This is fantastic American style Chinese food. It’s always warm and huge portions. We always order pick-up and it only takes about 20 minutes. It’s perfect comfort food. I love the sesame chicken and the cream cheese wontons are to die for. The interior is obviously an afterthought and I’d rather eat at home than there. But Chinese food was meant to be eaten on the couch while watching tv.

Ordered Mongolian Beef got Mongolian Onions. This was 98% onions(really 99% but didn’t want to exaggerate) a couple of pieces of some sort of protein(not sure beef) and a big container of onions for 10.00 the food was cold and the worst food I have ever paid for. Be afraid.

First time ordering from this place and didn’t enjoy my food so much. Ordered hot and spicy chicken and it was mostly vegetables. No spice and probably 6 pieces of chicken. The fried rice needed more seasoning and was a bit on the dry side. I was disappointed. I probably won’t try here again. But it could be the place for you if you want something simple. Oh and the delivery was on time. Even though the place was a few mins away, delivery took 40 mins and it actually came in 40 mins.

Like other reviews, breading not meat and after 90 minutes of waiting for our food and being told«leaving now» we received $ 5 off! How nice of them. Try Star Wok or China Palace(better of the two).

We ordered our food around 6pm and were told that it would be about 45 minutes. 60 minutes later, we decided to cash and check on the status of our delivery. The kid on the phone said the delivery person was leaving«right now» and that we were the first stop. Thankfully, we live about 2 miles away, so we figured 10 minutes if the driver hit all red lights. 45 minutes later we still did not have our food. Nothing in Hopkins is 45 minutes away. When we tried to call again, the line was busy and continued to be busy for another 20 minutes — meanwhile, still no food. By the time we got through on the phone, more than two hours had passed. When we told then to cancel the order, they refused, and charged us anyway. We promptly reversed the charges and ordered from Star Wok like we should have done in the first place.

Disgusting. No other word can be used. We ordered delivery and frankly I would have called to complain but whoever put that dog food into a carton and sent it out the door just doesn’t care so what’s the point. I ordered the lemon chicken. It was cold, and that’s the best part of the meal. It looked like someone dumped out the fryer let it sit on the counter for a few hours then scraped it into the container and sent it out. I threw it out. My girlfriend ordered the seafood delight and that actually LOOKED good. It was cold as well but at least they use the processed seafood strips you buy from the gas station instead of fresh seafood. The shrimp still had the tails on them and the scallops were plain mush. Will NEVER eat there again. Just hideous!

Ok at best. This place has been around forever in Hopkins. Maybe that’s the problem they stopped caring or are bored with the business. The food is typical fried and/or warmed up quick in a wok with oil dishes. The inside of the restaurant looks like they stopped caring years ago, with worn furniture, walls and floors from the 1970’s era. See pictures

We ordered delivery from work at 11:00 this morning for delivery between 11:30 and noon at the latest. It arrived just before 1:00PM. I leaving work at 12:30, I wound up staying until 1:00 to get my food. I brought it home and it was inedible. I wound up throwing over ½ of the«meal» away. Several of the other packages were delivered squished with food all over the bag that it was delivered in. I will NEVER order hear again. Poor service and terrible food! Avoid if you can. I would rate it 0 if I could. I just called to complain and they re — acted like I had a very usual complaint and only offered to put our orders to the front of the line in the future(I told him that I would not be ordering from them again).

When you walk in your body stiffens up, and you think oh sarah jessica parker this place is nasty. Our food order was wrong, it took 45 minutes past expected time. After the host told us about the wait she procceded to sit down at the table next to us with a giant pile of wonton and cheese and roll them, without gloves on. Holy balls. skip this place.

Terrible, I ordered today, called them before 9pm. Mind you I live a couple blocks away from them, called them again twice before they closed, someone on the other line said it will come it’s just that they are running late. Almost 3 hours later after 12 calls no food, have a headache from hunger. Please consider some place else next time your hungry.

Boyfriend and I recently moved to Hopkins so we have been exploring the local area. Sunday night we were hungry for Chinese so we went driving down Main Street. Glad we did because we found this gem. The customer service is what sold me on this place. The workers were super polite and attentive. We had take out but while we were there they treated us like eat in customers. Checking to see if we needed water and if everything was alright. The food was yummy. Your average Americanized Chinese food. We had the lo mein, egg foo young and fried rice. The egg foo young and the lo mein were delicious! The fried rice could use work but still satisfying.

