I only go to this store if I have to. Use the restroom before going here because it’s absolutely disgusting!

The worst customer service I’ve witnessed in at least 24 hrs. And I have witnessed a lotta customer service people. Last Thursday, Long story short. My oldest kid needs a book for school. Wife orders from amazon. Doesn’t know what she’s doing.(Like most women) I go to BAM to try and get it sooner. Doesn’t stock, I place an order through the desk. Pay for overnite shipping. Still waiting on book. Called twice and they tell me it’s my responsibility to find it by the tracking. The home office was less helpful than the local store. Shane is the guy here. You need to inform your customers that there’s a «processing» time ya idiot. Processing meaning someone has to get off their fat ass in the warehouse and stick the book in a box, then put a label on it and ship the damn thing. Oh and btw, there’s never anyone at the snack bar either. The store is dirty and the floor looks nasty. A business makes money by «selling», not standing around talking about how many bottles of purple passion you guzzled last night.

I had never been to a BAM(I guess that’s what people call these bookstores), but was enthralled with their selection! In Portland, we have Powell’s, a four-story bookstore that takes up an entire city block, so it takes a lot to impress me. BAM had an excellent variety. The only thing that shocked me was the state of the store. It. Was. A. Mess. Like, THE messiest store I had ever been in. And I’ve gone shopping around the holidays. Calendars were placed in stacks on the floor. Books were misshelved. It was super messy. It still didn’t stop us from liking the store, though. BAM!
