I was pretty lucky when my car’s transmission blew on me a block from this place. They were able to come tow me within 10 mins.
I was very surprised about this place. J.R. makes this place what it is. He called me almost every day to give me a status update on my car, and gave me accurate estimates every time. I can tell he truly cares about the well being of my car.
The place itself isn’t the highest end place, but they really know their transmissions here. Really friendly service and they got everything fixed.
I had to come back in a second time because I got a CEL (check engine light). It corresponded to a neutral switch being open, which is related to the transmission. I brought it back and they got it back to me within 24 hours. My cruise control didn’t work still, so I’m bringing it in tomorrow again. Hopefully everything will be fixed after tomorrow.

Had a major transmission issue, and JR was honest and straightforward with my transmission issues, and even gave me options. He turned the repairs around quicker than I thought and called to give me updates. The price was a bit higher than I anticipated, but that can be attributed to the transmission parts for the rebuild. The car now runs well with only a belt noise that was not there before the vehicle was picked up. I am certain JR will take a look at it.

I found the details of this place over the net. Wasn’t sure when I first arrived and left my car repairs. But the gentleman (Mr JR) who worked on my car was extremely good at his job. He performed a thorough checkup, found the root cause and fixed my car. I would definitely recommend his workshop for Transmission related issues.

, figured I would give them a call. J.R. answered phone eagerly, gave me a quote, and said to «Stop on by!» Dropped off driveshaft for an import that needed some u-​joints replaced, he wasn’t there but someone else took delivery. He called me in a couple of hours and said «Your’re ready to rock and roll!» I walk back into shop, J.R. greets me, again with enthusiasm, and then thanked me for bringing this in for him to work on. He is either the owner or runs the place during the day. He then carried my part out to my car and finished the interaction with a good ‘ol fashioned handshake. I was very impressed to say the least. The price was good, the work was done fast, and the customer service is well beyond the norm here in H-​town.