I was eager to try this place after reviews on Unilocal.I used to live on the west side of Minnetonka and had a go-to Chinese restaurant that I loved. Now, living on the east side of Minnetonka, I needed to find a new place close by & was hoping Jasmine Garden would be it! Upon walking into the restaurant, I was immediately worried. The place looks unkempt and unsanitary — whether it actually is or not. I wouldn’t dine-in here. The staff is polite, but not overly friendly. I ordered a pint of Chicken & Broccoli. They were very generous on the broccoli, but I only got like 4 small pieces of chicken. The entrée tasted good though for the price. The cream cheese wontons were average… a little lacking on the cream cheese(95% wonton/5% cream cheese). I may eat here again when in a pinch or time crunch, but it isn’t going to be my new go-to. Bummer!

I love chinese food… and I am a fan of the fast food chinese restaurants. When I moved out to the Minnetonka/Hopkins area I needed to know the local places. Jasmine Garden’s had a good rating so I decided to go there. Now, my review comes from being there 3 times. Why three times? Because the food is pretty good. So that’s the positive in this… their food is good. Negatives time: So the first time I went, really no complaints. However the second and third time… that’s when it got bad. The second time I waited a good while for my food. It was slightly busy so I understood. I decided to pay attention to how the business was run. Seemed like a local family owns the place. They talk about a lot of personal stuff in front of their customers. One of the kids that works there, he was helping cook the food and decided to listen to music while he did. He had headphones, but what was pretty gross was after he handled his phone, he didn’t wash his hands. That is not sanitary at all! The third visit… which was tonight… same guy, wiping his nose with his hands and wiping his hands on his shirt… was cashiering. Not a polite guy… probably in HS doesn’t know any better. He isn’t very welcoming. Anyway, when I called in my order, he told me 20 – 25 min… since I waited last time I showed up in 35ish minutes. I still waited for my food and nobody else as around picking up food. So I observed again… the floors are disgusting so I can only image the back is just as gross. And this time the kid was eating his food all around the clean dishes. From my point of view, his plate was on top of all the clean plates! And he was hanging in the kitchen, bagging food up… kinda gross and not sanitary again. So that’s my problem with this place… it isn’t sanitary… they don’t keep the place clean and I can only imagine what gross crap gets into the food. Granted I can’t see the kitchen I can only guess if the front of the house isn’t kept clean, they are not cleaning the fryers and what not like they probably should be. So check it out if you’d like… the food is decent… but not worth the sanitary risks… that this kid doesn’t understand and the owners don’t seem to regulate. BTW…Star Wok is right across the street… their website is exactly the same and their menu is too… I can only imagine it is owned by the same people. Unless there is some standard menu all places must use…

Jasmine Garden has got to be my #1 for Chinese takeout– delivery. While I know Sweet and Sour Chicken is an Americanized dish, it’s still my first choice. In one of their combos, you get huge portions of s&s chicken, pork fried rice and an eggroll. Their pork fried rice is wonderful(sometimes may be a little too greasy). I would really recommend substituting the eggroll for their cream cheese wontons instead. The eggrolls here are wrapped in that too thick of an eggroll wrapper and are filled with a boat load of cabbage. No thank you. Cream cheese wontons are great if you get them while they are still hot. Their fried chicken wings are appetizing, too. I usually have leftovers for a few days, makes for a nice work lunch. I always get excited for lunch when I have leftovers from Jasmine Garden. The service is usually pretty good here. Sometimes they deliver a little later than they estimated. I would recommend calling Jasmine Garden for takeout when you don’t feel like making dinner.

For what it is, the food is good. The steamed veggies and shrimp = my favorite. Food is always hot and always give plenty of sauce and fortune cookies. Good portions. It’s fast food Chinese but it’s still good. Be prepared — if you order after 430, it takes a good hour to get it delivered. Actually, we had pick up a few times and it took well over an hour. If you don’t mind waiting awhile, then give them a call.

Delivery Chinese food = good! Delivery Chinese food that doesn’t break the bank = woohoo! Jasmine Garden is your typical takeout Chinese food place. It’s a bit greasy and sometimes could stand to be improved, but overall, it’s good and not too expensive. I also love that they deliver, but it can be pretty slow. Order in advance if you want it delivered by a certain time!
