Great sandwiches, salads, soups, pizzas and mac n cheese. Excellent quality and value.

I got a Ahi Tuna sandwich with pimento bacon Mac n’cheese (YUMM!) the sauce is really good in the ahi sandwich and I was extremely impressed with my meal. My S. O on the other hand, not so much, he got the grilled chicken sandwich and pimento Mac n’cheese w/​bacon as well. the meat to bread portion was not as appealing and the chicken alone was EXTREMELY dry! He said we would still make it a regular eatery spot thanks to the pizza that came to the rescue.

Newks Q is the bomb. The white bbq sauce is great. I would recommend the offer a Newks Q grilled chicken salad.

Soup, salad, pizza, sandwiches. Really there is something for just about anyone. I always get the Newks Q. It’s meats, cheeses and white BBQ sauce! Amazing! To go with my sandwich the potato soup always calls my name! I just wish that they offered it every single day, but they only offer certain soups on certain days of the week. My husband always gets the margarita pizza! To me, their pizzas aren’t that great compared to all of the other pizza places in Birmingham!
This particular Newks is nice. They have nice decorations and the staff is helpful and friendly. I’ve never actually sat down and ate, I always call in to go orders, so I can’t speak for the service you get after picking up the order.

One of the best Newks locations. Honestly I’m just a salad freak and haven’t ventured out to much on the menu but I’ve heard nothing but great things about everything else. The chicken salad is pretty good also. This location gets a little crowded sometimes and service gets slow. I was slightly disappointed because they forgot things in my order that I didn’t realize till I got home. I’m sure those small bumps can be overlooked. Pretty solid service and lunch spot.

Okay, I never knew this place has fantastic salads. I’ve always eaten the pizza, but decided to venture off norm to try a healthier option. A very impressive (massive) salad was delivered to my table within 5 to 8 mins. The Ultimate Salad met all my lunch needs and could really feed 3 grown adults! Definitely, will be back and such a convenient Hoover location.

Huge menu selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches. You order at the counter and food is brought to your table. Dined in for lunch on a busy Wednesday. Food came out quickly and it was all delicious. Did the half sandwich/​half salad combo and was satisfied. Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner. I’ll be back.

Called in an order for pick up. A better choice would have been to drive through at a fast food spot. Sandwich had more bread than filling & sloppily thrown together. Salad was pre assembled probably yesterday! Not worth the money nor the calories!

Came into the store today at 10:55 and had to find someone to take my order, even though there are about 5 – 8 employees in the restaurant. Smudges all over every window, and could be much cleaner. Probably last time for a while if not ever.

Newks is between a 4 and a 5 but I went 5 because of all the brainless tools that gave the place 1 and 2 stars. The food is excellent for the most part. The service is a solid 4 and the atmosphere is very good. It’s an outstanding sandwich shop with very good soups and sides. Try the Tippah county caviar.

Have loved newk’s in the past for their A-​MAZ-​ING chicken salad sandwich with spicy mustard. It’s like an unhealthier, yummier panera.
However this isn’t my favorite newk’s experience.
Got here at 1ish on a sunday. Planned for a group of 9, which is a bit ambitious for a busy restaurant but thought we could make it work given it’s size.
There were NO tables and my husband and I desperately grabbed an un-​cleared-​away 4-​seater when it came available thinking we could combine when the rest of the party arrived. There was no place to dump the dishes and a busboy came around eventually.
We moved again when a 6-​seater came available, then tried our luck outside – no tables big enough for 5+, and all covered in dishes and trash, so then moved back inside and squeezed into another booth which worked since two members didn’t show. Again, the place was busy but this table was ALSO not cleared and covered in crud that we had to clean up ourselves.
By this time our sandwich order had been in for half an hour or more and I went to ask a nearby employee, simply because I thought they might have lost us in our frequent moving around which would’ve been understandable. The guy sounded very frustrated and brushed me off with an «as you can see we’re very busy» and cut me off before I could explain why I asked.
I may try another newks again (downtown and hwy 280 have proved good) but the chicken salad sandwich of my dreams has dwindled a bit. It just didn’t taste as good! :(
TL:DR — I doubt they take reservations. Don’t go during peak hours with 5+ folks.

Food is great. Always a good choice no matter what I want but service needs help. They need strong management. This is a review of the staff not the food.

Daughter got the Shrimp PoBoy which she devoured. Husband and I both got the Newk’s Q. FANTASTIC ! I love this place. Only reason for 4 stars, they were busy and we saw our food sitting for over 10 minutes. When we got it, it was cold so we sent it back and got fresh and hot sandwiches. Wonderful.

Happy that there is now a Newks in Hoover. Been there a few times and the food is excellent and the service is always quick. I prefer the turkey sandwich on their delicious toasted buns.

Love going to newk’s because there always so many options on the menu. Their chicken Cesar salad is great, but their signature Newk’s Q is always my go to. Try in pizza form too. So good!
