Handshakes Bar & Grill

Love the burgers, just don’t go hungry. The service is so bad! Waited over an hour and a half for 2 burgers, and our wings came out only 5 min before that. Had to order a glass of wine 4x from the same waiter, he kept forgetting the name. Really like the food & small town feel but the service and wait times are atrocious!

Small bar with great food. They have the best wings (try them with «handshakes sauce»). Plenty of TVs upstairs to catch a game. Owner is friendly and is always there.

Service was slow and the place was not busy. Burgers are huge and just ok.

— Unilocaled this place because it was St. Patrick’s Day evening and wanted to celebrate in some sort of fashion. The place looks like a nice-​sized house but inside more like a restaurant. You can choose to sit downstairs in the dining room which is more cozy, quiet and well, like a restaurant should be. Upstairs is the bar! Pool table, bar style seating and a lot louder. I sat up there. I ordered a delicious Guinness Draught and a burger which comes with corned beef on it as well as 1,000 Island dressing. It was superb. I had an awesome experience there and would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Pretty typical bar food, atmosphere and service. Can be busy. We generally get take out and the order is always correct and the girl Brooke who usually grabs the phone is super nice!

We will never go back! When we went during the summer, the ac was broken! Made the dining experience very uncomfortable. I ordered the all you can eat ribs and wings– but since the waitress never returned, they decide what is «all you can eat»! I finally got her attention and asked for more wings but was told they were all out! Then I sat for 15 minutes watching her serve wings to all the tables around us! I had gone before and enjoyed it– but there are too many other choices in restaurants to take a chance again.

Pre ordered wings on Friday for Superbowl. Pickup was at 5:15. When i got there, there was a huge line of people waiting to pickup still from 4:00. waited over an hour had to leave because wings still werent ready at kickoff. Worst management and handling of a situation i have ever seen at a restaurant. Everyone was very upset and several people left without getting their order. Terrible job Handshakes. Heres some advice … Dont take on orders you cant fulfill — i will never go back to this place ever again and i was a regular there … How do you do that to people and no manager came out to say anything to the angry mob

Comfortable neighborhood joint for solid bar food… burgers, wings, etc. Good selection of beers and wines. Good with kids. Service can be hit or miss, depending on your server. Thursday night is big with all you can eat wings and ribs. Go early. We go about once a month and are rarely disappointed.

There’s two floors, the bar is upstairs! Pool table and music box!
Waiter was slow but the guy next to me informed me she was new. Whatever though, I was in no rush.

First time here, was led here cause I heard great things about the place. Easy parking, clean bathrooms although smell in restroom down stairs was not all that great (out of air freshener) great ideas & concepts on the menu execution was not all there with the food. Service was just ok. Bright bubbly personality from our server, accommodating felt welcome there. Being only table there most of the stay in formal dining room, Server had lots of side work to do must have felt it was more important to get that done 1^st before coming over to see if we needed refills. Unfortunately we only drank hot water & cold water due to our dietary needs. I really just wanted it to have a better experience there. Will try again it was just lagging a bit on a slow Sunday. although prices seem fair for a American restaurant.

Was tired of the chain restaurants in the area and wanted to try a local joint with my family. We were seated and given menus and that was the only contact we had with the staff. We decided on what we wanted but no one even bothered to take our drink order. Other people were seated and helped but we sat for twenty minutes waiting. As we left, not one member of the staff asked us if something was wrong. I guess they make so much money from their ‘regulars” that they don’t need ours.

First time eating here and will definitely come back. Had the Mac and cheese egg rolls. Awesome and also a handshakes burger. Damn tasty. It was a take out order so don’t know about wait staff.

Handshakes wings with extra handshakes sauce FTW! Food has always been good when I’ve gone. Ribs are great and so are the sandwiches. I haven’t tried much else beyond that, but the places has been there for years and is always packed with people. If you go the wings are a MUST!

I had the buffalo chicken platter it was very good. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. We were the only ones in there at 12:30 on a Friday though — hope business gets better

I used to drive by this place all the time, until someone told me that they have unlimited ribs and wings on Thursdays. I was too excited to even take a picture. The ribs were phenomenal, nice and tender, the rice and vegetables were rather plain so. The wings were perfect especially with the handshake sauce which is sweet and tangy. They aren’t those wrinkled and shriveled or steroid wings you may find at Buffalo Wild Wings or Dallas bbq. For once I felt like I was eating actual chicken. The appetizers were amaze! I had the rib and Mac and cheese egg rolls, light fried crispy wrap with rib meat and Mac and cheese inside accompanied by this southwestern dip. The service was great despite there only being one waitress. She was on top of her game. Check it out !

This place has good food at very reasonable prices. The wings and the baby back ribs with the BBQ sauce are great. The bar area is upstairs away from the dining room (on the first floor) so if they have a game on and it gets a little noisy you hear nothing downstairs. Have been going there for a few years now.

Never got a chance to eat, there is no handicap entrance. My dad is in a power chair & we couldn’t enjoy a lunch at Handshakes, a place we kept passing & couldn’t WAIT to try. Why have handicap parking spaces if you don’t have accommodations to get those customers in the door?

Nothing beats unlimited ribs and wings on Thursday night and the staff is phenomenal !!! The new menu is awesome too !

They have great deals, and some of the best wings around. Try half Handshakes sauce and half buffalo, you will not be disappointed. The dining area is downstairs, but I prefer the bar upstairs with music, plenty of TVs and darts.
