I have two separate reviews for AOK. One is for the doctor’s visit and the other is for the physical therapy side. The physical therapy group is extremely friendly and they really know how to assess problems and find solutions. I’ve been going here for a few months now due to lower back pain and my PT sessions have helped my back tremendously. The reason for the three stars is because it’s very difficult to get an appointment with any of the doctors and once you do have an appointment, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be seen exactly when you schedule your appointment. I recently went in for a follow-​up visit with a doctor and even though I had an appointment to see him at 4pm, I wasn’t in the patient room until 4:20pm and the doctor didn’t show up in my room till 4:40pm. Even after that, the doctor only spent 5 minutes total looking at my back and asking a few questions so I’m not sure if that is a normal time frame to ask all the questions necessary to give a complete diagnosis of how my progress was coming along.
Overall, the team here is very professional and they’re good at what they do but you may be waiting around for a while.

We came to the emergency center because my son had busted his chin open in the bathtub. I went inside to ask the woman at the front desk if they accepted our insurance before I even took my son inside the office; she said they did. We paid $ 400 out of pocket at the office and were then billed another $ 800. We had decent insurance– BCBS. The lady at the front desk failed to tell us they only partially accepted our insurance.
$ 1200 for four stitches with insurance.
Next time, we will choose somewhere else or try to wait for our pediatrician’s office to open.

–Unfriendly staff (until paid $ 400 visit… they will call you «sweety or hun»)
–My appointment was at 2:30
–It’s 4:00 and I am still waiting to see a doctor.
–The only polite and kind person here is the X-​Ray technician
–saw the doctor for 4 minutes to tell me «you’re fine»
Certainly an unpleasant experience
