I bought 2 beautiful glasses for myself and a gift for my friend when visiting Hood River. The glasses are durable — I knocked one off the table and it rolled around but didn’t break! My only complaint is that there was only one guy working that Sunday morning, and he was getting a glassblowing class ready, so I had to wait to check out.

Had a great time watching glass being blown and then working with the artists to make a piece of art of our own. Picked up the glass the next day and was super happy with the results.

Fun little trippy place out in the middle of nowheres land it felt like. They’ve got wonderful bigger than life fairy statues out in front. Inside on one side is where the action happens though no glass artisans nearby this time. On the other side was the gallery. Would have loved to see the artists, especially the ones that created the cool fairies and butterflies outside. The vibe felt pretty business like instead on this day. We were just passing through between drinking wine and eating apples and they were asking if my dog was a service dog as we were inside the gallery. They don’t ask that about little children though they were running all over the place. At least my dog was on a leash. ;)

This place is fabulous! A big shoutout to Ian and Tyler for making us feel welcome and making the process fun, enlightening and just plain awesome :). We also had the added bonus of chatting with Laurel who is just lovely — thanks so much for sharing your talent and vision and letting us take a peak into your beautiful world. Next time I’m bringing my kids!

Tried out making our own glass creations today. Called ahead to make a reservation, definitely the way to go. Were pleasantly greeted by the owner when we arrived and browsed the shop for inspiration for our own creations. Kevin hosted us for our glass making experience. He took us step by step through the process and entertained our many questions. Had a lot of fun and learned a lot. The glass takes overnight to rest in the kiln, so be prepared to come back the next day or have your pieces shipped to you. Overall a great experience. Can’t wait to get our finished pieces! Great job Kevin!
