Authentic Mexican tacos. Basic fresh ingredients. Don’t come here for gourmet Mexican food. The tacos were not creative, beautiful or complex. They were fresh, hot and delicious. Even though it is not fancy, I would not call it a dive. Order at the counter and grab a both or table surrounded by Mexican tile and decorations. While it is no Casa Bonita, it is still a nice place to eat.

Bad tamales, so little and lack of flavor, but the plates are good, giving them one more chance,

Can’t go wrong! Great food, fast service! The line out the door on weekends says it all, been a customer for 10+ years!

Great breakfast tacos!!! Like seriously, the best but the salsa and slow counter service leave a little to be desired.

We love the food here, however that they have 2 registers and only ever use ONE and ALLOW to go orders to jump in front of people who have been waiting in line is ridiculous! This practice is losing them customers. While waiting in line 2 «to go» orders jumped ahead in line only to see them go and sit down to eat.

The food is ok. Over priced by a lot but if your wanting tamales and they are the only ones round the would do! Breakfast isn’t the best but not the worst. They should honestly seek a hire another cashier I can’t stand the lady they have. She’s rude& cant understand simple instructions!

Very nice place to eat, the tamales were fairly good I mean the pork hot version, the chicken and beef were not what I would call all that good, but then others might find them good. remember these must be eaten at once, keeping them until the next day and reheating them is not an option as they dry out and lose much or their original taste, otherwise these are about the best I have found in Houston, if anyone knows where one can find some good hot tamales post it on FB please.

Fast, friendly and delicious tacos! Carne asada was super good! I can’t wait to have a actual plate instead of being on the run and grabbing tacos! Bravo on the carne asada!

They have the BEST breakfast tacos! I don’t mind standing in line on a weekend morning because I know I’m getting a delicious taco treat. Don’t forget the fresh made salsa. It’s the BEST too!

I wouldn’t recommend this place for a few different reasons. 1. The food was less than average, not authentic and pretty pricey for what they serve and the portion size. We ordered the tamale plate, the Carne guisada plate and the chicken fajita plate with a side of extra guac. All plates came with rice and beans. There was nothing special about the rice and beans, pretty typical but my husband did say that there was no seasoning in the beans. His Carne guisada was basically meat with gravy, nothing authentic about the dish. My tamale plate was also not very authentic which is weird since the restaurant is called tamale factory. Also, the guac was just mashed up avocado. It didn’t taste like it had any seasoning, there was no tomatoes, no onions, etc. 2. Everything was served in disposable ware. Plates, utensils, drinks, etc. Which is not a big deal, but it felt like I had ordered something from a taco truck. 3. There’s no set kids menu. They will«make» a kids plate, but the cashier said that it’s only .50 less than the adult sized plates, so why bother. 4. No free chips and salsa, lol! The only thing authentic was that our waitress didn’t speak English. :/

Ordered tacos to go and not only did they not give me everything, the tacos i ordered with beans were drenched in beans and disgusting. I ordered egg amd ham and they literally put a whole piece of ham, plain lazy. I will never go here again.

Avoid this place !!! There was several red flags that should have made me turn away as soon as I walked through the doors(angry faces of people waiting for food, a menu board with post it notes of changes, the silence of the entire resturant even of those eating) but being optimistic I bravely stayed on course. First I grabbed 1 of 2 menus provided which both looked as if a child went at it with a sharpie covering prices and making price changes(not done by a child) so you go in ordering blind not knowing the price of anything. Once i was ready to order i ran into the cashier who was being overworked answering phone orders taking, line orders and getting most of the heat from the angry people who were waiting on their food, so I went the safe way and ordered 2 fajita tacos and 2 Carne Guisada tacos and a dozen of their world famous chicken tamales with a coke. The food came out piping hot so it looked appealing until I took the first bite of my fajita taco it tasted like a cheap knock off pepper steak wrapped in a soggy tortilla, the Carne Guisada had no flavor and finally the tamales that were super skinny little to no chicken and was just masa, i was highly disappointed in this resturant and would not recommend it.

Fantastic place to get tamales and down right inexpensive tex-mex food. I don’t know many places that can serve up a plate of refried beans, mexican rice and two tamales AND toss in some hand made flour tortillas for under $ 6.00! Heck, I got the extra large gigantoid Coke Zero(yes, they serve it here) and my meal was STILL under 8 dollars before tax! The chips and queso are awesome here as well. I dont know how they make their chips, but they are FRESH and taste incredible. Probably fried in unicorn tears is my guess. FANTASTIC!!! I could not stop eating these! I have had the tamales, the enchiladas, more queso than my cardiologist wants to hear about and those chips!!! If you are in the area, this is a fantastic place to go to get some awesome food AND not pay a fortune to eat it. Solid 5 stars — because the quality is just that good and the prices cannot be beat.

Went in today,(Sunday morning) already expecting a line since this place has pretty decent food and noticed a few things that bothered me. The woman that was taking orders has either left or was moved to a different place within the restaurant but the guy that was taking the orders wasn’t that much different. I ordered a medium drink expecting to receive a MEDIUM sizes cup but what I got was very short coming, it was the size of a small cup everywhere else and it was $ 2.09 for it. It seems like the large drink is where to get a better buy but some people don’t want to drink that much. When I ordered my tacos I said I wanted the bacon, chorizo, and barbacoa tacos and he asked me if I wanted all three in one taco? Wth? Who does that? Anyways the people cooking and preparing the meals are pretty to them selves and don’t share are kind of friendly mood towards anyone but their own staff. All in all, this place is a good get in and get out place but not one to expect ANY kind of friendly service while dining in. Plus one more thing, the water dispenser isn’t marked saying it’s water it’s just all colorful looking and sitting next to the coffee dispensers, get a sign on there and don’t confuse anyone. That is all. [for fast service, call in and get it to go]
