Despite all of the negative reviews. I find the hotel very nice and I slept like a log! We were done driving so we saw this nicely lit hotel and stopped for the night. Breakfast was really yummy, free internet, what else can you ask for. It was near mammoth cave too we found out. So overall great hotel.

For being one of the more expensive hotels in the area this hotel was horribly disappointing. At check-in the clerk seemed annoyed that we were there and in a hurry to get back to his girlfriend that was in the lobby. The rooms were worn and musty and the carpet was soaking wet by the air conditioner. The TV only showed 5 channels, and when I asked about it at the front desk the same clerk showed similar disdain. The WiFi made me long for the dial up connections. The breakfast was the topping of this miserable stay with rubbery eggs, no milk for cerial, watered down OJ, and frozen bagels. Again the staff was rude and complacent. So much for Southern hospitality! My advice is to stay elsewhere, even a motel 6.

I have stayed many times in Horse Cave and Cave City and this is 5 star in the area. Our room was clean. we asked for a rollaway bed and it was there in 5 minutes. The pool was great and so was the whirlpool.

Came in as a late night guest(couldn’t keep my eyes open on the road any longer). The front desk was courteous and nice, but did not give me my snack/drink for being a member. My room wasn’t very clean or tidy. Bathroom towels were just thrown on racks not very nicely. Everything on counter was also not tidy and just shoved everywhere. Coffee stains on the counter as well. Toilet was clean but the seat was left up and no toilet paper on the roll. Shower had mildew on the soap racks and I only got about 5 minutes of hot water in the shower. I was really looking forward to a long hot shower after 13 hours on the road in bad weather. Also, the shower mat was dirty, so I had to use a towel to step on. Beds were not neat like the normal Hamptons I’ve stayed at. Everything was pretty dusty as well. Floors were dirty and there were ladybugs all over the room. I don’t think any of it was an issue of the hotel, but their cleaning staff. It wasn’t what I expected from the other Hamptons I’ve stayed in. All in all, probably wouldn’t stay again. Just make my way down to Bowling Green and stay there.

Stayed 1 night on return business trip from Louisville, KY. Convenient location off highway. Nothing around at that exit, but some food can be found 6 miles south in Cave City. Front desk was courteous, however was trying to juggle several phone calls. Did not acknowledge I was a HH member nor did I get the complementary drink/snack. Not the typical pleasant Hampton Check Inn; Large room, clean but dated. Carpet as seen better days. Not the typical well appointed Hampton room. No bath mat instead they left hand towel to use. Even though room was next to highway, extremely quiet. A/C under window operated with local controls. No wall thermostat. Hotel located in central time zone; TV on air channel guide in Eastern time zone… Did not stay for breakfast, had to leave very early. Love’s fuel stop located on other side of highway. Very convenient for fresh brewed coffee before 06:00 a.m. No great restaurants nor alcohol sales in area. Cave city has fast food. Front desk provided list of local restaurants, but I was too tired too go exploring. Ate dinner at cracker barrel next exit down. It was OK for the one night or if I was visiting the caves, but would be hard pressed not to drive past and stay in Bowling Green just down the road.

Great stay, room was clean, enough towels for the family. A warm breakfast buffet with a meat sausage patty, pre-made egg of the day, waffle machine, usual breads, cereals. Buffet was allowed to get low of numerous items and so I went to the desk to get the attendant who took care of missing items.(yogurts, bagels, fruit, muffins) Room Heating a/c controls are on the under window unit not on a wall mounted thermostat. It has a pool(small) but big enough and a hot tub. Hotel is one exit North, up from the Mammoth Cave NP exit on I-65. So, only 15 min away from the Park’s visitor center. Not much else near by but a gas station or two with a good size convince store with-in. Some restaurants in the small town, Horse Cave Ky.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights while we enjoyed a caving weekend in Kentucky. The hotel was very clean, nicely decorated, and the free breakfast was good and filling. Lots of families stayed here. The rooms were quiet. The lobby/breakfast area had a flatscreen TV over the fireplace, which it was very helpful when the Sunday morning storms came through: tornados, high winds, heavy rain. Guests even had control of the remote to adjust the volume.(I am slightly hearing-impaired). Staff at the front desk was very helpful — when we asked where she would relax and eat out, she gave us several good suggestions(see my reviews for Mazatlan and El Patron). I needed more shampoo for my long hair, it was given freely with a smile, no waiting. The free WiFi access worked perfectly. The pool was clean, the hot tub was hot and also clean. The bathroom was VERY nice: curved shower, great spray, hot water, and the vanity appeared to be furniture-style. This hotel was perfect for a weekend get-away, and would be ideal for a traveling family. Weird: pure white bed covering. Negative: Pillows too soft. But plenty of them… :)
