Omg! Great recommendation from Fabric Mart ladies. We came to buy fabric and asked for a place to eat, a must stop if you like Korean BBQ. We had three Yummy Specials to try all those wonderful delicacies. No disappointment with any. The only complaint we ordered too much. There is a Vietnamese restaurant adjacent — we couldn’t resist the Vietnamese special sandwich as well. One word awesome !!

Yummy Korean BBQ is definitely the place to go if you’re on a time crunch. Great food, fast service, friendly staff makes this a 5 star place. This is a takeout place, so it’s perfect to grab and go. Here’s what I ordered: Pork 5⁄5 The pork comes in large cuts which means you get way more than what you pay for. It’s cooked just right. Definitely a winner. Beef 5⁄5 The beef comes in thin slices which makes it easy to cut. The special teriyaki sauce they put on it seriously makes all the difference. I guess that«Yummy Korean BBQ» really is the perfect name. Glass Noodles 4⁄5 The glass noodles are good, but compared to all the other sides they offer it comes in a very small portion. If you order veggies they give you around 1 – 1.5 scoops, but with glass noodles they give you around one-quarter to one-half scoop. Are they on a shortage? This happened both times I went, even at different locations too! Great taste though… Sticky rice 5⁄5 Unlike the glass noodles, the sticky rice is given in huge portions. It is best when you let it sit under the beef and chicken for a while, because the teriyaki sauce goes on to the sticky rice. Delicious! Veggies 3⁄5 The veggies aren’t anything special. There’s no seasoning, no salt, no pepper. It’s just some boiled Bok Choy. I could replicate the same exact thing at home. Maybe better! I would definitely come back again. –Food Captain

Great place to get your kalibi fix. Located at Don Quijote Kaheka. Lots of parking and other food choices as well. Yummy’s BBQ is at the far right corner of Don Quijote store entrance. Love coming here, service is pretty quick. The ladies could be a bit more engaged and friendlier with the customers… Smile! Food is always on point and lots of eating space if your coming alone or with a group of friends.

Mini BBQ chicken with Mac salad and the green vegetable. I’m embarrassed to say after years and years I still don’t know what exactly it is(kind of like baby honest broccoli), but trust me it’s deliciously salty. That’s my go-to order and although this is a chain and feels like one inside, it’s an absolute must anytime I touch foot on this island. Pack it up and head over to Ala Moana Park and watch some of those yummy volleyball players while you eat your Yummy’s. See what I did there?

Yummys is a great hole in the wall Korean bow spot. We got our food and took it to go and headed to the beach. Kalbi is pretty damn good and so is the Mac

This is my favorite Yummy Korean BBQ location just because it’s probably the cleanest one! They also always have all of the vegetables every time I come vs. the other ones… when some of the other locations run out of the vegetables, you’re just out of luck for the rest of the day. The dining area is a nice size and never too packed. Like I said, it’s nice and clean. The workers here are not friendly just like every other Yummy’s but their food is the bomb so I will come back no matter what! Parking is never a problem here either since they share the parking lot/structure with Don Quijote and there’s lots of parking.

Great place for some good food. I ordered the meat jun and bbq chicken combo with a bunch of the eggs on the side. Everything was pretty good. Price is not bad for the amount of food they give. Service was ok too. Overall 4 stars because the food was good. The music that’s being played in here right now is actually not bad too. Alicia keys, Lauryn hill, etc. lol. I would definitely recommend this place to friends, for a quick and convenient bite to eat.

This is a chain with many restaurants on island. This one is just as yummy, and their portions are a bit larger. No ambience, but friendly service and great prices! Convenient next to DQ grocery.

Easily the WORST yummys ive ever been to. They managed to overcook and undercook different portions of my bi bim bap. Portion sizes were small(even the rice), and the flavor was not even on par with ither middle of the road korean bbq joints. They even managed to mess up the bean sprouts. How, I ask you??? Will not be returning.

I really like the food at other location so opted to try this location and grab a late lunch here. I probably should have grabbed an early lunch because they are insanely slow and by the time I got my food I was delirious and hangry. When I ordered there were 4 clients in front of me and it took 15 minutes!!! #firstworldproblems If the serving time would have been shorter they would have gotten a higher score BUT it is fast food. Maybe I’m still hangry?

