I had dinner with my ex’s family at Buona Via Ristorante about two years ago and I am just getting around to writing my review. They made a reservation for an early weekend dinner and we were seated promptly at a large round table in the corner. It was not crowded when we arrived, but by the end of our our meal the dining room was packed! We shared several appetizers around the table, calamari, bruschetta, and mozzarella caprese. All of them were delicious; but the caprese being my last favorite of the three. I had the fish special for my entrée, it was excellent, flavorful and came with great side dishes. Since it was so long ago, I do not recall what everyone else ordered for their entrees, but I know that they were all extremely pleased with their meals and some even had to take leftovers home because their meals were so large. As with most Italian restaurant, they brought around the dessert cart and we could not resist! I had the cannoli cake and it was fabulous! We had a bottle of wine and a few of the men had vodka drinks, that they reported were made very strong(props to the bartenders)! We also had two small children with us; the servers and kitchen staff was more than accommodating in making substitutions for their meals and bringing them extra bread to snack on during the appetizer/salad courses of our meals. I grew up about 15 minutes away from Buona Via Ristorante’s current location and I wish there were more places like this when I lived in the burbs. A decent meal is hard to come by with all of the huge chain restaurants. I highly recommend them if you live near by!

I have no idea why so many people think that highly of the food here. Don’t get me wrong the food was not bad by any means however for the price I expected much better quality. I ordered the medium rare filet mignon and it was definitely overcooked, additionally they over caramelized the top of the crème brulee(nearly burnt). However the service was very entertaining they kept our party of 15 very amused. The entire staff has very thick Italian accents which makes it somewhat difficult to understand at times. Furthermore some of the staff doesn’t even speak English that being said I was impressed by the service. They regularly checked in on us and were readily available other than the ones that couldn’t speak English. In the end I had a great time but that may have been thanks to the several glasses of wine and martini’s. I just wish the food was better

Went here on Christmas Eve. Not too crowded. Seated and served immediately. Fantastic appetizers and amazing specials! We had the Mahi Mahi and Sword Fish. Both were excellent. Great service too. Everything you would expect from a high end restaurant. Highly recommended.

I had to give this a star but it should have zero. This is the worst restaurant in the area. Over priced, the staff thinks they are doing a favor by serving you and the food is mediocre at best. The drinks are watered down, I watched it the waiter with my own eyes at the bars add more soda and ice and change the glass to appear like they are giving you more. I order the shrimp and lobster risotto, I could only find 2 shrimp and a trace of lobster, I sent it back and then never saw the waiter again. To make the meal even worse they had a sardine appetizer special that was served to the table behind us, the smell was so bad that one of our guest who is a, Lerwick to all fish items had to leave the restaurant because of the smell, she could have had an allergic reaction, i too left holding my scarf over my nose and I felt and still feel ill from the smell. Oh and the busser who cleared the table did so in such an obnoxious way, almost spilled the p, ate of olive oil all over my shoulder, but didn’t acknowledge me when I said something to her about it. I had been to this place 2 times because it was a work function, I’ll NEVER go back again.

I order for pick up. The manager or owner was extremely freindly but the host on the phone was another story. Not that she was nasty but it seemed like she wasn’t well trained. I, asked for baked clams and for clams casino which comes with bacon. My wife loves baked clams but does not like bacon at all. She was very disappointed with that. The pasta was very good thou. Prices were too high. I have eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants before so I know how much certain food averages out to be. I give this place 3 stars because food was good but not great. I’m would have ranked it power but the owner/manager was so nice he bumped it up by one more star

The filet was amazing! I have been to a lot of places recently and always ended up sending back my steak/food. Let me just say sooo yummy, mash potatoes so creamy, steak melted in your mouth and seasoned perfect! While I wasn’t thrilled with the service, could have been a little more friendly. We(11year old, & hubby) all really enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. We will definitely be going back!

I hit this place at least once a month and they never disappoint. Fantastic food no matter what I order, incredible friendly service(and I have been there with from 2 — 30 people). They also have a great upstairs space for larger groups. Only negative is their very limited parking, but I will deal with that as this is one of the best restaurants in town!!!

I dined here on Sunday afternoon with 5 other people in my family– my 3 kids, husband, and my mother-in-law. I’ve always passed this restaurant and heard good things about it, so we decided to try it out. Based on the online reviews, I though it would be average experience. We were all hungry and this place was open and close by. From the outside and the inside décor, it looks beautiful. But the place was empty. There were two other groups when we arrived. We were seated and were promptly given water. I noticed a dark speck in my glass as the waiter Antonio was filling my daughter’s glass. Upon inspection I saw that it was a fruit fly. I asked for another glass of water and the waiter seemed a little aloof. He didn’t ask if something was the matter. He just left with the glass and came back with another glass with water. No apologies or sincerity. All of the adults ordered the mushroom risotto, while the kids ordered off the kids’ menu. Antonio took our order but was never warm or welcoming. He didn’t suggest anything or tell us the specials that I heard him tell another group on diners. The food took a bit of time to come out, but they offered us a bread basket. When the food came out, I was surprised with how small the adult portions were. When I tasted my dish, I felt that it was watery and not the creamy texture you’d expect from well-made risotto. It lacked flavor, but since I was hungry, I ate more than half of my dish. My husband and MIL ate very little, and felt the same way I did. My kids loved the fries(which was probably a bag of precut and frozen potatoes purchased wholesale) and ate some of their food. The prices were fairly high for what we were given. The kids’ meals were $ 11 each, and it came with a drink and one tiny scoop of ice cream(chocolate or vanilla). Out final bill was about $ 100. We didn’t order any extra drinks. Based on the horrible service from a waiter who seemed to not want to be there, the high prices, sub-par food, and fruit fly incident, I strongly suggest you skip this place and try anything else! I know we’ll never dine here again.

