We used to love this place until we went to pick up an order one night(they don’t deliver-bummer) and saw the chef lick a spoon and put it back in the food he was cooking for us. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

Not the best chinese food in the area, but the best in hopatcong. Very clean(unlike lucky house), friendly, and fast. I love the friend wontons and honey chicken here. Good portions. Okay prices.

We like it. The food is not greasy like other places we have been to. The staff is very friendly too.

pretty average Chinese food, yet to find an above and beyond joint in this area. the general chicken was mostly tofu, and the sweet and sour sauce was bland and not sweet lol. but on a positive note: the pricing is decent, the place is clean(always a major factor), and the staff is welcoming and friendly. will come back again.

Seriously, this is the best chinese in Hopatcong area. Sometimes I get lazy and order from other places that deliver… I’ve tried like 4 and they are all gross. Happy Wok has the best.

Worst Chinese food ever. By reading the other reviews, I’m wondering if they’re relatives or I have the wrong restaurant(which I don’t). I ordered the«House Special» scallops and beef… without exaggeration this dish had one scallop cut in 4 but the beef was tasty. The fried rice was almost white, totally under seasoned and the wonton soup had 2 wontons and a cloudy watered down barely capable of being called a broth. Not my first visit with issues either, but now I’m done. I will travel to Howard Blvd in Mt Arlington or there is a great new Japanese Sushi place that just opened across the street from Ledgewood Lanes. I will not return to this place, to be ripped off again!

Tried this chinese joint for the first time recently. I was always going to King Wah or Lucky House prior. Gotta say this place has great chinese food in my opinion. Sesame chicken is one of my favorites, and sometimes other places seem to just make it w/too much sauce. Happy Wok had just the right balance, and was better than what I’ve had in a while. 2 thumbs up!

If there is one thing lacking in this area, it’s good chines food or people with teeth, it’s debatable! This place has average Chinese food for takeout. Some items are a hit, while others are a miss like their fried rice which is kind of odd compared to most places, its missing the whole soy sauce thing and looks more like burnt white rice with some veggies tossed in. But for a $ 5.00 to $ 8.50 you are getting what you would expect.

I’m giving it 5 stars because Good Chinese food in this area is EXTREMELY hard to come by. If it was NYC I would give it 4STARS. My favorites are the Kung Pow Chicken, boneless ribs, wonton soup, hot n sour soup, house fry rice, general tsao chicken, sesame chicken.

Very decent takeout at a good price. It’s one of the better Chinese places in the Hopatcong/Landing area(not that there are that many). I enjoy their vegetable dumplings, spring rolls, mei fun and chow fun, sesame tofu. Everything is fairly fresh.

I’m guessing that there’s better Chinese food in this neck of the woods. We ordered mu shu vegetable, szechuan chicken, won ton soup, and egg drop soup. While the mu shu passed muster, the rest fell laughably short. The szechuan chicken was just sweet and source in disguise. The won ton soup featured bland broth with dumpy dumplings and nothing else. It would probably be better to make your own stir fry…