Happy and yummy! I enjoy this chain of Korean restaurants, both for portion size and quality of meats. Everything is always yummy as well! My favorite is the boneless and lean beef BBQ. The regular portion is served with two scoops of rice with four sides. There are generally about 20 choices for the sides. My favorites: corn, choi sum, kimchee, tofu, Mac salad, and potato salad. There are both healthy and fattening choices. This restaurant is located inside Don Quijote. The staff is usually nice, today was the most generous portion size I’ve ever experienced. They have tables to eat there and offer take out. It’s a good value for the money, complete meals under $ 15. Eat here is your starving on your way to groceries!

Pretty happy with the bibimbap and the meat jun plate. But it’s pricey compared to other Korean BBQ places I’ve been to. I always ask for the extra Korean chili paste for the bibimbap yummm.

This yummys location was yummy! :). They gave us a lot of good for the combo plate, me and my boyfriend shared and was enough for both us! Fresh veggies always a plus and great food quality too! Will probably be back for more next week sometime, it’s a good location right near Don Quixote!

Cost more than Pearl Bar B Q in Makiki. Yummys size of sides is also less then Pearl. Taste about the same.

Haven’t been here in about 5 years, having my pick of the great Japanese bentos, Greek and Chinese kiosks nearby. But the strange fat person I was with that day wanted Korean. So it was Korean. Then after I ordered, he went and ordered some Viet from the nearby Ba-Le. Traitor. I was tired and sore. Almost cold. It was perfect soup day. Ordered up the mundoo kook soo which is mundoo and noodles combo in soup and waited while the dumpy doo I was with not only ordered his Viet food but chowed down half way through his plate before my soup was called up. I had asked if they made their own or was it frozen and the counter help was honest enough. Frozen. So I ordered my soup and not the extra fried mundoo plate I was going to share with my fat friend. Served nicely with the broth separate from the noodles and mundoo, it looked delicious but smelled only of garlic. The broth was pure hot water. I think it was the water the mundoo was boiled in and the mundoo had no flavor… except garlic. It was BAD. Every bite was like tasting hot water with a boiled egg in it. I am not exaggerating. I poured sauce all over it. It tasted like sauce in boiled water. I pretended I didn’t want anything else but I had to stand up and order some Viet spring rolls. But by then, I had tried to enjoy half of the soup. I packed it up to go. To this day, I honestly don’t know if I left it in a car, on a bench, in the fridge. But I cant find the fricken leftovers. So be it. Was meant to be.

Yummy Korean BBQ is located in the pseudo food court adjacent to Don Quijote. It shares an enclosed space with Bale, and also has a dine in section with tables and chairs for your«I’m hungry now» eating pleasure. I’ve tried a number of items on the menu here mainly bc the bf and I frequent Don Quijote and coincidentally tend to be hungry at the same time. Grocery shopping while hungry is a «no, no» unless you’re okay w/spending an additional $ 40+, eating with your eyes first and grabbing anything that looks good… Don Quijote sells«ready to eat» foods, but bc we are regulars. Change is good. Spicy Pork — it’s nowhere near authentic or anything, but it’s pretty tasty. It’s comes drenched in sauce, so it’s a good thing it comes with rice. Bi Bim Kook Soo — I know the food at this chain of restaurants is geared towards locals and«Americans,» but this is taking it to another level. The noodles are like angel hair pasta or thin spaghetti noodles.(They claim to use«somen» noodles.) The flavor of the sauce isn’t bad, but it lacks that Korean kick. And even when I order this dish«extra, extra spicy,» it barely tingles my tongue. Bygones… Bi Bim Bap — decent, but ask for extra gochuchang. OR, you can do what I do and spice it up when you get home: make your own gochuchang and add a bit of Srirracha. The same trend goes for many of the other dishes I’ve tried — lack of authenticity, but decent enough. However, the one thing I absolutely love at Yummy K-BBQ is their garlic potato salad. It’s slightly sweet with just the right amount of garlic flavor. It’s not quite JR’s potato salad, but I like it just the same. :) The prices at the Yummy chain has definitely gone up within the past several years, but thats how it goes.(Afterall, this is Hawaii.) I’d much rather spend the money I’m spending at Yummy Korean BBQ on authentic Korean fare, but convenience often gets the best of me. I’d say, all in all, this place isn’t bad. A-OK.
