The boba balls were old and the cup they put the drinks in can’t fit in my car cup holder… I do like the fact they use creamer for the milk tea though!

We tried all six of the available macaron flavors and all of them were on the lower-end of mediocrity. The vanilla cupcake was insanely nondescript. But before any of this, the décor made my soul cringe.

Definitely not the place for macaroons I went there in rainy day and the store smelled like fish. The macaroons were dry and not as tasty as They look. I guess they’re good for their tea but definitely not for macaroons. so this is a two star review

I recently drove all the way, in the rain to get my drink of choice. Come to find out they revamped the whole menu. They took off everything that made it different from the other teahouses. They didn’t have mine, or my boyfriends favorite drinks. I use to purposely come to this spot, and even showed all my friends/family this wonderful place. They made my favorite drink perfectly, and offered unique types of tea. Plus the cost: size ratio was well worth the drive. If I wanted any old generic flavored tea, than I can go to any other Tea place all around the area. Please bring back the old menu!

For a place that purports to make tea so good that you’ll be addicted to them, this café does a poor job of making tea. My girlfriend and I came here to try the macrons and we had some tea as well. She ordered rose tea and I had black milk tea with boba and an order of macarons to go. Both the rose tea and black milk tea were terrible. The rose tea was not rose tea according to my girlfriend. It was more like some other kind of tea with the flavor of rose tea to ensure that the taste and the aroma fools you. She couldn’t drink it and so we tossed it out. With the black milk tea, the«milk» wasn’t real milk. It was powdered milk. Major strike out. Powdered milk in milk tea is, to me, built in low quality in order to make profit on milk tea. Sure, the drink is cheaper, but the taste is terrible and the profit is much better for the café. If you want to taste black milk tea using real milk, try Memorial Bakery on I-10 between Ross and Pier 1 imports. As far as the macarons go, they’re acceptable but highly overpriced. Several of the flavors(strawberry, chocolate, and the yellow one which I think is lemon) had too much sugar in them. I admire bakers who can consistently make good macarons because it truly is one of the most difficult cookies to bake. However, I am not impressed with the gold colored flakes and I am not«bling» oriented, especially on things that I eat. Want macarons but with less sugar used? If happen to be in Chinatown, Parisian Café and Bakery has good macarons for less than $ 2.00 each(6 macarons for $ 8.00 bag). For much better macarons at the $ 2.50 price point try Patisserie Paris Je T’aime which is about 5 miles west on Westheimer. As for the tea… anywhere but here! Definitely not addicted.

Came here on a Friday night with my husband and an old friend. Wasn’t too busy(just one large group of people playing majong… i think) and we enjoyed some tea and macaroons while talking. I got to say i’m a fan of their macaroons. They’re not overly sweet like at other places and the flavor was good. I’d definitely come back here again to leisurely hangout and have some snacks.

Bought the 5 drinks Groupon to this place. The drinks here are a good value for how big the sizes are! Not only do they do drinks, they have small desserts on the side too. There’s macarons, cupcakes and cake pops. If I remember correctly they also do cakes by order! The reason I’m giving them 3 stars instead of 4 stars — there have been multiple times where my boyfriend and I have tried to visit but they have closed before their stated closing time which is very annoying. Also, I don’t think they turn on the A/C in their shop… not sure if they’re trying to save electricity or what…

An extra star for buy 1 get 1 free today but when I took a sip of the yakult juice and strawberry greentea, whoaa too sweet! There’s potential here if they lay off the heavy hand with syrup.

Used a voucher from Living Social. The items were delicious! Moist, fresh, and flavorful. Place it self was spotless but simple. The owner, I assume, was very accommodating. Will go back

AddicTEA is a pretty neat place. Got the latte, black tea based, with tapioca and it was delicious! Dumplings are delicious as well!

Love the milk tea, they use the real milk instead of milk powder. It tastes fresh! It is a good place to hang out. This place is clean and comfortable. I will come back again.

