Why do they even hire people who aren’t gonna be helpful to the customer?! That mess gets very annoying. We(my mum and I) came here looking for the old printed camo, but in pink and couldn’t find any sales associates to assist us. Guess what? We searched to find one and when we found one, it was a young lady that acted like she didn’t speak English and and, and, told us she didn’t know. I don’t know is what I made out. Such a waste of time, I hate how some young people who are hired just to be even more lazy and don’t care. We left unhappy without what we were looking for.

Found 3 Texans shirts we wanted to purchase but none had tags on them, so they refused to sell it to us, even when we requested to just give us a price. They said this would mess up their inventory, which is understandable, but they made us wait for 20+ min before telling us this. The petite girl with long reddish brown hair just ignored us and searched for something on the screen the entire time we stood there waiting. We finally asked for a manager, Brian, who made us wait another 10+ min, before we finally decided to leave, shirtless. They silently just looked at us when we said could not wait anymore and did not care to apologize for the waste of time, inconvenience, lack of communication, and lack of customer service skills.

I have shopped at Academy Sports and Outdoors for years, and without a doubt this is the worst location I have visited when it comes to customer service. After searching the store to find an item, without receiving assistance from any of the employees; the cashier, who did not greet me, proceeded to argue with me about whether it was morning or afternoon, when I greeted her. This when it was only 10:00AM. I contacted customer service and as of yet have received no reply. There are other locations where the employees offer to help, or at least don’t avoid eye contact or go the other direction when seeking assistance. Corporate needs to get the management team replaced or at least stick a boot in their butt, to improve things.

Always a good experience at this location. If they display an item and it’s not in stock, they will call the other stores to see where it is located. They will either ship it to that location or you can choose to pick it up if you need it in a hurry. Great customer service.

Yesterday I went to this store to buy a pedometer, I found some in special 17.99 and I asked one of the employees to make sure they were the kind announced and the correct price, but when I got to the cashier the price was wrong and they were out of the special. The store manager, Angie was there and I noticed that the rack was all dusty and the articles were not in the right place, She didn’t even know what to say about it. These store needs more attention in cleanness and order. She should honor the price the employee told me.

Always someone to help you. If they don’t have it they will find a store that does or order it for you. But they need to work on keeping up with inventory a little better. Prices should be more competitive. I am a shopper and have been looking for a treadmill. They have a proforme I have seen and am drawn too for $ 799, but Sams has it for $ 499. If they would have had it in stock I may have bought it from here just because they deliver.
