wait time is horrible. What is point of making an appointment if doc will see after 2 hours. Staff is verey rude. Specially Ashley. I dont no what they think who they are? but these are the rudest people i have ever met. They charge you upfront and make you sit in a lobby for hours. The people work around her dont no how to deal with the patients. It is suppose to happy moments in anybody’s life but staff attitude kills every thing. I would highly recommend to any one make sure you talk to dr first before waste your time any money and happy moments of your life. She is a butcher. She will not come to deliver your baby. Instead she will yell at you in front of 10 nurses. Stay away from this place. Stay Far far far far away from this place. you will will receive wrong bills and there not dorn thing you can do about it. She should call her self butcher

I made an appointment to meet with Dr. Ambani at her Sugar Land location. I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment, just to be safe! I sat in the waiting room for about 30 minutes until I decided to ask when I would be seen. The ladies at the front desk told me Dr. Ambani was not even at this office yet, she was at the other location! How ridiculous iwas that?! They scheduled an appointment for a time when the doctor was not going to be at the location!!! After another 15 minutes, I was ready to be seen. Of course, I had to wait in a smaller waiting area for 10 more minutes! During this 10 minutes of waiting, Dr. Ambani was there joking and laughing with her assistants about her vacation! She never once acknowledged me… I mean at least say hi! I would understand if she was busy due to the numerous amounts of patients before me and doctors tend to run behind schedule, but that clearly was not the case! Finally when I got to see her, I had many questions/concerns. Her reply was that we’ll worry about those things when the time comes! I’m no expert, but I don’t think that is how you comfort a concerned patient. The least you can do is respect and help the people that trust you to take care of them and not to mention PAY to see you! Sadly, I’ve been a patient with Dr. Ambani for 3 years or so and can say she didn’t start off like this! I used recommend her to my friends. I have officially decided NOT to come back.

I went because in Jan 2014, I saw good reviews on ZocDoc. I should have read the reviews on because it turned out to be quite the nightmare. First, the wait – I went there just twice and both the times the wait was horrendously long(about 3 hours). I don’t think I’ve ever waited this long at a doctor’s office, not even in an ER. They overbook on purpose from what I’ve heard from other former patients and it is very normal to have a wait time of 1 to 3 hours apparently. Worse yet, there is hardly any seating for all the people waiting. Of the seating that is there, it is torn or uncomfortable or dirty. The floors were grimy and wet in the reception area and it doesn’t help that it was so crowded. Third, and this is a BIG one: The billing department openly engages in spurious practices. They don’t give receipts for payments. I *know* that my insurance covers ultrasounds 100% with no co-pay, yet I was charged $ 250 by the practice and asked to pay then and there at my first visit. I asked for a receipt and the billing lady refused to give it. I asked her to explain it and she became a bit rude and belligerent. She said I’ll receive it in mail. Never saw anything. Waited and waited for MONTHS! When I called BCBSTX – they said not only did they never receive any claim for ultrasound but that I shouldn’t have been charged for the ultrasound. Finally got it a few days ago, basically a year later after I had BCBS call them directly. If I hadn’t, I would have never gotten my $ 250 back(which I shouldn’t have been charged in the first place. Stay far, far away!

I love how sweet and communicative Dr. Ambani is. She is always ready for my questions, though she is very busy. It was explained to me she delivers all of her patients’ babies, meaning she doesn’t have a back-up doctor part of the time. This has a good and bad side. When I was only seeing her for annual woman’s wellness, it meant once I had to wait an hour because she was out delivering a baby. But it also means when I’m ready to have children, she’ll be there for me, so I won’t have to deliver my baby with a stranger.