Thai Tea with coffee jelly and Almond Milk Tea Latte with Egg pudding are so good! Green Tea macaroons aren’t bad either. Nice and clean on the inside. Friendly workers.

This really should be 2.5 stars, but gets another .5 for having yakult as an option for drinks which you rarely find. I tried the recommended green tea w/azuki beans and tapioca. Be warned, their cups are unusually big on the base so wouldn’t fit most car cup holders. This place is nothing special, as a matter of fact, 4⁄6 people at the table said just«meh.» Definitely can find better tapioca elsewhere, but for location, it does beat out Happy Teahouse across the street. In the three hrs we were there, there were only 2 other tables of customers and a couple of take-outs. Granted, we went around the 7 wk mark since its opening. It is a bit hidden. Only raving thing is thanks for the Rockets mini calendar, was looking around town for one!

eh. a swanky lil café. mango black tea tasted pretty good. boba were the lowest grade! brittle and hwished they werent so lazy as to let the syrup sit at the bottom of the drinks. macaroons were pretty good though. dumplings were yumcious except pan fried was only one sided. overall cheap and ok. will be back for dumpling cravings though.

We just had dinner and was craving something sweet on the way home so we stopped here. I think they’re fairly new? I’m not sure but I’m pretty sure the guy at the register was new bc even he didn’t know certain things about what they served. ANYWHO, it’s like walking into IKEA. Clean, and they have outlets everywhere so that’s good for people with laptops. We ordered a dumpling combo. It was 12 dumplings, a meat pastry thing, and a small green tea that we upgraded to the normal size they serve. We also got some popcorn chicken and another green tea. All for $ 20. We also checked in on Unilocal so the surprise for the day was a free macaron. Pan-fried pork dumplings — pretty good. I don’t know if they had sriracha bc I didn’t see any. The regular dumpling sauce was a little sweet. I should have ordered the spicy one. But you have options. So there’s like pork, beef, shrimp, and I forgot the 4th. Same goes the for the puff bao pastry. Pork pastry — I thought it would be the other pastry like a pâté chaud. But it was the flaky kind. The pork was good though. Popcorn Chicken — it was a good amount for the price. I didn’t realize until I sat down that they didn’t ask me for the spice level. It was good but all the basil and spicy ones were at the bottom of the bag. Macaron — kind of hard Honey green tea — really good! And the cup is huge. Definitely can’t put it in the car cup holder. It took a while for us to get the food but we weren’t in a rush so that’s okay. Overall, pleasant experience. And it’s probably nice to have another bubble tea place NOT in Chinatown.

Disclaimer: I am surely going to be biased towards any establishment that makes macarons so accessible to me that I can walk to them. I had to get that out of the way. On the corner of Westheimer and Dunvale, right outside of the Galleria area, Addictea is in the same plaza as the Sonic and GameStop. This small shop has enough seating for groups of perhaps 4 – 10 people, ample seating and tables, some simple décor and clean furniture and restrooms. Addictea has perhaps the most addictive dumplings ever. The secret lies in the spicy sauce they have, that the owners have admitted they are best known for. They conveniently have dumpling combos, wherein you can add sides to however many dumplings you have already ordered. The combo can easily be a meal, as soup and spring rolls are among the sides they offer. You can purchase those individually as well. They have a wide variety of drinks as well, all of which you can add tapioca to. These include milk teas to yakult blends. They have a happy hour and reverse for their drinks as well, where they are all $ 3.50, I believe. And that’s not all! They have tasty(and glittery) desserts like macarons, petite fours and cupcakes. It’s so nice to have a little Asian pastry café like this on Westheimer and not have to go to Chinatown every time my sweet tooth makes demands. Their macarons, the only dessert I have tasted, are chewy, not too sweet, and pretty sizable. Make sure to visit this place! The owners are very friendly and will gladly explain any menu item to you.
