Bella Rinova Salon & Day Spa

I had a gift certificate for $ 130 for this salon. I decided to use it for shellac and a pedicure. I’m highly disappointed… my nails were filed down unevenly and I asked twice to fix it. The shellac came out very dull and the side of my right thumb nail isn’t painted fully. Just very annoying to see daily. Also, it’s been a week and my pedicure is chipping already? Not to mention, I was asked politely to leave as soon as she finished my pedicure. It was definitely a challenge to walk and drive hoping to not ruin the wet polish. and I sorta failed. Although I’m thankful for the gift, I would never go back and spend $ 120 + 20% gratitude again for shellac and pedicure. Also, no massaging with it!

I have been going to Ryan for my color, keratin treatments and hair cuts for years now and always get compliments. He does a great job!

It was my first time coming to Bella Rinova and it was just amazing. I’ve been following Alex for years and he is absolutely great! I would recommend him to anyone and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair! Thank you so much again Alex I’m in love with my hair!

Visit Stylist /​Master Colorist Mari Calvillo! … Came in with an old grown out ombré and very damaged hair ends (from over precessing) and walked out with a totally different look and my hair felt healthy and smelled delicious. Needlless to say, my hair was on fleek! Yassss! hehe
I sat on Maris’ chair and basically told her to do whatever she thought was best for my hair texture and current hair color. Because lets face it, as clients we sometimes have very unrealistic expectations and hair dressers can only do so much. The result, a very pretty caramelized brown tones of higlights & lowlights with a hint of dirty blond (toned my current blond) which I absolutely LOVED! The color was beautiful and went really nice with my tanned colot skin. Mari was so sweet and a total expert. The process took 3+ hours and never once did I feel rushed. I booked her for color/​highlights only and walked out with a blow dry and style (Blow drys start at $ 55), she even gave me some «hair repair» samples to take home.
The salon it’s self was very nice and upscale and the enviroment was very relaxing. The entire staff was nice and made sure I was comfortable. I will definitely go back and visit Mari. The services here are pricier than other places, BUT you get what you pay for!

Shayla does an extraordinary job with men’s hair (from what I observe women, too). I literally feel better after she is done. Also, the place has great product and all around staff.

I am so incredibly happy Katie S. & Jennifer S. are here! They are the BEST, I’d follow these ladies anywhere. I trust Katie so much that I just let her do her thing and cut my hair without much direction and it always turns out amazing. Jennifer is an amazing colorist and mixes beautiful combinations to give my hair such brilliant dimension and shine. Love these ladies.

So thrilled that Jennifer Stepp (colorist) and Katie Sullivan (stylist) have joined the Bella family. They are AMAZING. I’ve been seeing Jennifer for 5 years and wouldn’t think about anyone else for my fab #bayalage color! Great job Bella Rinova! This salon is BEAUTIFUL!

My review is based on both personal and professional experience…
I work at a makeup store in close proximity to this salon and we always send clients there for special occasion hair. I particularly highly recommend Elia and Ryan. I personally have been going to Ryan for close to 2 years now. I pretty much just tell him to do whatever he wants to my hair, and I always get compliments. It’s usually some kind of long layered cut and balayage hilights. He will go on location or come in early or stay late to accommodate clients upon request. He has a great personality and having your hair done by him is just like hanging out with a close friend. I have never had an updo from him but clients that I have seen come from his chair always have beautiful, original styles: his updos are always stylish and beautifully finished. Never lacquered down or cheesy. I have never had a client complain about their hair after leaving Bella Rinova and seeing me for makeup (which I cannot say about other competing salons nearby).

Melissa is fantastic. She has taken great care of me over the years. She is extremely professional. I love going to Bella Rinova.

So I love Bella Rinova, but really I love my hairdresser Ryan. He is amazing. Ryan can do anything with any type of hair. People ask me constantly where I get my hair colored and I am happy to tell them Ryan. Some times I am brown or honey blonde or very light. It just depends on the weather really! If you want someone that will really listen to what you are looking for and do his best on everyone he see. t is RYAN at Bella Rinova! He is divine :)

I’ve been postponing writing this review for years because I don’t want the secret to get out that Elia is such a great hairdresser! But I decided that she is so good that I have to spread the word. I’ve been going to her for 10 years now. I have followed her from salon to salon and I hope she never stops cutting hair!
She is masterful at giving the most flattering haircut you could ever get. Her skill with color is amazing too. I went from black hair to blonde and people thought it was my natural color, she is that good. Best haircut in Houston, hands down.

I purchase a deep conditioning from a charity auction. When I received the voucher it said Tuesday — Thursday, made me wonder if they made the donation to support the neighborhood or if they made the donation for free advertising… anyway, when I called to make my appointment the only day that they are open after 5 is Thursday.
So, I rushed rushed rushed to get to my appointment on time (5:30pm) and was made comfortable — offered a drink, food, etc (I declined, but it was a nice gesture).
It’s 5:45 and I’m not in a chair — I asked to reschedule. Again, receptionist was really nice and commented that my appointment was for 6pm. (If it was for 6 then why did ya tell me to get there at 5:30???) While a half of an hour doesn’t sound like much, it is the difference between fulfilling an obligation or making a client wonder why she even bothered. It’s the difference between eating dinner with friends or going home to leftovers. It’s the difference between your daughter playing in a ball game or letting her team mates down. It has consequence is all I’m saying.
I left with no intention of ever revisiting. The charity got their donation (a few thousand of them from me alone) and Bella Rinova lost out on a prospective client that had the capability of referring hundreds to their shop.
The place looked nice enough — clients seemed happy — staff seemed happy, but if you are like me then I wouldn’t visit this Salon because who has ½ a hour to waste on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday???

I was on their website one day looking at the services they offer. I finally decided to make an appointment after having some free time. My eyebrows are very light so I just wanted to darken them up a bit. I made an appointment for an eyebrow tint which takes about 15 minutes. I went in the same day I called. I had a choice to either do brown or black. I chose the brown so it wouldn’t turn out so dark. She explained that it wasn’t a dye but just a tint to make them darker which would last for about a month. I was fine with that. She didn’t tint both eyebrows evenly to match each other… that was the only problem I had with the session. The weekend passed, and the tint is pretty much gone. I’m sure it was due to the amount of times I washed my face… but seeing how it didn’t last very long, I wouldn’t go back to redo the tinting. The lady doing my eyebrows was very nice and answered all the questions I had. Everything was great… it just didn’t last as long as I expected.

Amazing! I can’t say enough kind words about the team at Bella Rinova Salon… they literally saved my wedding day! Not living in Texas and getting married in Texas it was a challenge to find a salon to get my hair done at with no recommendations and not being able to have a trial run. I found what i thought was a good salon in Houston, (in the Loop), boy was i wrong! On my wedding day i left the salon in tears and with no idea where to go. My maid of honor and i made our way over to Crave Cupcakes in Uptown to pick up the cupcakes for the wedding hoping to find a salon in the Uptown area that could help my bad hair situation. We walked into Bella Rinova and they found a way to fit me in with no appointment because they could clearly tell i was desperate (getting married in 5 hours). Justin, at Bella Rinova, saved the day! he made me laugh at my situation and assured me that in 20 minutes i would be a beautiful bride… and he was right! He totally hooked me up with an amazing up-​do that i received complements on all night! I will forever be grateful to Justin for making me look and feel beautiful on the most important day of my life!
