We absolutely love this restaurant! Great food, service, and a view of the river. Best hand cut French fries and local beers.

This place was a surprise. My husband and I came to eat lunch and get a couple beers on a Friday. I had some kind of IPA that was superb. Also they have this game called beer roulette and for 2.50 the bartender picks a good craft beer out of the pick for you to drink. It was so cool! I got a kona IPA which was brewed in Hawaii. I love it and we will be back!!!

Ate here one night when I was in town. They had a great craft beer selection and my burger was great. The ambiance inside isn’t much but the porch overlooking the creek is very nice. They have more of a bar food menu than the Iron Horse but their prices are better. I gave both places 4 stars but would have to choose this as my favorite between the two.

Sure they are on the creek with covered patio. Yes they have craft beer. Yeah, rachel is fun happy waitress. And the manager, tim. Wow. He took extra good care by returning my hoodie to me in denver. Definitely going back next time I am in hot springs.

This place had a great craft beer selection. I had a coal fired pizza with mushrooms and sausage. They were very generous with the cheese, although I could tell it wasn’t the highest quality mozzarella. Also the tomato sauce on the pizza was a major detractor. So the pizza was fine, but nowhere near the best The other two with me had the AT burger, and they absolutely loved it. They both ordered their burgers medium but both came out well done. Regardless, they thoroughly enjoyed them. Atmosphere was great, we sat outside next to the river. A guitarist entertained us. Waitress was absolutely excellent – surprising since she had just moved here from Wyoming. Plusses are the beer selection and the waitress and the atmosphere and the burger. Minuses, the pizza was clearly a disappointment compared to what it could have been.

Love, love, love this place! The food is delicious. I had a cobb salad for lunch and it was the best one I had ever had. The bacon and chicken was super fresh. Lots of blue cheese and hard boiled eggs. It was great. For dinner I had fish and chips and my boyfriend had a pizza. Both were absolutely great. We also stayed at the inn which is upstairs and that was an amazing experience as well. The room was spotless. The beds were super comfy. Loved the décor and the whole vibe of this place. Anyone that is looking for a getaway, this place is great! Affordable and totally worth the trip.

Absolute best dining option in Hot Springs. Friendly staff, enormous beer selection, and a patio on the creek. Their pizzas are woodfired and tasty. Salads are fresh. Everything is cooked just right. If you’re in town for the weekend, you will be making return trips here.

I’ve dined here three times in the past few months And though the service is not great, the food and casual, fun atmosphere is wonderful! In true Annie-and-Kyle fashion, each time we have ordered two meals to share. Every time, one of those meals has been a Cobb salad because it is fresh, huge, and tasty! It is a giant salad with Spring mix, bacon, chicken, tomato and egg. Yummmm. I’ve also tried a few different sandwiches, all good. With delicious waffle fries on the side. They’re crispy on the outside and soft inside. Spring Creek also has an awesome beer list with bunches of local and other craft beers. Bell’s Oberon, Oskar Blue’s IPA, and French Broad Wee-heavier to name a few. I make sure to eat and drink here every time I visit Hot Springs!

Amazing food and beer! The cheese sticks were delicious and the white zombie beer was just what I was craving after a day of hiking and site seeing! The staff was very helpful and laid back, and the service was quick. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a good meal and friendly faces! Wish we could have stayed later to enjoy the live band and evening entertainment.

Stopped here after a day of rafting the French Broad. This HIT the spot hands down. This tavern is located in downtown Marshall which is small and quaint. A really nice outside eating area that is covered is a great choice if there is a table available. Inside was a little warm so don’t come here expecting a nice cool place just a great place to grab a bite to eat and a drink if you prefer. I had the«Fish n Chips» and man I glad I chose this dish. Hands down the best catfish and fries I have had in a long time. The fish was large, fresh, and the batter was out of this world. The fries were spot on and were plentiful. We had 7 in our party and 5 out of the 7 had the fish n chips so that will tell you something as we were all full and ate EVERY bite… soooooooo good!!!

A good beer selection and some of the best«Tavern food» I’ve ever had. Instead of the typical mozzarella sticks, they roll salami and provolone. The pork rinds are made fresh!!! And the dipping sauce for the pork rinds was out of this world. I think he called it «barbalow» sauce. Ask for it. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll have to go check out one of the live bands.

We found this place while visiting the hot mineral springs. We sat on the patio next to the creek and watched traffic go by while we are. It was nice. The food is bar food. It’s good quality and everything was fresh. There were only a couple people there but we had good service. It’s a good spot to fill up before sitting in the mineral springs for an hour.

Every time I come up to Hot Springs, I always make it a point to drop in this place. The brick oven in the kitchen churns out great pizzas. The bar has no liquor, but has at least a dozen beers on tap and a nice selection of bottled and canned beers. The place is always packed with fun trendy people on Friday and Saturday nights. Why? Because they always have great live bands. There is ample bar and table seating for patrons. There is outside seating on a deck overlooking the creek. The staff is always friendly and service has never disappointed me. Next time you pass by, drop in for a pint and some pizza! You will be glad you did!

The food was delicious and the cook was very nice, he brought us our food was very polite and even got our silverware for us. I would say the food is a little over priced but not too bad, the main things were our server wasn’t very attentive she had us waiting for the menus for awhile never brought us silverware, it got better towards the end but still. Also we sat out on the patio and flies were everywhere, I know you have to expect that sitting outside but there were just way too many. Overall I’d say it could have been better but the food was pretty good. I’m not sure if I would go back.

While camping in the area, we decided to walk to the nearby restaurants and taverns. Spring creek was our third and final stop on the hop. They were very busy, especially compared to the other surrounding dining options, but that didn’t put a damper on the excellent service. This is the hot spot for the locals. Here, we weren’t the only ones sitting at the bar. There was a band playing out on the patio, I can’t comment on how good they were because I couldn’t really hear them from the inside. They seemed to have the most beers on tap, of all three dining taverns that we tried. Like the other places, they only serve beer and wine, no liquor. My husband ordered a brick oven baked pizza. You can watch them fix it and then briefly put it in the brick oven, right behind the bar. If you’re a pizza fan, you might not want to miss this place. I personally wasn’t too fond of it, but I am not a pizza fan.

So taking into consideration is the last stop before leaving NC to TN this watering hole is a great little stop. Yes it only has beer and wine(its a mountain county of only 21K people) Yes it has a more slanted bar food menu, but it is a bar mainly(hence the Tavern name) Yes, I live near by, so I’m biased *grin*. Seriously, nice staff, cool patio by a little stream and live music throughout the week… a nice little place.
