The gumbo was pretty good. The shrimp poboy was bland and tasted like subway made it. Better bread would step it up.

This was my second visit to this particular location. Everything I have got has been good, and hot. The service has been friendly as well. The Bloody Mary was very good. I should have done like one customer did, and buy it by the gallon. The only drawback I saw was, it was a little pricey. Even with that, I’ll still be back. I don’t mind paying for good food.

I decided to try Spahr’s Seafood in Houma after having dinner at Spahr’s Seafood in Thibodaux the night before. I knew the Crawfish stew was excellent and might have tried it again but the Friday special was white beans, and it was special. It came with a side of Catfish Chips of which I am now a fan. I took one star off because it is in the Ramada Inn and lacking in the cool neighborhood feel of the Thibodaux location, but the food was just as good.
