Adventureworks Hot Springs

So much to say about this awesome experience! This was our first time ziplining, and we had a blast! Our guides, Bryan and Avery made the experience safe, fun, hilarious, and exhilarating! It was raining that day, however, there were no issues with the line or the experience.
Please keep in mind, it’s an outdoor activity, so there is always the possibility that you might get scraped or bruised if you don’t pay attention to the directions they give you to stop, etc. As far as the water situation, they have water about halfway through the experience, so it’s not too bad. Also, it is not very physical demanding, so you won’t be dying of thirst, or worn out from climbing etc. Also, if it’s rainy, bring boots or shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy. Also, we had an awesome welcoming committee at some of the ziplines! Forrest the little puppy! He’s so adorable!

We were zip line newbies but have wanted to try this experience for some time. The booking process through their website was simple and quick.
We arrived for check in and, after standing around for a bit, were taken to get geared up and hear the safety briefing. This is a gravity line facility, so you are shown how to stop on your own power (no heavy gloves needed for braking). Of course, there is an employee standing by at the end of the line to assist you.
There are 12 lines ranging in length and height. One even glides over a wide creek and gives us taller people the chance to drag your feet through the water. There are also a couple of bridges to traverse during the time on the course. The whole family enjoyed the experience and look forward trying zipping again!
As for kids, our 8 year-​old completely enjoyed zip lining and was quickly throwing his hands out and yelling with excitement each time he went down the lines. However, there were 4 other kids in our group (around our son’s age) who enjoyed it in the beginning, but soon some of them began to loudly complain about the warm temperatures, how long it was taking, and/​or being thirty. I’m just saying… know your kids’ limits and prepare them for this so you and your kids can enjoy this fun activity.

Our guides Tyler and Derek took great care of us. Safety was a priority for them but they made sure we all had a great time. I am scared of heights and they made sure to explain each line and how they work. I felt safe with them. They have water stations placed throughout the course. Our 17yr old son said it was his favorite activity. I highly recommend them.

It’s close to 100 degrees out this time of year. First thing I noticed is that when the group in the time slot before us finished they take off their equipment and place it back in with the rest of the gear without any disinfecting or cleaning. My helmet smelled like a laundry bag of sweaty gym clothes. Imagine what that was like running down my face? They only had 2 water stations on the course, one no longer had ice and the other was just about empty so not everyone was able to get enough needed in this heat. The course itself was all from tree stands to the ground. The landing areas were the worst part of this place. Some of the zip lines were too loose so that you may come in too low and scrape your body against the ground. Some landing areas have a wooden ramp but they are not all lined up properly. Breaking requires you to drag your feet or if facing forward, hit the ground running and eventually the guide will help stop you with his «rope». It seems our guide «T» from NY was more interested in flirting with the cute girl his age then the safety of the rest of us. This place did not offer any photo or video opportunities and offered no refreshments at the end of the course. Save your money and find something else to do

We went zip lining today and had a wonderful time (despite the heat). The guides were great. Very funny and very knowledgable. They were great with the younger and older people in our group. If you are out of shape, know that there are a large amount of steps to climb at different zip stations. One is 100ft in the air. They had water stations at certain points during the course. No bathrooms so go before you get there.
The only reason I am doing 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of view on ten course. It is all closed in the trees. No view of the hills, no rivers or ponds. There is one course over a smaller stream.
If you have not zip lined before I highly recommend. The kids will have a great time!
