Al’s Pizza House

The only reason I gave this place a star is because it requires you to give it at least one star. Anyway, they just delivered my order of a pepperoni pizza and fried mushrooms and fries. Don’t care too much for the pizza. The store bought pizza you put in the oven would be a step up from this. The French fries were mixed in with some old ones which were probably left over from earlier. As for the mushrooms, some were overcooked and some burnt. I will never order anything from this place ever again. Evidently the owner is not reading what customers are writing in the reviews or he just don’t care.

Bad… Just bad. Said an hour to deliver took an hour and a half. I ordered a gyro with no sauce, sauce on the side, so that it would not be soggy. Also ordered a calzone. Was offered a can soft drink with the gyro, I said coke she said out of coke but have pepsi, I said gross, she agreed and said never in a million years would she order a pepsi, so we agreed on sunkist. Driver shows up with pepsi, no biggie so I said no thanks. Opened the gyro box and gyro is soggy as all get out and covered with sauce. I called, lady offers 15% off next order, I would have to make a $ 60.00 order next time to get my money back on the ruined gyro I ordered this time. Thanks but No thanks, I will never order from here again. HORRIBLE!!!

While the food is usually good, the delivery service is subpar. They will generally quote 45 mins to 1 hour but in reality it’s more along the lines of 1 hour 30 minutes if you’re lucky.
No matter when you order the delivery always takes forever. Disappointing!
When you call to inquire about the status of the order they are quite short and just say the order has left the building. Guess I’ll just find another place that lives up to their word and quoted time.

I have been a loyal customer for years. Its amazing how quickly one bad experience can change that. To me, its all about how management wants to fix a problem. In my recent experience at Al’s, they could care less and made that very apparent.
I ordered fish and chips, a pizza and mozzarella sticks. Simple order. They delivered catfish instead of the fish and chips (should have been the battered cod we had ordered in the past.) I called to have them send the correct fish after attempting to stomach the cat fish which was absolutely one of the worst tasting fish I have ever had. They sent it about 30 min later and when I opened the door the young delivery guy proceeded to argue with me stating that I ordered the wrong dish. He told me I should have been charged more and went on and on. He was disrespectful and insulted me at my doorstep.
I immediately called the store and the cook answered the phone and told me that I ordered incorrectly. Again, arguing with me after the original employee agreed they messed up. I heard her in the background discussing this blaming me saying that the customer was wrong. So unprofessional.
All I asked was that the owner return my call and a possible refund. The owner never called me that night after I was promised he would. I had to call again the next day to speak to the owners wife. She could not make a decision on a refund and in fact argued about what I ordered after clearly not knowing her own menu. She told me her husband the owner would call me before 9 pm but that never happened.
They never tried to make this right. I gave them ample opportunity. I will NEVER order again and highly encourage anyone to stay away from this business. To sum it up they got my order wrong, served us bad fish, insulted me at my own home, refused to call me, and made me feel as though they did not appreciate my years of steady business.

Best pizza! Service can be kind of slow but their pizza is amazing. Wish I lived closer so I could come here more often but I always try to stop by when I’m in the area.

I want so badly to give someplace nearby a good review, but this is not that place. I waited over an hour and a half for my food… which was lukewarm by that point (I have a microwave so this wasn’t all that bad). However, I ordered fettuccine Alfredo… there was about a spoonful of Alfredo sauce… some of the pasta was burned… other parts were very chewy. and the chicken was SUPER dry. I couldn’t even eat a good portion of this. So disappointed… :(

This place has gotten so bad. 3 years ago we loved them. Now the food, customer service and the delivery all stinks! They don’t know the difference between their own menu items. When you tell them they got it wrong (which has happened on EVERY order for the last year) the woman acts surprised– she asked me-‘oh you don’t like fettuccine?!’ No. I ordered chicken Parmesan. Please, if you want your order correct, and not cold or stale, stay far away from this scuzzy place!

Great buffalo wings: crispy, tangy, very spicy. Good pizza– it’s heavy on cheese and light on sauce though. :/

I had the Greek pizza and it was super delicious! Customer service was excellent and the patio in the restaurant was really nice! I recommend this awesome pizzeria!

Ordered a veggie lovers and a pepperoni. Both did not taste good. Veggie was dry and there was barely any pepperoni on the other one.

Good food but very poor customer service. Make sure you check your order when delivery and pick up. In other words, double check everything with them!

Tough call on my first visit. The pizza was pretty good, but i would have to agree with some reviews that the toppings were light. however, the pizza deal was reasonable. the wings were good and well sauced, but I asked for extra crispy and got regular. I didn’t get my 2 liter drink either which was part of the combo. I also had the meatball sub. huge roll with little meatballs. I’m used to meatballs that fill the roll, but again a good value at 3.99. sauce was good and decent amount of cheese.
I came in and I had to wait for about one minute while they were talking before I was acknowledged or asked to wait. However, the lady was nice. the order was completed in about 15 minutes.
so, to summarize, good taste at a good value. I will have to try again like other customers.

The pizza and stuffed jalepenos were great! Ordered delivery to hotel for a group of 8, everyone was satisfied. Delivery time was about 1 hour and they advised me that it would be. I will definitely order again if I dont want to get out while in town.

) — really like it — pizza has been great every time. A very nice change from franchise pizza — give it a try! (Fav: cheese pizza w/​pepperoni and then add tons of veggies)

Food quality is slipping. I like french fries. Very hard to mess up french fries, but recently they come burnt or undercooked and hard in the middle. On several occasions, they have screwed up our order. I hate it when you are craving something, open it up and it’s not right. Very disappointing. We may order from here again one day, but for now I think we are going to try other pizza places in the area.

This place USED to be good but the last few times we’ve ordered from here is hasn’t been the same. The crust is too thick and really hard on the edges, the taste is bleh… I honestly don’t know what happened!
Wings are good…
Another thing is that whenever I’ve picked up my order I notice that there is no A/​C for the cooks, they just have a couple of fans and open doors for them. In this Houston weather that is torture! I couldn’t breathe for the 15 min I waited, I can just imagine them in the hot kitchen, poor things! Thats probably the reason why the food has been changing, please get them some air!

Prices are good staff friendly and got to talk with al himself really does care about his customers

We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza. It was ok. We also got bone-​in medium wings and they were good. not saucy, almost looked grilled. Just how my husband likes them. But the people were not my favorite.
We ordered delivery and were told 45 minutes. I realize ordered pizza at 5:30, but an hour and a half later when the pizza guy showed up our pizza was room temperature. I told him the pizza took forever and he responded I dont know. Thanks being helpful.
We just moved to the area and wanted to try something new. I do not see us ordering from here again.
