The attached store(owned by someone else is… tense and creepy). While the guy at Adams is cool the attached«supermarket» feels almost hostile.

The best Mango Lassi in town. He served it in a steel glass and when i sipped it i was in another world for few seconds. Besides this his Nihari and silver spoon kabob rolls are delish and hard to find anywhere else in Houston.

First time trying it out here. It’s in a grocery store and there’s not really a sitting area. I ordered the nihari and chicken karahi. Both was amazingly good. I just wished they gave more food than a cup size for $ 10. It’s pricy in my opinion. The nihari is pretty good, very flavorful and the beef was super soft and tender and just had the right amount of spices that didn’t over power the dish. And the chicken karahi is a mixture of spices with ginger and garlic and tomatoes. This chicken was also soft and the dish itself was on the greasy side which I just drained the oil from the cup: the naan is fresh and made to order which was very airy and good. Would come here again.

Wasn’t too happy with the service or price of the restaurant section. We went there on a whim to try it, and the food came out burnt.

All these 5 star reviews must be fake! Most items on the menu and in the Unilocal pictures are not actually available in this awful restaurant inside an equally awful Pakistani grocery store. All they had was below average kabobs. The owner even said he will have all the items on the menu available in a week. So how are people mentioning specific items as ‘great’?

Best authentic Nihari you can get pretty much anywhere in North America. Great customer care by owner Asher who is passionate to cater hot & fresh Nihari, Paya, Deghi Qorma, BBQ items like Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka & Kofta Kabob with mouth watering clay own Naans. After dining in twice I had him prepare food for my daughters Mehndi/Mayon. Hydrabadi Biryani, Bombay Biryani, Chicken Karahi, Saag Aloo & Gola Kabobs were amazing and ready on the time promised. It is a small restaurant at this time(but wouldn’t be for long) by word of mouth and great food it has been getting really busy so call in before you get there to avoid any inconvenience. If you want to enjoy great food at a great price WITHOUT paying too much and WITHOUT forced 10 or 15% gratuity, this is the place.

If you care about ambiance then keep walking. However, if you are looking for amazing Karachi style Pakistani food then you definitely need to put this place at the top of your list. I have had Nihari in Pakistan, and all over the US.(Grew up in Chicago and well versed in Sabri/Usmania). This place has about the most authentic Nihari you can get without flying halfway across the world to get some. The chicken tikka was also very good as were the appetizers.(Samosa & Chicken Patties) Service is excellent(Very home-like) and the Naan was served hot and fresh. For me it does not get any better than this. Well worth a trip to Houston!

Really great food, and the owner is really friendly and welcoming. I tried tandoori chicken and it was really delicious. I will be going back to try some of their other dishes as well. Owner suggest that the nihari and biryani is really good too, I guess I will trying that next.

Again perfection! A lil short staffed today due to new years but worth the wait. Goat kahari, lamb over rice and hummus are amazing! This owner cares and every dish is a masterpiece with love and the best flavors you will ever experience! The owner gave us yogurt drinks on the house and apologized for the wait, very nice and much appreciated. Meals like these dont happen in 5 minutes and you will be rewarded when it does come, trust me!

Amazing food! I eat halal food all over and their chicken karahi, tandoori chicken plate, and beef nihari were all good. Prices super reasonable, service good, and would definitely recommend.

Great Pakistani food, I enjoyed everything I ordered. I left satisfied. The owner Ashar(?) was such a nice gentleman. He was very polite and made sure we were taken care of, it’s rare to meet such a humble business owner. Enjoyed everything, highly recommended. I don’t normally write reviews, and I’ve eaten at some of the finest establishments in Houston.

Absolutely delicious! Some of the best grill desi food I’ve had in a while! We randomly ended up going here and I’m glad I did. I tried the tandoori chicken, the chicken tikka, and the beef nihari. Everything was really good. The tandoori chicken and the chicken tikka were absolutely marinated to perfection and so juicy and tender. Definitely a place that is worth it. If you come here it is the food you are coming for. It’s kind of a hole in the wall. But the food is really delicious! Tip: the parathas here are really good. They go perfect with the tandoori chicken and the chicken tikka.

I have been craving some good mediterranean food for quite some time. So tonight I made a comment to my sister and her boyfriend that I wanted to have some for dinner. At first, she suggested Fadi’s or Phoenician’s Deli. I volunteered to check the times of these places and decided to use Unilocal. You can always trust Unilocal to find other places! I saw that this place had a 5 star rating for an inexpensive place. My curiosity grew after seeing the pictures on here. The food looks delicious but like always I had my doubts since filters and cameras in general can do wonders to food(& people) anyway, no regrets. The chef(or owner not sure) came out to greet us after we made way into a grocery store. The restaurant was inside a grocery store and you can imagine our puzzle and skeptical looks on our faces. The chef said they were sold out on a lot of food. My sister and I was surprised and disappointed BUT I guess after hearing our disappointed tone of voice the chef recommended other choices. My sister and her bf agreed to both chicken dishes and I ordered the chicken kabob. He kindly told us that it takes 15 mins to cook. We don’t mind at all. The wait was reasonable and he accommodated us with fresh pita bread and homemade hummus dip. It was delicious! Our food came out and the three of us literally just dove right into it. I can’t say much for their dishes but for the chicken kabob, it was juicy and tender and very flavorful. It matched well with the rice and salad that came with it. I ate all the chicken kabob. Overall, my experience here was great and I have to agree to what my sister said, it had been awhile since we had a good dinner, eating out. I highly recommend this place. I will be back!

Asalamwalaykum All So after reading the wonderful reviews on Unilocal,I decided to give this place a try! So glad I did! I ordered the Silver Spoon kabab roll, OMG to die for. Then since I love to eat I ordered a Chicken Kabob plate, the chicken sooooo tasty and flavorful, I’m craving some right now omg… soooo juicy and tender! And we also got Nihari which not only looked amazing but the taste! The owner(Ashar uncle) is also very friendly and provided excellent service!!! You must give this place a try! IA
