Overall, good experience. I’m probably between a 3 and a 4 since my experience wasn’t perfect but I’ll bump it up to four since I’m not in much pain the day after my procedure and that’s what counts most as far as I’m concerned. A little background: Previously I have had two fillings that ended up with cavities under them — both times the dentists tried to remove what cavity was there and fill it back in… both times ended with me in excruciating pain needing an emergency root canal. Fast forward many years later I’ve got the same situation: cavity under the filling. I decided to wait until it actually started to hurt, then I would go get the root canal since I was 99% sure that’s the way it would end anyways. That being said, I called for a consult appointment. The front desk was friendly — I filled out my paperwork at home online so check in was pretty fast(however I had to fill out the entire ‘pain’ form again which was a bit annoying). The dental assistant seemed new so getting started was a slow process but eventually I got to talk to the Endodontist(Paula Mendez) and explained the situation. I was expecting to have to come back and take care of the root canal but she performed the procedure right then and there. The procedure should have taken about an hour but mine took a little longer since I guess an emergency came in around the same time mine got started. I was there about 2.5 hours total(including the procedure and the consultation) — lots of waiting on the doctor, some of it while my mouth was propped open! That all said though I’m not in much pain today besides a little soreness. As somebody already stated they do not prescribe you anything stronger than IB profin so if you’ve got a low pain tolerance be sure to tell them.

Horrible Customer service. Scheduled my appointment a week in advance per referral from my dentist. They called me less than 24 hours in advance to Let me know they don’t take my insurance ?? When I told The women this was unacceptable as I had given her the insurance a week in advance she said«oh well we are busy and every other customer thinks advance 24 hours is enough notice to verify your insurance» never have I seen such horrible back office work and customer service.

Fast, painless root canal? Yep. this is the place to go. I have a true fear of dentists in general and root canals in particular. Dr Caballos took great care of me. His technicians, Lupe and Janice, did their best to try to keep me calm and at ease. My only complaint would be my lack of pain relief. The office phoned the next day to check on me. I told the lady that the Motrin and Tylenol were ineffective. She assured me that I would be sore and to just keep taking the meds. I wasn’t just sore, however. I had throbbing unrelenting pain. I returned to my dentist the next day for a temp crown and was given more substantial pain meds which worked beautifully. I rec this place, just be sure to get more than Motrin before you leave!
