Being from the area I use to frequently stop in there for either a grinder or just to pick up bread and milk.
Within, I would say the past couple years the customer service has become pretty bad, the young kids that work there always look miserable as if they don’t want to be there and they don’t even crack a smile or even say thank you and when you ask for something from the counter, I noticed a huff and puff along with an eye roll.
The prices are way to high, I was in there last week to buy one package each, hot dog rolls and hamburger rolls and the price was $ 7.50, my mouth dropped, I couldn’t believe it, stop and shop is just up the road I should have went there.
If ma and pa’s keeps this up they will be a thing of the past. Very sad.

Decent, but their meat prices are expensive. I do like their cornbread (which I usually don’t like in general) and their pies.

This is an ok little store. I mainly stop in here for pies. The dutch apple is good but I prefer a crunchier topping. The strawberry rhubarb is also good. I liked the Italian grinder but not the corned beef. I got a sandwich that had so much gristle that it was barely edible as it could not be chewed. I’ve never had that happen anywhere and get the impression the kids working there are inexperienced. There was only one person there who could answer any questions on what was in the side salads. I did not like the potato salad. I will continue to stop in for pies but will go across the street to Wests for sandwiches.

Ma & Pa’s is a wonderful place to pick up a HUGE sandwich for lunch, but try to call ahead during the noontime crunch, when the tiny parking lot is hemorrhaging cars like a gas station in an oil shortage. They’ll have your sandwich ready exactly as you like it, and at about twice the size you’d imagined.
If you’re looking for dinner, they have a small hot food case, a few fresh vegetables, a variety of frozen meats and soups, as well as deli meats, freshly butchered offerings, and a few necessary sundries on the shelves.
It’s really a great little hometown store. You won’t find a ton of things, just the things you need.
