVICE!

Up until this point, I have only experienced Ben & Jerry’s via the pints at the grocery stores. I was shocked to find that they actually have a location where you can get all the flavors in a ice parlor style. First off, the parking is terrible, it’s not bad during NON-peak hours but during rush hour, the traffic on Kirby is so dangerous backing out or trying to left turn in. Once inside it’s an older location but is welcoming. The guy behind the counter, Jay, is a really nice guy. The sign says please limit to only two tastings, but if it’s not too busy he’ll let you try a few more basically EVERYTHING is delicious. My friend and I both had banana splits, which lets you have 3 scoops of ice cream, then covered in whip cream, caramel syrup, and topped off with nuts. Mine had: Sweet cream and cookies(3⁄5) Americone dream(4⁄5) Cinnamon cereal swirl(5⁄5) Late night snack(4⁄5) Milk and cookies(3⁄5) Coffee coffee buzz buZz buzz(2⁄5) The building is old so the A/C isn’t too strong but they do have power outlets in the ceiling if you want to do work. They do not have wi-fi but their neighbors have unprotected wifi.
