Ate to this place last week A roach crawled up my leg I told the manager she said she’s sorry that was it The worst Chinese food in Houston Texas. Also the dirtiest restaurant ever The restaurant is located on Richmond why is she so dirty it’s a high area

Best Chinese ever! I have been going here all my life with my family, and it doesn’t get better. The staff still knows me as an adult. Truly great people and food!

This ranks in my top 5 favorite places to eat. The egg rolls are amazing! Food is fresh and you can’t beat the charm of this Houston Chinese tradition for almost 40 years.

Ordered KungPow Chicken and an order of Eggrolls(2ct). Delivery took about 45 mins. The driver was well dressed(black slacks and a white business shirt). The Eggrolls are DELISH!!! A must try. Perfectly filled in a not too thick eggroll paper. The KungPow Chicken was ordered as mild and it has a pretty decent kick to it. Sinuses are clearing up a bit but the spice doesn’t overtake. It hits you only while eating and then subsides which allows you to enjoy the spice without feeling like you’re mouth is totally ablaze. I deducted a star because I paid the up-charge of $ 1 for«fried rice» and was expecting«fried rice» like with some peas and a bit of scrambled egg but was given a box of SO lightly browned rice it’s basically just regular rice… pretty disappointed :( Besides that… for a first impression it was fresh, delivery time was great, the delivery personnel was a pleasure and I’ll be ordering again.

Friendly family restaurant makes it the best in town for us. Love the«Happy Family» and sharing the special won ton soup. This place is a Houston institution!

Two words… Egg Rolls! Seriously though, my coworker and I got Ambassador delivered to our office for lunch. I got the Szechuan Shredded Chicken lunch special(comes with fried rice and the most amazing, giant egg roll). She got the Curry Chicken. We were both impressed! Each meal came out to around 9 dollars with tax, delivery was free and fast. When I’m feeling too lazy to leave for lunch, I’m definitely going to order from Ambassador again :).

Ambassador Chinese is a Houston institution. Family owned and operated for 35 years, this establishment’s proprietor, affectionately known to hundreds of loyal customers as «Wendy,» is the hostess with the mostest, and«Sally» keeps operations running smoothly. Friendly, family dining in a relaxed atmosphere … Love the Sizzling Rice Soup! Fantastic Sweet and Sour sauce. Great wine selection. Wonderful staff that provides attentive service. Each meal is prepared and presented with tender loving care. It’s kept us coming back for over 20 years.

I ordered a delivery. For general chicken and fried won tons. Maybe they were having a bad night but it tasted nothing like general chicken plus it took them hour and a half when they said it would be an hour and the food was cold by time it got to me. Not impressed they didn’t give any napkins nor forks to eat with.

I love this place! Only ate there once and did take out once, but the food is great. Nice chinese food that also has a bunch of indian fusion dishes, and the spice level is good as well! Love the manchurain and rice… but it was way better when I ate at the restaurant rather than take out(but I suppose that’s the deal with most places)! highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice better tasting version of take out.

Came here for lunch strictly because i was craving some indo-Chinese food and I remember that a friend had told me a while back that the Chef here can do some Indo-Chinese dishes if you specifically ask for it. Well I asked and the waiter said that they don’t do that anymore. Was kinda disappointed but super hungry at the same time so decided to just order something off the regular menu. i went with Shrimp in blackbean sauce and was not really impressed. Dish seemed more Americanized Chinese than Authentic Chinese in my opinion and i don’t care for Americanized Chinese personally.

I ordered through GrubHub and they messed up my order. I ordered shrimp fried rice and orange chicken and I got shrimp fried rice and beef and vegetables. Where is my orange chicken???

I’ve had food delivered from there twice and they executed well half of the time. Probably wont order from them again due to overcooked chicken and hard rice. Not that picky, but when you spend 30 dollars on take out for two people and you throw the meal away. The person packing the meal would have seen the rice was hard before closing the lid… that’s what irritates me the most.

I should have gone with the naysayers on this one… I ordered General Tso’s chicken, pork fried rice, and a couple of egg rolls. *big sigh* I would have done better just throwing $ 23 out of my car window. The chicken is mushy and bland… The only flavor I taste in the rice is wok… And the egg rolls are so greasy it’s not even funny, and have a grease puddle to prove it.

Great Chinese food, always taste fresh. Curry chicken is always perfectly spiced, kung pao is average, if you’re vegetarian the Manchurian is amazing. Wontons over egg rolls in my opinion. All the soups are delicious. An awesome lunch spot in an area that is almost always packed. Highly recommended. The owner is super sweet the service is sub par.
