Amy’s Burger Bar has changed ownership/name to Uncle Chalie’s Kitchen. They have been open 3 weeks now as of April 20th. A very broad menu including plate meals like Pork chops and green beans. They still specialize in burgers like Amy’s. I ordered the Fireball Burger came with Pepperjack Cheese, spicy mayo and jalapeños and it hit the spot. The lettuce on the burger was so fresh and delicious it made me want to order a side salad on my next visit. Met Uncle Charlie and he is a super nice guy excited about this new opportunity.

This place is as the sign says temporarly closed. I would have rated this higher, if the company would have used FREE social media to give US more details. Awesome deals on their burgers. I wonder what caused the shut down? Hmm…

Stopped by last week to use my Groupon and check the joint out but it was closed. Sign on door says will open soon. Called today and phone number has been disconnected. Another business fail after just six months!

Ate here today for the first time. While the food was good and plentiful for the price, it did take a long time between ordering and eating. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. The one major drawback is location. Amy’s shares the parking lot with a strip club in a little less than desirable section. We even got to see two of the«working ladies» come over for lunch. I was just a little uncomfortable being there with my son.(Had bought a Groupon and didn’t check it out first! Lol)

Wow!!! Very good food surprised since it’s not in the best location. I had the grilled salad it was very fresh. My husband had The Classic and the burger was huge. The wait wasn’t bad at all if u want fresh food wait for it. If not go to Micky D’s and get a nasty pre made who knows what simple as that!

This place gets 3 stars for now. I really enjoyed the food, but waiting 20 minutes for a burger and fries is just ridiculous. I know they’ve been open for just a month, but it’s not some gastronomique masterpiece they’re preparing back there. And it wasn’t just me, it was everyone that got their burgers this late. I came at 11:15AM, so there was just one big table ahead of me. Even I could hear their complaints about how they should have gone somewhere else to eat. What put me off was that the cashier kept saying to everyone who ordered that it would take about 10 minutes. Obviously, she nor the kitchen is keeping track. As far as the food and pricing, it was very good. Burger was supposedly a ½ lb according to their Unilocal description, but I really don’t think it was. It came with your choice of shoestring fries or onion rings with your combo. Al the combos were $ 6 – 7, so a pretty good deal indeed. You get your choice of melted cheese sauce like Fuddrucker’s or sliced cheddar cheese. The patty was well seasoned, even though it was cooked well done. It had some char to it, so it wasn’t just some fast food patty. I had gotten the one with jalapeño and habaneros, so it had quite a kick to it! I’ll come back, but maybe after they’ve fine tuned their kitchen speed. Or I could always just call in ahead of time!

Amy’s Burger Bar is awesome! I just had the chili cheese dogs and fries for lunch. The dogs were grilled to perfection and had a great flavor. The fries were also delicious and perfectly seasoned. They also serve a variety of burgers, dogs, chicken entrees, salads, sides, and shakes. The service is friendly and you get your food out fast(but its waaaay better than fast food). Super affordable prices, oh and its a VERY clean restaurant. Plus its at a convenient location… on Rankin road, just east of i45. I will definitely be back soon!!!

Hadn’t had a good burger and fries in some time and decided to try out Amy’s Burger Bar. It definitely exceeded my expectations! I really enjoyed the Amy’s Burger, which had grilled onions and mushrooms, bacon, and onion rings on it and was grilled to perfection. I also love that they served shoestring fries, which are my favorite. To top it all off my friend and I shared the chocolate shake which was made from real ice cream! I would definitely come back!

Ordered the cheddar cheese burger and fries. Burger was big but not enough flavor. They use liquid canned cheese which was extremely messy and the cheese didn’t seem to belong on a burger at all, but rather in a cup next to some nachos at a baseball game. For the extra $ 1, I’m not sure liquid cheese was a worthy addition. It was somewhat amusing watching the other patron try to keep the cheese from oozing down his arm too. Fries were ok — super skinny type fries. When I walked up to the counter, the young girl continued staring at her smartphone for a good 30 seconds while I stood there wondering how long it would take her to realize I was standing there. She finally noticed I was there and said«Oh, may I take your order?»