First of all, the service was great and then just okay. It started off well with the waiter getting our order right away, being helpful and coming back promptly to check on us, but after a while there was no sign of him. At some point, you only see the busser, who is the type to come around your table before you are really finished. The service gets a B-. The ambiance was not for me and I give it a C. On Fridays they have live entertainment, which is nice for those who enjoy live music, but it can be overbearing when the singing is louder than those trying to have a conversation. The bar and dining area are separate, but it doesn’t serve as a divider for the sound. However, just because the ambiance was bad that day, doesn’t mean it’s a terrible restaurant. What really redeemed both of those(and the limited parking that they have), was the owner who came out to the parking lot and actually cared a little. The cleanliness of the restaurant was an A and the taste of the food gets an B+. It really depends on your taste buds, doesn’t it? My girlfriend disliked my Linguine Vongole, but I loved it(especially the amount of clams given, even if they were tiny). Admittingly, the dish was salty, but I enjoy salty food(even if my health doesn’t). She liked her Orechiette con Rapini e Gamberoni, but I thought it was okay(bland for me and she didn’t enjoy the spinach). What we both enjoyed was our appetizer and wine. We had the Prosciutto e Melone(very unique), which I recommend with wine. She drank the Pinot Noir Due Torri, thanks to the waiter’s suggestion and she loved it. I drank the Valpolicella Rippasso, which I enjoyed(both are red wines). In all, we spent $ 75($ 90 including tip). I want to give the restaurant a 3.5, but that’s not an option, so I round up. It sounds like I complained more than complemented, but I am a positive person who doesn’t judge too much on one visit. The restaurant has character and we will go back!(Besides, they have a great list of beverages).

Waste of money and time. Service was terrible! We sat 45 minutes and only received our drinks and our server didn’t take our food order so I asked a different server if he would take our food order so we could maybe have dinner sometime this century. He apologized and explained they were short-staffed and that he stayed beyond his day shift to help out. Meanwhile the place is empty, I counted 7 tables that were not big parties. 3 servers and 1 food runner. So aside from our service being absolutely terrible, the food portions were very small and it was ridiculously expensive. Save your money and time and go somewhere else!

We had a terrible experience here for a Sunday brunch with a group of 12. The service was incredibly slow, and we had a pile of empty plates sitting in the middle of the table for nearly 30 minutes before the server finally decided to take them away. The food was over cooked and very bland. When our bill came, the server charged us $ 22 for a 3year old(brunch is supposed to be free for children under 5). Additionally, the gratuity was included for $ 78 when the service was absolutely awful. Over priced and not a good brunch spot. Look else where.

The worst Resturant, both food & service. Served cold bruschetta, over cooked salmon. My husband ordered pasta, could have opened a canned pasta that tasted better. The service was horrible. Giving this place a star is too generous.

Went to many fine Italian restaurants. This is one of the worse I’ve been to. The service was bad so the food. We ordered the seafood paster undercooked linguine too hard to swallow. Took forever to get the check service slowww especially the place had a few tables. We were charged twice for the same dish. Lunch for two over $ 50 not worth it.

Went there Wednesday night, service was bad, the special was a pile of overcooked mush and undercooked lobster. Clams and linguine was way too salty. All the staff was too busy with larger parties to ask if our food was okay. They came to our table to clear the plates and left. First time and last time going to this restaurant. Pay attention to your check as they tried to charge for drinks that was included in the kids meal. The staff needs to learn to ask how everything was to their customers not assume that everything is ok. Calamari and oyster were good.

Italian restaurants are usually not my first choice picks… but I came here with my extended family back in May. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Our big group got several different appetizers/entrees… from salads to chicken to oysters… and everyone seemed pleased with their choices. The menu is on the pricier side but worth a try if you want Italian food for a nice occasion, date night, or just because.

Lately I am finding myself going out alot in the fine area of Horsham, PA which is where Buona Via happens to be. First off, they have a GREAT Happy Hour menu which is what really got my fire burning, so when I had the chance to go for lunch — I had to go and I am sure glad that I did! Their lunch menu is huge and when you walk in you see a huge dessert cart(these are the days I wish I could eat gluten and dairy) and then you round the corner to an amazing lunch salad bar! This salad bar had everything on it including bean and pasta salads, fresh sliced meats and cheese and fruit. It was absolutely delicious! The service was awesome the entire time and we had a group of 14, so that says something.
