What a pleasant experience. 500 miles from home on a bike trip, and my dérailleur cable explodes. Drove to Parkside at opening time and they promptly took care of my bike. Great mechanic. The owner went out of his way to explain the local trails and make some recommendations. Thanks to him we really enjoyed the Cedarglades MTB trail(check it out). I’m sorry it don’t recall your names guys, but thanks a bunch. You made my bike trip better.

So glad I didn’t judge this shop by Unilocal reviews! This place is a true gem. Not only was the staff extremely helpful and efficient, the shop carries only the best cycling gear. If you are a tourist looking for a cheap rental, this may not be the place for you. But if you are a true cyclist, this is a five star shop! And they even put me in contact with a cycling group for a nice 55 miler through the countryside. Excellent place. I will be back.

I had an interest in the sport, and decided to stop by and find out some more information on bike prices, types, and equipment. Jan was extremely helpful in helping me make an informed decision on bike. They put me a couple let me ride around until I found one that worked for what I needed. I will be back for all my biking needs. Always helpful and friendly.

While in Hot springs on vacation I managed to destroy my rear derailer on my stumpjumper team. Finding Parkside on the web I zip over there and ask them to throw on a spare I had in my bag. They were friendly folks and the owner who was there that day was helpful. They agreed to do the work and call me. It only took one day and the bike was ready. I picked it up and took it to a county trail and couple miles away. Unfortunately the chain snapped as soon as I put pressure on it. I threw the bike into the truck and headed back, frustrated. I showed the issue to the mechanic who explained the issue was my supplied part. He searched around in the shop found me a new derailer that was compatible with my ride(difficult as I have a 7 speed rear with long cage). He located one and promptly put it on the bike while I waited. He had me in and out in under 30 minutes. Really friendly people who were willing to help an out of towner in a pinch. Not something you find everyday in a small town.
